SLIDER WITH ERGONOMIC FEATURES

A slider for a closure assembly of a bag. The slider has a top wall and a pair of wings extending from the top wall. A first wing of the pair of wings includes a first finger pad and a surrounding lip, and a second wing of the pair of wings includes a second finger pad and a surrounding lip. The first and second finger pads each have a major axis dimension that is larger than a minor axis dimension to provide a slider with an improved ergonomic feel.

RECLOSABLE POUCH WITH AN ELONGATE CLOSURE MECHANISM

A reclosable pouch in combination with an elongate closure mechanism. The elongate closure mechanism includes a first base member disposed along a first sidewall. A pair of interlocking members extends from a first surface of the first base member, and are parallel to each other with a space therebetween. A plurality of partial indentations is disposed along a second surface of the first base member, extending longitudinally between the opposite ends of the elongate closure mechanism, and being visible between the opposite ends of the elongate closure mechanism. The pair of interlocking members extending from the first base member occlude and deocclude with a pair of interlocking members extending from the second base member, in order to resealably close the mouth. The plurality of partial indentations remains visible during the occluding and deoccluding.

Storage bag with colored lips

A storage bag has a first closure profile attached to a first side surface, with the first closure profile forming a lip between an interlocking member and an edge of the first closure profile. The bag also includes a second closure profile attached to the second side surface, with the second closure profile forming a lip between an interlocking member and an edge of the second closure profile. The lips of the first and second closure profiles are visually distinct colors or different shades of a color in order to aid the user in locating the lips.

Plastic bag with sealable slidable zipper

A plastic bag having a zipper-type closure which includes opposing closure members which each has a plurality of projections. The projections of the closure members are configured for interlocking and sealing engagement when the zipper is closed. At least one of the projections on one of the closure members is in one embodiment made of a softer material than at least one of the other projections. In some embodiments, the soft projection(s) are not configured for close tolerance fit with complementary mating projections. In some embodiments, the closure is used in combination with a slider. The closure can include deformations for providing tactile or audible feedback against movement of the slider. The closure can include slider rails at a top edge margin to minimize the size of the slider.

METHOD OF APPLYING A PLURALITY OF PARTIAL INDENTATIONS TO AT LEAST ONE SIDEWALL OF A RECLOSABLE POUCH

A method of applying a plurality of partial indentations to at least one sidewall of a reclosable pouch includes providing a double roller mechanism having a first roller wheel and a second roller wheel including complementary opposing male and female embossing surfaces, and applying a plurality of partial indentations to a first surface or a second surface of the first sidewall. The partial indentations partially extend into the one of a first surface and a second surface of the first sidewall, include a single row of partial indentations that extends longitudinally between opposite ends of a first interlocking member in at least one of an area that is above the first interlocking member extending from the first surface of the first sidewall and below the top edge of the first sidewall, and an area that is below the first interlocking member extending from the first surface of the first sidewall.

An alignment button for easy resealing of zipper bags is provided. One or more alignment buttons facilitate closure of resealable storage bags possessing zipper lock, zip fastener, or press seal closures, such as sandwich bags and plastic food storage bags. Each alignment button has a raised feature and a corresponding socket feature on opposing sides of the bag's seal or closure. When the two parts of each alignment button are pressed together, the socket feature captures an apex part of the raised feature and aligns opposing tracks of a zipper lock or seal for easy closure. One of more of the alignment buttons may be manufactured as an integral feature of the seal or closure, or may be located in a line or pattern, above or below the seal or closure. Likewise, multiple alignment buttons may be placed above and below the seal or closure in a pattern.

Unlike other sealing devices which are internal to a bag and adhered to the bag by heat or glue the current invention is external to the bag, is not adhered to the bag by heat or glue, is free to be moved up or down the bag to remove excess air, is reusable, and can be used on one type of a bag in one instant, removed, and be used on another type of bag. Furthermore, on current sealing devices if anything comes in-between the male and female seals which go directly into each other it renders the seal ineffective, but the current invention is not disturbed at all, and in fact the bag type container becomes part of the seal.
