CHILD SEAT ANCHOR INCLUDING ENERGY ABSORBER

A vehicle seat includes a seatback and a child seat tether anchor supported by the seatback. The child seat tether anchor has a first member fixed to the seatback and a second member rotatably supported by the seatback. One of the first member and the second member defines a cavity with internal threads and the other of the first and second member is received in the cavity and has external threads engaged with the internal threads. A strap is on the second member. An energy absorber is in the cavity. The energy absorber is compressible relative to the first member and the second member.

Seatbelt and child seat anchor based occupancy detection system

A system for detecting the presence of an occupant in a child seat is provided. The system includes at least two sensor modules positioned to detect acceleration of the child seat. The sensor modules provide signals representative of the acceleration detected at the first and send sensor modules to a controller. The controller includes signal processing circuitry for processing the signal to determine whether the signals received from the sensor modules are representative of the physiological motion of the occupant. The controller processes the signals received from the sensor modules to isolate acceleration of the child seat from the motion of the vehicle.

Apparatus for mounting child safety seat and seat for vehicle with apparatus for mounting child safety seat

An apparatus for mounting a child safety seat and a seat for a vehicle, which are capable of easing a restriction on a position of the child safety seat on the vehicle seat due to a limited width of the vehicle, so as to enhance the degree of freedom of such a position. At the same time, the apparatus and seat allow mounting of the child safety seat on the vehicle seat in a precise and reliable manner in such a way that the child safety seat can endure an impact load in a longitudinal direction of the vehicle or a lateral direction of the vehicle.

Various solutions to make use of the lateral space of the rear seats in a vehicle. A first embodiment comprises a side module with: a first main body, in a longitudinal direction; first fixing means solidly joined to the first main body, so as to fix it to vehicle rings fixed to the vehicle; and a first adapter, which in turn comprises: a first adapter body, oriented in the longitudinal direction, and linked to the first main body, relative to which it is longitudinally movable; second fixing means, solidly joined to the first adapter body, for being fixed to object anchors mounted on the object; and first regulation means for enabling a selective fixation of the first adapter body in a desired position relative to the first main body in the longitudinal direction.

Seat back frame

A back frame (28) for a seat back (18). The back frame (28) has side members (30) and cross members (32). The side members (30) have a dimension (40) which is larger than a corresponding dimension (42) of the crossmembers (32). The dimensions (40) and (42) being taken along the same direction. The crossmember (32) is inserted into a partial opening (34) in the side member (30). Since the dimension (42) is less than the dimension (40), the partial opening (34) does not extend across the entire dimension (42). Instead the opening (34) only partially extends across the dimension (40) to a length substantially equal to dimension (42). The partial opening (34) is arranged against one side of the side member (30), so that the cross member (32) is positioned closer to that side. Sleeve nuts (36) are arranged in the side members (30), and are used to attach a recliner (54) which then attaches to the seat base (16).

SEAT AND SEAT TRIM STRUCTURE FOR A VEHICLE AND VEHICLE HAVING SAME

A vehicle seat and seat structure for use with an ISOFIX bar is disclosed. The vehicle seat can include a bottom portion, a back portion, a trim portion located between the bottom portion and the back portion, and left and right ISOFIX bars located at the trim portion. A trim cover, made from a flexible material such as a carpet, fabric, or other known vehicle interior material, can extend from a left side of the seat to a right side of the seat and can include left and right openings configured to allow the ISOFIX bars to pass therethrough. A one-piece integrally molded member can be overmolded onto the flexible material trim cover, and can include left and right pocket indents. The left and right pocket indents can each include a slot configured to allow a respective ISOFIX bar to pass therethrough.

Vehicle seat

A vehicle seat includes: a seat back; and a seat cushion including: a first side frame; a second side frame; a front frame connecting front end portions of the first side frame and the second side frame to each other; and a rear frame connecting rear end portions of the first side frame and the second side frame to each other. The first side frame includes: a frame member including a closed sectional shape part between the front frame and the rear frame; a first reinforcing member being provided between the front frame and the rear frame to pass through an inner side wall and an outer side wall, and being joined with the inner side wall and the outer side wall; and a connection member connecting an end portion of the first reinforcing member with at least one frame of the front frame and the rear frame.

Vehicle seat

The invention relates to a vehicle seat comprising a seat surface and a backrest. The seat surface and the backrest comprise, in particular, a seat cover which forms a surface of the seat surface and the backrest. Two fastening means which are spaced apart in the transverse direction are attached to the backrest or the seat surface, an additional device, in particular a child seat, being able to be attached thereby to the vehicle seat. Advantageously the fastening means are attached at a transition between the seat surface and the backrest. If the fastening means are not required for attaching the additional device, the fastening means may be covered. To this end, the vehicle seat comprises a covering element which is configured to be strip-shaped.
