A device for protecting a person standing in a motor vehicle comprises numerous airbags installed in a motor vehicle, a scanner for determining where there is empty space adjacent to the person, and a control unit that is configured to only deploy those airbags that inflate into the empty space that has been determined.

ROOF AIR BAG APPARATUS FOR VEHICLE

A roof air bag apparatus for a vehicle includes a roof air bag cushion protecting a passenger, and the roof air bag cushion can be separated into a front air bag cushion and a rear air bag cushion. In particular, the front air bag cushion and the rear air bag cushion are unfolded into a space between a front passenger and a rear passenger in a face-to-face mode at the time of occurrence of a car accident, such that the unfolded front air bag cushion protects the front passenger by absorbing an impact force, and the unfolded rear air bag cushion protects the rear passenger by absorbing an impact force.

Vehicle airbag

A vehicle includes a bulkhead. The vehicle includes an airbag supported by the bulkhead and inflatable to an inflated position. The airbag in the inflated position includes a main chamber and a pair of side chambers that extend transversely from the main chamber. The vehicle includes a seat having a seatback and a seat bottom that extends from the seatback in a direction away from the bulkhead. The seatback is between the side chambers in the inflated position.

A rear-seat airbag is configured to expand and deploy from a lower portion of a center console of a vehicle toward a center portion of a row of rear seats. The rear-seat airbag includes a first airbag and a second airbag. The first airbag is configured to restrain an upper body of a passenger sitting in the center portion of the row of rear seats. The second airbag is configured to restrain a lower body of the passenger sitting in the center portion of the row of rear seats. The first airbag is coupled to the second airbag such that, when the rear-seat airbag expands and deploys, the first airbag covers a half or more of the second airbag.

A vehicular seat includes a first conduit that guides gas from a first gas generator to a first airbag, the first conduit includes a first flexible tube portion having flexibility and disposed along a first side end inside at least one of a seat surface or a seat back, and the first flexible tube portion expands to deform the seat body when the gas supplied to the first airbag from the first gas generator passes through the first flexible tube portion.

SIDE AIRBAG DEVICE

The present invention is a side airbag device that is housed in the side support part of a vehicle seat and includes an airbag for restraining an occupant and an inflator. The airbag includes a first bag housing the inflator which is capable of inflating and deploying, and a second bag capable of inflating and deploying on the side of the first bag. The second bag is configured to be deployed by inflation gas flowing in from the first bag. At the upper edge of the second bag, an inclined part is formed that is inclined to be lower at the front thereof than at the rear thereof when viewed from the vehicle width direction. The front portion of the inclined part is configured so as to be located lower than the center line extending in the longitudinal direction of the upper arm of the occupant seated in a vehicle seat.

VEHICULAR AIRBAG DEVICE

The present disclosure relates to an airbag apparatus for a vehicle, which includes: an airbag cushion which is inflated and deployed in a forward direction from both sides of a passenger upon vehicle collision to protect both sides of the passenger; and an inflater configured to generate gas by an impact detection signal and to supply the gas to the airbag cushion, wherein the airbag cushion includes a first airbag configured to protect both sides or one side from passenger's shoulder to passenger's lower body part; and a second airbag configured to protect passenger's head and both sides of passenger's shoulder, and can restrict and protect passenger's upper body and lower body by inflating and deploying the first and second airbags toward both sides of the passenger upon vehicle collision.

Vehicular airbag device

The present invention relates to a vehicular airbag device provided with a configuration comprising: an airbag cushion which is formed in a shawl shape so as to surround and restrict the entire upper body around both shoulders of an occupant as well as the abdominal and pelvic regions in the event of a vehicle collision, and deployed toward both side surfaces of the occupant; and a limiting means which is installed in first and second cushions of the airbag cushion deployed at both sides of the occupant, and provides a supporting force and limits the deployment shape of the first and second cushions at the time of deployment of the first and second cushions. According to the present invention, both side surfaces and the front surface of the occupant are efficiently restricted by improving the lateral strength of the airbag cushion to safely protect the occupant in the event of a vehicle collision.

FLOOR MOUNTED AIRBAG

A vehicle includes a floor and an occupant seating area above the floor. An airbag is fixed to the floor and is inflatable upwardly from the floor to an inflated position. At least a portion of the airbag in the inflated position extends endlessly around the occupant seating area.

Vehicle occupant protection device

A vehicle occupant protection device includes: an airbag main body that includes a front-rear chamber that is deployed to a seat front side along a side of a head of an occupant by a gas ejected from an inflator operated when a collision of a vehicle is detected or predicted, and a tip end chamber that is deployed inward in a seat width direction from an end portion of the front-rear chamber on the seat front side; and a headrest that includes a main body portion that supports the head of the occupant from a seat rear side, and a side portion that is provided on at least a side of the main body portion, that protrudes to the seat front side until a deployment of the front-rear chamber is completed, and that is interposed between the front-rear chamber and the head of the occupant.
