20220017139 · 2022-01-20 · ·

The disclosure relates to a steering apparatus for a vehicle having an impact absorption device for absorbing an impact force introduced via a steering wheel. The steering apparatus has a fastening device for fastening to a vehicle carrier or a vehicle body. The fastening device has a bracket for holding a steering column. The bracket has at least one connecting portion for connecting to the fastening device by a fastening element. At least one target breaking portion is designed to break starting from a predetermined impact force. In order to simplify the construction and/or to be able to realize production more economically, the bracket has and/or forms the target breaking portion, with the connecting portion being separated from the bracket after breaking the target breaking portion and remaining on the fastening device.

ENERGY ABSORPTION DEVICE, STEERING DEVICE WITH AN ENERGY ABSORPTION DEVICE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME

The disclosure relates to an energy absorption device for arrangement between a fastening device and a holder, wherein the holder is movable relative to the fastening device when a predetermined impact force is exceeded. The energy absorption device includes a deformable strand for absorbing energy, and a guide device for guiding the strand during the deformation. In order to be able to implement the assembly and/or the production more cost-effectively, the strand and the guide device are formed in one piece.

Steering column assembly

A steering column assembly includes a lower jacket. The steering column assembly also includes an upper jacket at least partially received within the lower jacket. The steering column assembly further includes a jacket wall integrally formed with the lower jacket, the jacket wall extending longitudinally form a first end to a second end and having a first side and a second side. The steering column assembly yet further includes an energy absorption strap offset from the first side of the jacket wall to form a recess extending along the jacket wall, the energy absorption strap having a first end and a second end, the energy absorption strap having at least one tear line at an interface with the jacket wall.

Steering column for a motor vehicle

A steering column may include an actuating unit with a steering spindle rotatably mounted about its longitudinal axis in a casing tube, a support unit in which the actuating unit can be received, and an energy absorbing device that includes a transmission element that is supportable on the support unit and an energy absorbing element secured to the actuating unit. In a crash event, the transmission element is movable in a direction of the longitudinal axis relative to the plastically-deformable energy absorbing element. The energy absorbing element has an elongated hole parallel to the longitudinal axis and into which an expansion part of the transmission element that is oversized relative to the elongated hole engages. The energy absorbing element may be connected to the actuating unit via a securing element that engages in securing recesses of the energy absorbing element and of the casing tube.

Motor-adjustable steering column for a motor vehicle

A motor-adjustable steering column for a motor vehicle includes an outer casing which is held by a support unit that is attachable to a vehicle body and in which an actuator unit is received so as to be telescopically adjustable in the longitudinal direction. A steering spindle is coaxially mounted in a casing tube in the actuator unit so as to be rotatable about a longitudinal axis. An adjustment drive is disposed between the outer casing and the actuator unit and has a threaded spindle which is at least in part disposed within the actuator unit and is drivable in a rotating manner by an electric servomotor engaged in a spindle nut. In order for a compact adjustment drive which is accommodated in a protected manner to be provided, the threaded spindle is disposed at a spacing from the longitudinal axis.

SYSTEMS, METHODS, AND APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING DYNAMIC AUTO-RESPONSES AT A MEDIATING ASSISTANT APPLICATION

Methods, apparatus, systems, and computer-readable media are provided for providing context specific schema files that allow an automated assistant to broker human-to-computer dialogs between a user and an application that is separate from the automated assistant. The context specific schema file can provide the automated assistant with sufficient data to be responsive to user queries without necessarily communicating with a remote device, such as a server. Multiple different context specific schema files can be made available to the automated assistant according to a context in which a user is interacting with the automated assistant. In this way, latency otherwise exhibited by the automated assistant can be mitigated by providing the automated assistant with the information needed to respond to a user without continually retrieving the information over a network.
