Wiper adapter and wiper assembly incorporating the same

An adapter (124) for attaching to an attachment member (138) of a wiper arm (114) extending to an terminal end (140) with an upper wall (142) and a pair of side walls (144) depending from the upper wall. The side walls each have an inward protrusion (146) and a U-shaped cutout (148) formed at the end defining upper (150) and lower cutout (152) edges. The upper wall has an aperture (156). The adapter has a body (158) with first (160) and second (162) ends. A stop (164) formed at the first end abuts the attachment member end. A slot (166) formed at the second end receives one of the protrusions. A resilient finger (168) attached to the body has a tooth (170) engaging the aperture to prevent longitudinal movement between the attachment member and adapter. A brace (172) formed at the first end is received in one of the cutouts when the tooth engages the aperture. The brace at least partially abuts the lower cutout edge and remains spaced from the upper cutout edge.

Flat-blade windscreen wiper blade comprising an aerodynamic deflector

A windscreen wiper blade including: a monolithic support frame that includes an inner housing formed within a body of the support frame; a wiping strip with a wiping edge able to engage with a surface of a window and a top heel that engages with the support frame; a pair of ribs that: extend from a bottom face of the support frame, and latch onto the top heel of the wiping strip; a central spine disposed within the inner housing; and an aerodynamic deflector that extends from a top face of the support frame.

Wiper blade comprising a heating electrical circuit and a PTC fuse

The invention proposes a wiper blade (10) of a motor vehicle, comprising a heating electrical circuit (30) comprising at least one heating resistive element, which is connected to terminals (36) for supplying electric current, and a component for regulating the electric power supply current, which is a resettable fuse with a positive temperature coefficient (50), known as a PTC fuse. The PTC fuse (50) is, for example, a surface-mounted component, known as a CMS component, which is electrically connected to two belonging electrical connecting areas (44, 46).

The invention relates to a wiper blade packaging device having at least one secondary packaging (10a; 10b), which is provided to receive at least one wiper blade (12a; 12b), and having at least one mounting element (16a; 16b), which is arranged in the secondary packaging (10a; 10b) in at least one packaged state and which is provided to mount the wiper blade (12a; 12b) at least in part. According to the invention, in the packaged state, the mounting element (16a; 16b) is provided in order to be penetrated by the wiper blade (12a; 12b).

EXTENDABLE WINDSHIELD WIPER SYSTEM
20200254976 · 2020-08-13 ·

An extendable windshield wiper system includes a wiper blade assembly having: a resilient material wiper blade; and a wiper extension rod connected to the wiper blade. A wiper sleeve is configured to move about an arc of rotation with respect to an axis of rotation of the wiper sleeve. A bore of the wiper sleeve has the wiper extension rod slidably disposed within the bore. An actuation portion directs a pressurized fluid to outwardly extend the wiper extension rod from the wiper sleeve and thereby to outwardly extend the wiper blade in an extension direction during a first portion of the arc of rotation. The wiper blade is induced to traverse an extended arc of travel during rotation of the wiper extension rod and the wiper sleeve along the arc of rotation.

Replaceable blade wiper system

A replaceable blade wiper system for easy, economical, and eco-friendly windshield wiper blade replacement includes a wiper housing comprising a pair of rails and a pair of holding units. The pair of holding units secures the pair of rails parallel to one another and forms a channel between the pair of rails that extends from a left side to a right side of each of the pair of rails. A wiper blade is removably coupled to the wiper housing. The wiper blade slides within the channel. The wiper blade extends from proximal the left side to proximal the right side of the pair of rails.

Streamlined flat windscreen wiper

Streamlined flat windscreen wiper (1), in particular of a vehicle, characterized in that it comprises: a longitudinal wiper blade (8), at least one longitudinal stiffening spine (6), a longitudinal member (7) for holding said wiper blade and said stiffening spine, a longitudinal fairing (2, 3) comprising two end caps (3) and a central mount (2) extending between the end caps and being linked thereto, the mount comprising means for fixing to said stiffening spine or to said member for holding this spine.
