ADJUSTING INSTRUMENT, EXTERIOR MIRROR UNIT, MOTOR VEHICLE
Adjusting instrument for an exterior mirror of a motor vehicle, comprising a foot for attachment to the fixed world, being the motor vehicle, and a housing adjustably connected with the foot, the housing being adjustable around a rotation axis extending through the adjusting instrument, while around the rotation axis a passage opening is provided for passing through a cable tree, the housing being provided with a slot along a height thereof which provides lateral access to the passage opening and the foot being provided with a slot along a height thereof which provides lateral access to the passage opening, the housing being furthermore adjustable relative to the foot into an assembly position in which the slot of the foot aligns with the slot of the housing to provide lateral access to the passage opening for laterally introducing a cable tree into the passage opening.
Folding Device for an Exterior Mirror
A folding device to move a mirror head relative to a mirror foot of a motor vehicle exterior mirror. The folding device includes a carrier operatively connected to one of the mirror head or the mirror foot, a motor attached to the carrier, the motor having a motor shaft, an output drive operatively connected to one of the mirror head or the mirror foot, a gear mechanism to operatively connect the output drive to the motor shaft, and a pressure device operatively connected to the carrier to engage and press the motor shaft against the motor.
Folding Device for an Exterior Mirror
A folding device to move a mirror head relative to a mirror base of a motor vehicle exterior mirror, the folding device including a carrier operatively connected to one of the mirror head or the mirror base, a motor arranged in the carrier, and which has a motor shaft, an output device operatively connected to one of the mirror base or the mirror head, and a gear mechanism to operatively connect the output device to the motor shaft. The motor shaft and the output device are located parallel with each other, and the motor, the output device, and the gear mechanism are positioned relative to each other via the carrier, such that the axial spacings of the motor shaft, the output device, and the gear mechanism located therebetween are determined via the carrier.

EXTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY
An exterior rearview mirror assembly for mounting at a vehicle includes a base portion configured for attachment at a side of the vehicle, and a mirror head having a mirror reflective element, an attachment plate and an electrically-operable mirror actuator. The base portion extends through an aperture in the mirror head. The mirror actuator is attached at the attachment plate, which includes wall structure that extends from the front side of the attachment plate and that circumscribes and spans a perimeter circumferential edge of a glass substrate of the mirror reflective element. The mirror actuator is electrically operable to adjust the mirror head relative to the base portion. The aperture allows for movement of the mirror head relative to the base portion during operation of the mirror actuator.

APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING SIDE MIRROR OF AUTONOMOUS VEHICLE AND METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure relates to an apparatus for controlling a side mirror of an autonomous vehicle and a method thereof. According to an embodiment of the present disclosure, it is possible to detect whether a vehicle is autonomously driven and to fold the side mirror such that a mirror surface is in close contact with a vehicle body surface or side window glass or to insert the side mirror into the inner space of the vehicle when the vehicle is autonomously driven. Through the present disclosure, it is possible to notify an external vehicle of information indicating that the vehicle is driven in an autonomous driving mode.

EXTERIOR REARVIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY
A vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly includes a mounting arm and a mirror head having a mirror reflective element. An electrically-operated actuator includes a first attachment element that attaches at an actuator-mounting bracket of the mounting arm and a second attachment element that attaches at the mirror head. The actuator includes first and second motors that are electrically operated to cause adjustment of the mirror head relative to the mounting arm about respective first and second pivot axes. A mounting post of the mounting arm passes through an opening of the mirror head, the opening providing clearance between the mirror head and the mounting arm to allow movement of the mirror head relative to the mounting arm during electrical operation of the actuator when the base mounting portion of the vehicular exterior rearview mirror assembly is mounted at the exterior portion of the side door of the equipped vehicle.
