WIPER APPARATUS
A wiper apparatus which removes foreign matters from a windshield by rotating by a pivot of a vehicle may include an arm piece connected to one end of an arm retainer to connect a wiper blade, and a coupling portion having a step portion formed to extend along a longitudinal direction so that an upper surface of the arm piece and an upper surface of the arm retainer form a same surface when coupled to correspond to a coupling hole formed in the arm retainer.
Window wiper system for providing enhanced performance in winter weather conditions
A window wiper system is provided for enhanced performance in winter weather conditions. The wiper system includes a wiper assembly having a wiper base, a wiper arm pivotally connected to the wiper base and wiper blade carried on the wiper arm. An actuator carried on the wiper assembly selectively displaces the wiper arm between an operating position wherein the wiper blade engages and sweeps the vehicle window and a raised position wherein the wiper blade is lifted from the vehicle window. When the wiper blade is displaced from the raised position to the operating position it impacts the window with sufficient force to remove any accumulated ice from the wiper assembly without damaging the assembly or the window.
Method for detecting the position of a wiper arm for a vehicle window wiping system
Method for detecting the position of a wiper arm (5) for a system (1) for wiping a vehicle window (3), comprising the steps consisting in: a) measuring or estimating (35) at least one parameter for determining the maintenance or service position, b) comparing (37) the measured or estimated value of said parameter with a reference value or a range of reference values, and c) determining, from the results of the comparison, whether the wiper arm is in maintenance or service position.
Wiper blade-lifting system
The wiper blade-lifting system comprises a wiper arm with a motorized mechanism to cause the wiper blade to bend at a hinge point responsive to the presence of electrical power. The wiper blade-lifting system is useful to lift a wiper blade off the surface of a windshield when ice or freezing rain is anticipated, so that the wiper blade does not become frozen in place against the surface of the windshield. A second activation of the wiper blade-lifting system using electrical power of the opposite polarity causes the wiper blade to straighten and place the wiper blade back in contact with the windshield. The application of electrical power to the wiper blade-lifting system may be under control of an interior lift control or, in some embodiments, a blade lift remote control.
Vehicle wiper
A vehicle wiper comprises a retainer that is formed in an elongated shape open at the lower side facing toward a windshield, and that is provided so as to be capable of swinging about a shaft axis of a pivot shaft that is swung to-and-fro; a first nozzle member that is housed inside the retainer, and that is capable of ejecting washer fluid from an ejection portion; and 1 a retainer cover member that closes off an opening of the retainer, and that is formed with a window through which the ejection portion of the first nozzle member is externally exposed.
WIPER DEVICE
An arm head includes a head-side engagement part with which a tension spring is engaged. An arm shank includes: a pair of sidewall parts disposed opposed to each other in a wiping direction; a top wall part provided on a side opposite to the wiping surface side of the pair of sidewall parts and connecting the sidewall parts to each other; a shank-side engagement part provided between the sidewall parts and with which the tension spring is engaged; and a spring accommodating recess provided at the top wall part and capable of accommodating a part of the tension spring. When the arm shank is raised, a part of the tension spring is accommodated in the spring accommodating recess, and when the arm shank is raised and viewed from a direction in which the sidewall parts are opposed to each other, the tension spring is hidden by the sidewall parts.
WIPER DEVICE
A wiper device includes: lock grooves provided at an arm head and recessed toward both sides in a wiping direction of a wiper blade; and lock claws provided at an arm shank and protruding toward both sides in the wiping direction of the wiper blade. By concave-convex mating of the lock grooves and the lock claws with each other, the arm shank is restricted from rotating by degrees (about 22 degrees) or more with respect to the arm head, and a state in which the arm shank stands up by degrees (about 20 degrees), which is smaller than degrees, with respect to the arm head is maintained.
WINDSHIELD WIPER LIFTING SYSTEM
A windshield wiper lifting system is provided. The system is used for controlling the position of a vehicle windshield wiper by lifting the wiper above a windshield using a motorized cable mechanism. The system comprises at least one motor that rotates a spool, which winds or unwinds a corrosion-resistant cable attached to the wiper. The cable includes a fastener on one end for removable attachment to the wiper, and the other end is connected to the spool. The motor, powered by the vehicle's electrical system, adjusts the cable tension to lift or lower the wiper as needed. A control button within the vehicle activates the motor, allowing the user to manipulate the wiper from inside the vehicle.
