Airbag device
[Problem] To provide an airbag device capable of controlling flow of gas discharged from an inflator. [Resolution Means] The airbag device is an airbag device that expands and deploys in a vehicle passenger compartment of a vehicle and restrains a passenger sitting in a first seat from a side, including: a cushion 41 provided with a horizontal portion 41d that deploys in a horizontal direction of the vehicle in an expanded and deployed state and a protruding portion 41e that deploys in an upward direction of the vehicle from a center portion of the horizontal portion 41d; a diffuser that is secured inside the cushion 41, that is open in the horizontal direction of the vehicle, closed in a downward direction of the vehicle, and partially or entirely closed in a direction toward the protruding portion; and an inflator 42 that is secured to the first seat, provided inside the diffuser, and that discharges gas for expansion and deployment.
Lateral occupant engagement cushions
Lateral airbag cushions for preventing or inhibiting inboard occupant excursion. Some embodiments may comprise an inflatable cushion configured to deploy adjacent to a vehicle seat laterally of a vehicle occupant and a tether coupled with the inflatable cushion. The tether may be configured to be coupled to the vehicle seat at opposite ends and may be configured to, upon deployment, form the inflatable cushion into a pocket or other lateral engagement structure adjacent to the vehicle occupant to engage a shoulder and/or arm region of the vehicle occupant to prevent or at least inhibit inboard/lateral excursion during an impact event.
AIRBAG DEVICE
An airbag device configured to be disposed in front of an occupant in a vehicle includes: an inflator configured to generate gas; an airbag that is folded and housed, the airbag being configured to be inflated and deployed by the gas generated by the inflator; and a holding member including an attachment portion to which the inflator is attached, and holding the folded airbag capable of being inflated and deployed from an occupant side opposite the attachment portion. The holding member includes an inhibiting portion that covers a part of the folded airbag from the occupant side and that is configured to partially inhibit initial inflation and deployment of the airbag. The inhibiting portion has a first region and a second region where inhibiting forces that inhibit the initial inflation and deployment are different from each other.
Airbag device for panorama roof
An airbag device for a panorama roof may include: a roller disposed under a panorama roof and having a blind wound therearound, the blind serving to cover the panorama roof; a head liner covering the roller; an inflator disposed at sides of the panorama roof; a guide tunnel connected to the inflator to guide gas; and a cushion connected to the guide tunnel, and deployed by gas guided through the guide tunnel so as to cover the panorama roof.
Occupant restraint device
An occupant restraint device including: right and left airbags stored inside right and left sides of a seat back of a vehicle seat, respectively; right and left tension cloths connected to outer surfaces of the right and left airbags, respectively; and a lower tension cloth disposed inside a seat cushion of a vehicle seat, the lower tension cloth being continuously connected between lower parts of the right and left tension cloths. The lower tension cloth is movable in right and left directions with respect to an occupant sitting in the vehicle seat. When the right and left airbags are expanded and deployed, the right tension cloth, the left tension cloth, and the lower tension cloth are configured to push the expanded and deployed right and left airbags toward the occupant.
PROCESS FOR FORMING AN AIRBAG CHUTE ON A SEAT
An occupant support includes a seat frame, a seat cushion unit, and an airbag system. The airbag system includes an airbag unit coupled to the seat frame and an airbag chute coupled to the seat cushion unit. The airbag chute encloses the airbag unit and retains the airbag unit to the seat frame. The airbag chute includes a first chute flap, a second chute flap, and a zipper coupling distal ends of the first and second chute together in an installed position.
MOUNTING BRACKET FOR A CURTAIN AIRBAG
A mounting bracket for being installed in a mounting tab of a curtain airbag to facilitate connecting the curtain airbag to a vehicle with a fastener includes a plate with a bracket aperture extending therethrough. At least one retainer tab extends radially inward into the bracket aperture from a periphery of the bracket aperture. A free end portion of the at least one retainer tab defines a retainer aperture sized to form an interference fit with the fastener. The at least one retainer tab and the retainer aperture are configured to retain a fastener extending through the mounting tab.
Motor Vehicle
A motor vehicle includes a body that forms a vehicle interior, where a front seat row and a rear seat row are formed in the vehicle interior. A rear seat of the rear seat row is disposed adjacent to a side wall of the body and the rear seat has a backrest. A side part of the rear seat is disposed between the backrest and the side wall. An airbag module is disposed in the side part and extends approximately parallel to the backrest and at least over a length of the backrest and an airbag guide sack surrounds the airbag module. The airbag module and the airbag guide sack are fastened to a carrier shell and the carrier shell is attached to the body.
Vehicle seat
A seat includes an airbag module fixed to a seat frame, a trim cover including a breaking part which breaks according to an inflation and a deployment of an airbag of the airbag module, a first stay cloth and a second stay cloth which guide the inflating and deploying airbag to the breaking part, a first fixing member which is attached to the backside frame and stretches and supports the first stay cloth, and a second fixing member which stretches and supports the second stay cloth, in which the backside frame is provided with a pair of first attachment holes into which both end portions of the first fixing member are inserted and a pair of second attachment holes into which both end portions of the second fixing member are inserted.
Head protecting airbag device
An airbag includes an annular attachment portion having an opening portion through which a bracket can be inserted and which is open in a substantially square shape. A case includes a protective ring portion having an opening through which the bracket can be inserted and which protects the annular attachment portion. The protective ring portion includes a corner cover portion that covers areas of front and rear corner portions on an upper edge side of an inner peripheral edge of the opening portion.
