A wiper arm includes an arm main body having a blade joining portion at a distal end side in a length direction of the arm main body; a first nozzle portion disposed at a proximal end side from the blade joining portion in the length direction of the arm main body; a second nozzle portion disposed at a distal end side from the first nozzle portion in the length direction of the arm main body; a first line hose; and a second line hose, wherein the second nozzle portion jets washing fluid toward a wiping direction forward side when the arm main body moves toward an upper turning position, and the first washer nozzle portion jets washing fluid toward a wiping direction forward side and further toward the proximal end side than a length direction center of the wiper blade when the arm main body moves toward a lower turning position from the upper turning position.

Wiper-washer control device

The wiper-washer control device includes a wiper motor that causes a wiper blade to perform a wiping operation, a washer pump that causes a washer fluid to be sprayed, and a controller that, in cases in which defrosting has been instructed, controls the wiper motor and the washer pump such that a defrosting operation in which the wiping operation and spraying of washer fluid is performed in a predetermined combination.

WIPER SYSTEM CONTROL DEVICE

A wiper system 1 has wiper blades 4a and 4b driven by a wiper motor 7 and washer nozzles 16 for ejecting washer liquid in association with operation of a washer motor 18. The wiper motor 7 and the washer motor 18 are drive-controlled by a controller 9 housed in a motor unit 6. The controller 9 uses a FET module 10 for a three-phase motor provided with seven FETs. In the FET module 10, a battery reverse connection protection part 31 is provided with one FET (34a), a wiper motor drive part 32 is provided with four FETs (34b to 34e), and a washer motor drive part 33 is provided with two FETs (34f and 34g).

When an ECU 41 for wiper motor detects that a SP operation has been carried out in the midst of swinging motion of a wiper blade, the ECU 41 for wiper motor outputs a motor stopping signal to an ECU 42 for washer pump. When the ECU 42 for washer pump receives the motor stopping signal, the ECU 42 for washer pump stops a washer pump 30 even if an injection switch for jetting out washer fluid is on. In this manner, when a wiper blade is stopped from being swung for replacement of the wiper member, the pump for causing washer fluid to jet out is stopped. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the waste of washer fluid, and to further save washer fluid.

Vehicle rear wiper and washer activation

Methods, systems, and vehicles are provided for controlling rear wiper units and rear washer units for a rear windshield of a vehicle. In accordance with one embodiment, the vehicle includes, in addition to the rear windshield, the rear washer unit, and the rear windshield, a control system. The control system includes a detection unit and a processor. The detection unit is coupled to a single input device onboard the vehicle. The detection unit is configured to detect a user's engagement of the single input device. The processor is coupled to the detection unit. The processor is configured to at least facilitate automatically controlling the rear wiper unit and the rear washer unit based on the detecting of the user's engagement of the single input device.

A wiper arm comprising an arm main body; a first nozzle portion disposed at a first predetermined position in a length direction of the arm main body; a second nozzle portion disposed at a second predetermined position in the length direction of the arm main body, and jets washing fluid toward a position that is different from an impact point of the washing fluid jetted from the first nozzle portion; a first line hose accommodated in the arm main body and connected to the first nozzle portion; a second line hose accommodated in the arm main body side-by-side with the first line hose and connected to the second nozzle portion; and a hose retention unit attached to the arm main body and that comprises: a first hose retention portion retaining the first line hose; and a second hose retention portion provided integrally with the first hose retention portion and retaining the second line hose.

VEHICLE WINDSHIELD CLEANING SYSTEM

Apparatus for providing heated cleaning fluid to a vehicle surface includes an inlet port for receiving an amount of fluid, a housing bounding a reservoir in fluid communication with the inlet port, and an outlet port in fluid communication with the reservoir for dispensing an amount of heated fluid. A heater element heats fluid passing from the inlet port to the outlet port through the reservoir. A heat exchanger in thermal contact with the heater element for conveying heat to fluid within the reservoir has a strut that divides fluid entering the housing through the inlet port into two flow paths and elongated fins extending outwardly from the strut at transverse angles that bound fluid flow channels for fluid moving through the reservoir. A control circuit energizes the heater element to heat the heating element and the fluid passing from the inlet port to the outlet port through the reservoir.

A foreign-matter-removing device for a coil device includes a liquid-jetting unit that washes away a foreign matter, which is present in an area through which a magnetic field generated in wireless supply of power using magnetic coupling of a receiving-side pad and a transmitting-side pad passes, by a jet of liquid.

Control for passive wiper system

A system includes a dome, a wiper assembly, a position sensor and a control device. The wiper assembly includes a wiper blade configured to rotate around the dome. The position sensor may be configured to send a signal to a control device when a wiper blade passes the position sensor. The control device may include one or more processors configured to receive the signal from the position sensor and determine a location of the wiper blade relative to the dome based on the received signal.

Washer fluid distribution device and method of distributing washer fluid

A washer fluid distribution device includes a plurality of nozzle units formed consecutively, a transfer conduit configured to pass through the plurality of nozzle units and having one end fluidly connected to an introduction part, the introduction part located at one end of the transfer conduit and configured to allow a washer fluid to be introduced from a washer pump, a plurality of discharge holes configured to correspond to the number of the nozzle units in the transfer conduit and having different angles based on a center of the transfer conduit, and a controller configured to control a rotation angle of the transfer conduit to allow the discharge holes to correspond to the nozzle units in response to a user's request.
