A tamper-evident coupling system includes a first base portion, a second base portion, a first coupling portion supported by and extending from the first base portion, and a second coupling portion supported by the second base portion and configured for cooperating with the first coupling portion. The first and the second coupling portions are configured for defining an arming condition in which the first and second coupling portions are stably engaged with each other. At least one of the first and the second coupling portions includes a removable portion that is separable from the tamper-evident coupling system upon a first disengagement of the first and second coupling portions following the arming condition to prevent a subsequent coupling between the first and second coupling portions and to show a tampering with the tamper-evident coupling system.

A clamshell carton with a slotted lid hinge and method of using same. The clamshell carton may include a container body, which may include, a floor panel and a plurality of side panels extending about a periphery of the floor panel, the plurality of side panels may include a first side panel, a second side panel, and a rear side panel. A packaging apparatus forming a box with an integral product holder from a single biodegradable material. The box comprises a top flap, bottom flap, and side panels extending longitudinally therebetween, all the panels foldably connected such that the box substantially encloses a heavy object. The integral holder is preferably foldably connected to a side panel of the box to be placed within the box, and is sized such that the integral holder cradles the heavy object to prevent movement during shipment. Tabs are foldably connected to the integral holder and are adjacent to side panels to secure the position of the integral holder during transportation and storage.

A package for storing smoking articles includes a body having a plurality of walls defining a volume, including a front wall and a rear wall, and an opening; a lid for closing the opening and having a plurality of walls and being hinged on the rear wall, allowing the lid to be moved between closed and open positions; a locking tab; and an engagement recess for engaging the locking tab when the lid is in the closed position. The locking tab is connected to one of either the front wall of the body or an inner side of a front wall of the lid, and the engagement recess is located on the other one. The locking tab and the engagement recess each have a respective engagement edge for mutual engagement. The engagement edge of at least one of the locking tab and the engagement recess follows a curved line.

A container including a storage configured for housing a product and defining a passage opening, a closing system configurable between a closed condition and opening condition of the storage, and a safety device associated with the closing system and with the storage configured for defining a safety condition wherein the same device prevents the closing system from passing from the closed condition to the open one. The container includes a passage configured for enabling the insertion of at least one opening device adapted to enable the passage of the closing system from the closed condition to the open one. The opening device includes an unpleasant taste material, at least partly defining an external surface of the same opening device, and configured for preventing the ingestion of said opening device.

An improved cigarette package is provided. The cigarette package first includes a container which serves as a housing for two or more compartments, each compartment holding a plurality of cigarettes. The package also includes a lid which is hingedly connected to the container at an upper end. Opening and closing the lid provides selective access and closure to the container. The inner compartments each include a compartment tab that allows for opening and re-sealing of the respective inner compartments. Thus, a dual-compartment cigarette package is provided wherein the compartments may be independently opened and re-sealed. The configuration allows for selective opening of a single compartment while preserving the factory seal on the unopened compartment so that freshness and aromatic oils of the cigarettes within the package are preserved, even after opening of the package and compartments.

A container for holding a product. The container can comprise a tray comprising a sidewall extending at least partially around an interior of the tray. The sidewall can have a support edge. A lid can comprise at least a top panel, and one or more passageways can be formed in at least the sidewall of the tray. The container comprises an open configuration in which the top panel is at least partially spaced from the interior of the tray and a closed configuration in which the top panel is positioned at least partially in the interior of the tray. At least a portion of the one or more passageways in at least the sidewall of the tray extends upwardly from the top panel toward the support edge of the sidewall for allowing air to move over the top panel of the lid when the container is in the closed configuration.

A container for detergent pods includes a container body and a movable cover, wherein the movable cover has a pair of engagement tabs which, in a closed configuration, engage respective windows to form child-proof engagement formations. The container body and the movable cover are entirely made of paper or cardboard and can be recycled as a paper waste without the need of removing any plastic part.

A cap (C) is provided for closing a first end of the tubular structure. The cap is hingedly connected to a first one (12) of the plurality of walls. A top panel of the box comprises an opening and a top panel section joining at least a part of the specific sidewall to at least a part of an opposite sidewall, the opposite sidewall being opposite to the specific sidewall. The specific actuation area defines a specific centroid separated from the top of the lid by less than 5 cm and by more than 0.5 cm, and from a distal end of the specific flank by more than 0.5 cm.
