VEHICLE TRAVEL CONTROL SYSTEM
A vehicle travel control system installed on a vehicle includes: a recognition sensor configured to recognize a situation around the vehicle; a sensor cleaning device configured to clean the recognition sensor; and a control device configured to execute vehicle travel control based on result of recognition by the recognition sensor, and to actuate the sensor cleaning device to execute sensor cleaning processing that cleans the recognition sensor. The control device permits execution of the sensor cleaning processing in a situation where decrease in recognition performance has a small influence on the vehicle travel control. For example, when a surrounding vehicle recognized by a first recognition sensor is also recognized by a second recognition sensor, the control device permits execution of the sensor cleaning processing that cleans the first recognition sensor.
Control for passive wiper system
A system includes a dome, a wiper assembly, a position sensor and a control device. The wiper assembly includes a wiper blade configured to rotate around the dome. The position sensor may be configured to send a signal to a control device when a wiper blade passes the position sensor. The control device may include one or more processors configured to receive the signal from the position sensor and determine a location of the wiper blade relative to the dome based on the received signal.
VEHICLE CLEANER SYSTEM
A vehicle cleaner system includes a front LiDAR and a front camera, which are external sensors that acquire information on an outside of a vehicle, a cleaner unit, a front tank that stores the cleaning liquid, and a cleaner control unit that controls the cleaner unit. The cleaner unit includes a front LiDAR cleaner that discharge the cleaning liquid to clean the front LiDAR, and a front camera cleaner that discharges the cleaning liquid to clean the front camera. The cleaner control unit is configured to be capable of outputting a remaining amount insufficiency prediction signal to a vehicle control unit, which controls traveling of the vehicle, when the cleaning liquid in the front tank is equal to or less than a predetermined amount.
Washer fluid distribution device and method of distributing washer fluid
A washer fluid distribution device includes a plurality of nozzle units formed consecutively, a transfer conduit configured to pass through the plurality of nozzle units and having one end fluidly connected to an introduction part, the introduction part located at one end of the transfer conduit and configured to allow a washer fluid to be introduced from a washer pump, a plurality of discharge holes configured to correspond to the number of the nozzle units in the transfer conduit and having different angles based on a center of the transfer conduit, and a controller configured to control a rotation angle of the transfer conduit to allow the discharge holes to correspond to the nozzle units in response to a user's request.
ON-VEHICLE SENSOR CLEANING DEVICE
An on-vehicle sensor cleaning device includes a cleaning actuator that cleans a cleaning object surface an on-vehicle sensor, the cleaning object surface being cleaned by operating the actuator; and a controller that drives the cleaning actuator when fouling degree information of the cleaning object surface reaches a fouling threshold. The controller is configured to change the fouling threshold depending on a vehicle speed information.
DYNAMIC CONTROL OF AIRCRAFT WINDSCREEN WIPER AND WASH SYSTEM CONFIGURATION PARAMETERS
Provided are embodiments for a system having an avionics system that is configured to dynamically communicate one or more configurable parameters of a wiper and wash system based at least in part on a selected mode, and an avionics bus that is configured to communicate dynamic parameters from the avionics system. The system also includes a wash system having a fluid reservoir and fluid level sensor, and a wiper system including a control unit (ECU) that is configured to operate the system based at least in part on the one or more configurable parameters, wherein the wiper system is coupled to the wash system and supplies the wash fluid to the wiper system. Also provided are embodiments of a method for performing dynamic control of the aircraft windscreen wiper and wash system configuration parameters.
Lidar windscreen vibration control
A vehicle computer includes a memory and a processor. The processor is programmed to execute instructions stored in the memory. The instructions include determining a vehicle speed, selecting at least one actuator to vibrate a sensor housing based on the vehicle speed, and commanding the at least one actuator to vibrate the sensor housing in accordance with the vehicle speed to remove debris from the sensor housing.
Driving support apparatus
A driving support apparatus is configured to execute steering support control of changing a steering angle of a vehicle based on vehicle surroundings information. The driving support apparatus includes a cleaning apparatus configured to execute cleaning processing for cleaning a window section when a cleaning request is generated. The driving support apparatus is configured to determine whether or not a predetermined cleaning prohibition condition is satisfied, the predetermined cleaning prohibition condition being satisfied when the vehicle is predicted to be likely to approach an object present near the vehicle on the assumption that the cleaning processing is executed. The driving support apparatus prohibits the cleaning apparatus from executing the cleaning processing when the cleaning prohibition condition is determined to be satisfied in a case where the cleaning request is generated during execution of the steering support control.
