A foldable vehicle includes a seat base, a seatback connected to the seat base for pivotal movement relative to the seat base from a generally vertical use position to a generally horizontal stow position atop the seat base, wherein the seat base is pivotally connected to the floor such that, when the seatback is moved from its use position to the folded, stow position, the seat base may be moved rearward and downward to thereby provide a lower load floor position. The seat also includes a lock mechanism to engage and lock the seat base in a first position when the seatback is positioned within the defined range of use positions, and unlock the seat base for movement to a second position when the seatback is positioned outside the use range.

Vehicle seating assembly with lockout cam

A vehicle seating assembly includes a mounting bracket, a seat, a seatback, and a cam assembly. The seat is rotatably coupled to the mounting bracket. The seatback is rotatably coupled to the mounting bracket. The seatback includes a protrusion. The cam assembly is rotatably coupled to the mounting bracket. The cam assembly includes a lockout cam having a first end and a second end. The first end of the lockout cam engages with the protrusion of the seatback such that movement of the seatback relative to the mounting bracket is restricted in a first non-use state. The second end of the lockout cam engages with the seat such that movement of the seat relative to the mounting bracket is restricted in a second non-use state.

Suspension device, backrest and seat arrangement

A suspension device for a backrest for assisting an adjustment movement may have at least one spring element with a basic body and two end portions protruding from the basic body. The device also having a bearing element with a guide opening, and a counterbearing element with a receptacle. A first end portion is arranged in the receptacle and is mounted movably in a first direction relative to the counterbearing element. A second end portion may be arranged in the guide opening and may be mounted movably in a second direction relative to the bearing element. A backrest and a seat arrangement having the suspension device are also provided.

SEAT CONTROLLING APPARATUS AND METHOD

A seat controlling apparatus includes a driving part, a memory, and a controller. The seat controlling apparatus may: fold a first seat using the driving part when receiving a folding input for the first seat; determine whether a partition wall adjacent to the first seat satisfies an unfolding condition while the first seat is folded; and unfold the partition wall such that one surface of the partition wall faces a second seat adjacent to the first seat when the partition wall satisfies the unfolding condition.

FOLDING AUTOMOTIVE SEAT
20250376085 · 2025-12-11 ·

A configurable seat system with a collapsible seat cushion frame is described. The seat system can incorporate a kinematic structure at the seat cushion frame, such that the kinematic structure can be adjusted to cause the seat cushion to have a variable thickness/height. The adjustable seat enables convenient egress/ingress of a region of a passenger compartment and also convenient extension of a cargo bay area. One or more motors can be utilized to adjust respective position of respective components included in the seat system. Operation of the motors can be enabled in response to selection of a button, e.g., flat fold configuration, entry/exit configuration, and such. Hence, an occupant of the vehicle only has to press a button to adjust the seat position with the one or more motors in conjunction with respective linkages/seat structure regardless of the mass of the seat system.

Seat

A seat comprises a base frame part, a cushion frame part provided at one side of the base frame part, a back frame part provided at one side of the base frame part and one side of the cushion frame part, a first cushion link having a first side rotatably coupled to the cushion frame part and a second side rotatably coupled to the base frame part, a first back link having a first side rotatably coupled to the back frame part and a second side rotatably coupled to the base frame part, and a connection link having a first side rotatably coupled to the first cushion link and a second side rotatably coupled to the first back link.

Vehicle seat with fold-flat position

A vehicle seat comprises: first and second risers to engage with respective first and second rails on a floor of a vehicle; a seatback extending from a first pivot at the first and second risers; and a seat cushion mounted to the first and second risers using a four-bar linkage, wherein the seat cushion is not attached to the seatback and is not supported by the seatback; wherein the vehicle seat has (i) a comfort position in which a latch holds the seat cushion in a first position relative to the seatback, the seat cushion supported only by the four-bar linkage in the first position, and (ii) a fold-flat position in which the four-bar linkage is folded to position the seat cushion toward the floor, and in which the seatback is folded about the first pivot and assumes a second position at least partially overlapping the seat cushion.

Sliding interlocking reclining seat structure

A sliding interlocking reclining seat structure includes a seat cushion assembly configured to move forward and backward within a vehicle body, a rail assembly positioned on a lower end of the seat cushion assembly and configured so that the seat cushion assembly slides, a seatback assembly connected to the seat cushion assembly through a hinge part and configured to move in a height direction of the vehicle body in response to the sliding of the seat cushion assembly, and a latch assembly, disposed on an upper end of the seatback assembly, including a guide bracket having a slot formed therein in a height direction, and configured to be fastened to one end of a striker fixed to the vehicle body. While the seat cushion assembly slides, the latch assembly vertically moves along the slot when fastened to the striker, and the seatback assembly moves in the height direction of the vehicle body as the hinge part moves forward.

Auto return headrest for seat assembly

An assembly comprises a seat bottom and a seat back pivotally attached to the seat bottom. The seat back is pivotal between a fold-forward position and an in-use position. A headrest is pivotally attached to the seat back by a tilt mechanism and is pivotal between a folded position and an upright position via the tilt mechanism. The tilt mechanism pivots the headrest forward to the folded position in response to the seat back being pivoted to the fold-forward position. A headrest-return mechanism is operably coupled to the seat back and to the headrest, wherein the headrest-return mechanism actuates the headrest such that the headrest is pivoted from the folded position to the upright position in response to the seat back being pivoted from the fold-forward position to the in-use position.
