Provided are an airbag deployment system of a vehicle and an airbag deployment method thereof. The airbag deployment system includes a rear-viewable seat rotatably installed in a front row of the vehicle; a seat state detection unit configured to measure a rear-facing state, a current slide amount, and a backrest angle of the rear-viewable seat; a multiple-airbag unit that includes a first airbag installed in a backrest of the rear-viewable seat and configured to deploy rearward, and a second airbag installed in a dashboard; and a controller configured to, when a vehicle collision event occurs in the rear-facing state of the rear-viewable seat, calculate a distance between the dashboard and the backrest by using the current slide amount and the backrest angle, and selectively deploy at least one airbag according to a preset multiple-airbag deployment condition for each range based on the calculated distance.

The present invention relates to an airbag apparatus for a vehicle. In order to attain the purpose, the airbag apparatus for a vehicle according to the present invention comprises: a mounting board positioned in front of a rider; and an airbag module which is installed on the mounting board and, when a vehicle collides, restrains and protects the rider by means of inflating and expanding an airbag cushion toward the rider. Therefore, when the vehicle collides, the airbag cushion is inflated and expanded from the mounting board and thus the rider can safely be protected.

Disclosed is a seat airbag for a vehicle, the seat airbag including an airbag cushion including lateral cushions configured to be deployed forward from lateral sides of a seatback, and front cushions bent and extending from front ends of the lateral cushions toward a seat center and positioned at a front side of the passenger, and support tethers configured to connect upper portions of the front cushions and an upper portion of the seatback or connect lower portions of the front cushions and a lower portion of the seatback so that the front cushions support a passenger when the passenger is loaded onto the front cushions.

A curtain airbag apparatus according to an embodiment includes: an outer cushion provided on an upper side of a pillar constituting a vehicle along a forward and backward direction of the vehicle to be expandable; a plurality of inner cushions which are fixed to an inner side of the outer cushion along the forward and backward direction of the vehicle to be spaced apart from each other and are independently expandable; and inflators disposed in the plurality of inner cushions, respectively, so as to eject gas into the inner cushions so that the inner cushions are expanded by generation of the gas.

An airbag operating apparatus for a vehicle may include: a sensing signal input unit configured to receive a sensing signal; a plurality of squib driving units including input ports connected in parallel to one another, having internal resistances set different from one another, installed to correspond to a plurality of airbags, respectively, and configured to drive the corresponding airbags when reaching an ignition current value according to airbag deployment signals; a storage unit configured to store the internal resistances of the plurality of squib driving units and output voltages of the airbag deployment signals according to deployment situations; and a control unit configured to receive the sensing signal from the sensing signal input unit, determine situations for deploying the plurality of airbags, and output the airbag deployment signals as output voltages to the input ports of the plurality of squib driving units according to the determination result.

A vehicular seat cushion airbag is disclosed. The seat cushion airbag includes a first cushion, which is mounted on a seat cushion of a vehicle so as to be expanded at the rear portion of a passenger's thigh, and a second cushion, which extends from the first cushion in an upward direction of a bolster portion of the seat cushion so as to be expanded toward the lateral side surface of the passenger's thigh, wherein the first cushion is expanded at the rear portion of the passenger's thigh so as to prevent forward movement of the passenger's pelvis, and the second cushion is expanded toward the lateral side surface of the passenger's thigh so as to prevent outward spreading of the passenger's legs.
