Bi-directional airbag cushion wrappers and related airbag assemblies and methods
Airbag cushion wrapper and related airbag assemblies, along with related assembly/manufacturing methods. In some embodiments, the airbag cushion assembly may comprise an airbag cushion and an inflator comprising an inflator wire. A wrapper may extend about the airbag cushion, which wrapper may comprise a first section wrapped about the airbag cushion in a first direction and a second section coupled with the first section, the second section being wrapped about the airbag cushion in a second direction opposite the first direction and such that the first section extends at least partially within the second section.
Airbag with inflator attachment
An apparatus for helping to protect an occupant of a vehicle seat includes an airbag defining an inflatable volume for receiving inflation fluid from an inflator having first and second ends. The airbag has a first sleeve configured to receive the first end of the inflator and a second end configured to receive the second end of the inflator. The first and second sleeves extend from the airbag.
Safety systems
A vehicle includes a body structure that defines a passenger cabin, a seat assembly that is located in the passenger cabin, and a table that includes a table top and an adjustable support assembly. The table top is located adjacent to the seat assembly, the adjustable support assembly includes actuators, and the adjustable support assembly is configured to move the table top with respect to the seat assembly. The vehicle also includes sensors that are configured to generate sensor outputs regarding an environment outside of the vehicle, and a controller that detects a vehicle event based on the sensor outputs. In response to the detection of the vehicle event, the controller outputs a control signal that controls the adjustable support assembly so that the adjustable support assembly moves at least part of the table top away from the seat assembly.
SEAT AIRBAG APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE
The present invention relates to a seat airbag apparatus for a vehicle, in which a raw cushion fabric 210 provided in the form of a single flat panel is coupled by sewing to an inner cushion part 110 provided in the form of a flat panel, and a front cushion 200 is formed by using the raw cushion fabric 210 provided in the form of a flat panel. Therefore, the sewing coupling may be easily and smoothly performed, and particularly the tolerance in respect to the sewing coupling may be reduced, thereby improving quality.
ATTACHMENT STRUCTURE FOR A VEHICLE ROOF LINING
An autonomous vehicle includes a vehicle body, a side curtain airbag mounted by the vehicle body, and a roof lining mounted to the vehicle body via an attachment structure. The attachment structure includes a bracket fastened to the vehicle body and the roof lining includes a mating hole aligned with the bracket. A cap at least partially received within the mating hole from an exterior surface of the roof lining is directly fastened to the bracket. A cover for covering the mating hole from the exterior surface of the roof lining is connected to the cap.
AIRBAG DEVICE
An airbag includes a main inflation portion to be deployed and inflated at an outer side of the upper body of an occupant, and an auxiliary inflation portion disposed at a position adjacent to an inner side of the main inflation portion and to be deployed and inflated at an obliquely front outer side of a head portion. In the airbag whose deployment and inflation are completed, a maximum dimension in a facing direction in which an outer main body portion and an inner main body portion of the auxiliary inflation portion face each other is smaller than a dimension in a direction orthogonal to the facing direction. The auxiliary inflation portion has the outer main body portion as a joining area, and is joined to the main inflation portion in the joining area, in a state of being in communication with the main inflation portion.
Moveable floor supported airbag
A vehicle includes a floor and a seat supported by the floor. The seat is translatable relative to the floor along a longitudinal axis of the vehicle. An airbag housing is supported by the floor and is disposed alongside the seat. The airbag housing is translatable relative to the floor along the longitudinal axis. An airbag is supported by the airbag housing. The airbag is inflatable to an inflated position that extends from the airbag housing away from the floor.
Side airbag
A side airbag that is configured to reduce risk of injury to a passenger by differentiating inner pressures in an airbag cushion at the beginning of a deployment of the airbag cushion. The side airbag includes a diffuser configured to supply gas discharged from an inflator to an inside of an airbag cushion, a separator partitioning an internal space of the airbag cushion up and down so that an upper region of the airbag cushion is more rapidly inflated than a lower region of the airbag cushion by the gas introduced into the airbag cushion through the diffuser, and a passage formed between the upper region and the lower region such that the gas flows between the upper region and the lower region.
SIDE AIRBAG DEVICE
A side airbag deviceis provided with a frame side plate partan airbag cushion embedded in a side support of a seat in a stowed state, and an inflator inserted into the airbag cushion The airbag cushion in stowed state includes a cushion rear part assembled to a frame side plate part a cushion extension part that extends along a seat pad of the side support a cushion folding part folded rearward from the cushion extension part and a cushion front part of the cushion folding part arranged rolled or folded toward the outside of the seatback. The cushion extension part expands toward the center of the seatback 444 and presses on the occupant.
AIRBAG DEVICE
An airbag device provided with an airbag and inflator integrally covering the head and side sections of an occupant seated in a vehicle seat. The airbag, includes, during expansion and deployment, a head protecting chamber that covers the head of the occupant and side protecting chambers that cover the side sections of the occupant, and is stowed in a rolled state, for example, from a first side of the backrest of the vehicle seat to the second side over the upper portion. An additional folding part is provided on the outer periphery of the airbag extending from the attachment end side to the backrest so as to cover at least a part of the outer periphery of the airbag on the side opposite to the seated occupant.
