Lighting and/or signaling light-emitting device for vehicles
A light-emitting device, notably a lighting and/or signaling device for a motor vehicle, including at least one first light source intended to emit a first modulated light beam coding information; at least one second light source intended to emit a second modulated light beam coding information; a control device adapted: to determine, on receiving information to be transmitted via the light-emitting device, if a first light beam intended to be emitted by the first source should be modulated to code the information to be transmitted and/or if a second beam intended to be emitted by the second source should be modulated to code the information to be transmitted, the determination depending on information relating to the local solar illumination; as a function of the determination, to modulate the first light beam and/or the energization second light beam to code the information to be transmitted.
VEHICULAR LAMP, VEHICULAR LAMP CONTROL SYSTEM, AND VEHICLE INCLUDING THE SAME
Disclosed is a vehicular lamp including: a plurality of light emitting elements for drawing a pattern on a road surface which is individually turned ON/OFF; and an optical system which transmits light emitted from the plurality of light emitting elements, the plurality of light emitting elements is disposed along a horizontal direction of a vehicle in parallel, and the optical system projects a light source image of each light emitting element on a road surface as a light distribution pattern which extends in the vertical direction more than in the horizontal direction of the vehicle.
Headlight controller and vehicle headlight system
A headlight controller and a vehicle headlight system including an ADB can include a headlight controller and an optical unit. The headlight controller can include a system controller, a vehicle detector and a camera photographing forward vehicles located in a travelling direction of a subject vehicle, and the system controller can be configured to output a light-emitting control signal to provide favorable light distribution patterns by using vehicle data output from the vehicle detector in accordance with image data output from the camera. The optical unit can be configured to provide the favorable light distribution patterns using lights emitted from a right and left light-emitting device in accordance with the light-emitting control signal. Thus, the disclosed subject matter can include providing vehicle headlight systems that can form various favorable light distribution patterns by utilizing the characteristics of the headlight controller and the optical unit in accordance with various traffic conditions.
Headlight setting activation via a stalk switch
Method, apparatus, and computer storage media are disclosed for headlight setting activation via a stalk switch. An example vehicle includes a stalk switch and a headlamp controller. The example headlamp controller is to monitor the stalk switch and detect, in response to identifying the stalk switch is transitioning to a high-beam position, a number of occurrences the stalk switch is set at the high-beam position in a predetermined time period. Also, the example headlamp controller is to activate, in response to determining the number of occurrences is two, a first headlight setting of headlamps.
Method for providing control system of vehicle, electric control unit and headlight control system
A method of preparing a vehicle control system having an intended function by using at least two ECUs is provided. One of the at least two ECUs is used for adaptively incorporating a modified portion of the intended function of the vehicle control system through re-design in a short period, while the rest of the ECUs in the vehicle control system sustain and support an unchanging portion of the intended function of the vehicle control system.
Light source assembly, and headlamp and vehicle having the same
A light source assembly with default safety function includes a laser source, an optical splitter, a fluorescent layer, an optical-electrical converter, and a voltage controller. The optical splitter has first solid portion, a second solid portion, and an optical transition. The fluorescent layer can absorb a laser and convert it into visible light. The optical-electrical converter receives a portion of the visible light and converts it into an electrical signal. The voltage controller applies a voltage to the optical splitter when no electrical signal converted from visible light is received. Refractive indexes of the first and second solid portions are equal when no voltage is applied to the optical splitter but refractive index of the first solid portion increases when voltage is applied to the optical splitter, thereby causing total reflection of the laser beam.
Vehicular lighting using passive and/or active optics
A reflector unit may behave as a retroreflector to reflect light of a selected color. The reflector unit may comprise a first reflector having a first color, a second reflector having a second color, and a mask that either allows incoming light to reach the first reflector and not the second reflector or allows incoming light to reach the second reflector and not the first reflector. An active light unit may emit light of a particular color in response to receiving light. In this fashion, the active light unit may simulate the operation of a reflector. The reflector unit and the active light unit may operate on a bi-directional vehicle.
ACCESSORY FOR VEHICLES FOR AUTOMATING MAIN BEAMS COMPLETE WITH AN ELECTRONIC SYSTEM FOR REDUCING OPTICAL DISTURBANCES
The electronic device described in the present patent application applies to the accessories used to automate the main beams that use sensors to detect the light coming from the vehicles met along roads. The device reduces or even suppresses the undesired effects produced by reflections, onto the surrounding objects, of the lights of the vehicle on which it is mounted, thus avoiding undesired main beam turn-off signals. Said device is particularly convenient to use if mounted after the vehicle is commissioned, being it compatible with wireless transmission systems which make its installation easier.
VEHICLE LIGHTING CONTROL SYSTEM
A vehicle lighting control system for controlling headlights of a vehicle and a display device comprises an illuminance detector for detecting an illuminance outside of the vehicle, and a lighting controller for controlling luminances of the headlights and the display device based on the detected illuminance. The lighting controller includes a headlight controlling module for turning the headlights off when the illuminance is above a first threshold, and turning the headlights on when the illuminance is the first threshold or below, and a display device controlling module for controlling the luminance of the display device to a first set value when the illuminance is above a second threshold, and controlling the luminance of the display device to a second set value when the illuminance is the second threshold or below, the second threshold being lower than the first threshold, the second set value being lower than the first set value.
