Vehicle seat with foldable stow position
A foldable vehicle includes a seat base, a seatback connected to the seat base for pivotal movement relative to the seat base from a generally vertical use position to a generally horizontal stow position atop the seat base, wherein the seat base is pivotally connected to the floor such that, when the seatback is moved from its use position to the folded, stow position, the seat base may be moved rearward and downward to thereby provide a lower load floor position. The seat also includes a lock mechanism to engage and lock the seat base in a first position when the seatback is positioned within the defined range of use positions, and unlock the seat base for movement to a second position when the seatback is positioned outside the use range.
CABLE RELEASE BYPASS SYSTEM AND VEHICLE SEAT WITH CABLE RELEASE BYPASS SYSTEM
A cable actuator system includes an actuating cable for connection to an actuator and to an actuatable device and a bypass assembly connected to the actuating cable. The bypass assembly includes a bypass input with a first input position and with a second input position. With the bypass input in the first input position the bypass assembly acts on the cable such that an actuating movement of the cable by the actuator moves the cable an actuating distance at the actuatable device to actuate the actuatable device. With the bypass input in the second input position the bypass assembly acts on the cable such that the actuating movement of the cable by the actuator does not move the cable the actuating distance at the actuatable device. A vehicle seat, with a seat base, a backrest, an actuator, and a vehicle seat actuatable device, also includes the cable actuator system.
VEHICLE SEAT
A vehicle seat includes a side frame, a cushion panel, and an insertion member. One of the side frame and the cushion panel is provided with an elastically deformed portion including an outer circumferential surface and an inner circumferential surface, the outer circumferential surface being configured to be expanded outward by insertion of the insertion member on the inner side of the inner circumferential surface. The other of the side frame and the cushion panel is provided with a recess forming portion facing the outer circumferential surface of the elastically deformed portion, the recess forming portion having an inner surface configured to be brought into pressure contact with the outer circumferential surface expanded by insertion of the insertion member.

A vehicle seat capable of housing a seat main body includes a seat pivot shaft to which the seat main body is connected to be pivotable, and a detachable leg whose upper end is mounted to the seat main body and whose lower end is detachably held onto a leg holding member on a vehicle body floor. When the seat main body moves from a housed state side to a usage state side, a leg guide portion causes a cushion abutting portion to abut a base abutting portion in advance, thereby guiding the detachable leg moving together with the seat main body to pass above a leg movement inhibiting portion which is a portion of a support base.
CABLE ASSEMBLY FOR VEHICLE SEAT HEADREST
A cable assembly for folding vehicle seats having a folding headrest that folds as the seat back is moved to a folded positon. A cable interconnects a headrest folding mechanism with a stationary component whereby movement of the seat back shifts the cable. The cable assembly includes first and second portions that are interconnected by an adjuster rod and a retainer. The adjuster rod and retainer permit interconnection of the first and second cable segments upon assembly of the headrest with the seat back in a manner that permits taking up slack in the cable assembly.
Vehicle seat and method for stowing a seat element
The invention relates to a vehicle seat (1) comprising a seat element (2) that can be vertically adjusted from an operational position to a stowed position. Said vehicle seat has a first locking element for securing the seat element in the operational position, and a positioning means for positioning the seat element in a transitional position, the seat element being manually transferable directly or indirectly from the transitional position to the stowed position.
REMOVABLE FRESH WATER RESERVOIR
A water reservoir in combination with a seating assembly for a motor vehicle comprising a lower seat assembly having a deployed position and a seatback assembly having a deployed position is disclosed, where the water reservoir is installed either behind the seatback assembly in the deployed position or below the lower seat assembly in the deployed position, and the water reservoir is removably received within a volume defined in part by either of the seatback assembly or the lower seat assembly, respectively.
REAR SEAT / KINEMATIC / SEAT BACK FOLDING WITH RESISTANCE CURVE
A damper is arranged between the seat backrest and the seat base. This damper applies a resistance to seat backrest movement, especially movement from the vertical position to the folded position. The damper includes a pin and profile mounted on the seat backrest and seat base respectively, or vice versa. The pin and profile slide against each other during movement of the seat backrest relative to the seat base. The shape, size, material, and/or the surface characteristics of the pin and profile determine the resistance to movement of the seat backrest. These parameters of the pin and profile can be varied, especially along different portions of the profile to apply the desired resistance at different angular positions of the seat backrest with respect to the seat base.
Vehicle Seat
Provided is a vehicle seat which is attached to a floor of a vehicle via a rail device and a coupling device with a high level of stiffness so as to minimize deformation of the rail device and the coupling device without substantially increasing the weight and the manufacturing cost of the seat. The vehicle seat is provided with an upper engagement portion secured to a member on a side of an upper rail of the rail device, and a lower engagement portion secured to a member on a side of a lower rail of the rail device and including a part opposing a corresponding part of the upper engagement portion from above defining a prescribed gap therebetween. The coupling device is provided laterally spaced from the rail device, and the upper engagement portion and the lower engagement portion are provided substantially directly above the coupling device.

The present invention relates to a vehicle seat (1), comprising a seat element (2), which can be height-adjusted from a usage position to a stowing position, and comprising a backrest element (3), wherein the backrest element (3) can be pivoted about a stationary primary axis (A), wherein the backrest element (3) is operatively connected to the seat element (2) by means of an articulated system in such a way that the seat element (2) can be transferred from the usage position to the stowing position by means of a pivoting motion of the backrest element (3), wherein the articulated system has a deflecting element (7), wherein the deflecting element (7) can be pivoted about a stationary secondary axis (B), wherein a secondary plane (B), which extends perpendicularly to the direction of travel (D) and comprises the secondary axis (B), is arranged in front of a primary plane (A), which extends perpendicularly to the direction of travel (D) and comprises the primary axis (A), in a direction extending parallel to the direction of travel (D).
