The closure cap for a container comprises an internal skirt (16) comprising a bore (16b) provided with at least one helical screw thread (19) for screwing said cap onto the container, an external skirt (18) radially surrounding said internal skirt at least partially, and a front wall (14) from which said internal and external skirts extend. The cap is produced by moulding at least one synthetic material. At least one recess (30) is formed on an outer surface (16a) of the internal skirt, remaining axially away from a front end face (16c) of said skirt.

CONTAINER LID HAVING OXYGEN SHIELDING PROPERTIES

An oxygen-shielding container lid according to the present invention comprises a high density polyethylene cap shell 1 having a skirt section 7 and a top plate section 5 provided with an inner ring 9 for intimate contact with an inner surface of a container mouth; and an in-shell molded body 3 provided in a portion of an inner surface of the top plate section which is surrounded with the inner ring 9. The in-shell molded body 3 is composed of a primary molded body 3a which has been formed by in-shell molding on the inner surface of the top plate section and which has an oxygen shielding function; and a secondary molded body 3b which has been formed on the primary molded body 3a by in-shell molding so as to cover the primary molded body 3a and to be fused and fixed to the inner surface of the top plate section at the peripheral edge of the primary molded body. A resin composition used for formation of the secondary molded body 3b contains linear low density polyethylene, and has a melt flow rate at 190 C. of 1 to 10 g/10 minutes, a density of 0.900 to 0.920 g/cm.sup.3, and a nominal tensile strain at break, as defined by JIS K-6922-2, of 400% or more.

VENTILATED LID FOR INSULATED CONTAINER

A lid for an insulated container comprises a flexible gasket configured to facilitate a seal between the lid and an inner wall of the insulated container, and further configured to expand into an interior compartment of the insulated container responsive to a vacuum developing in the interior compartment. A diaphragm chamber is situated opposite the flexible gasket from the interior compartment when the lid is fully engaged with the insulated container. One or more air channels couple the diaphragm chamber to an exterior of the lid. The development of a vacuum in the interior compartment of the insulated container draws a force on the flexible gasket, thereby reducing pressure in the diaphragm chamber. The negative pressure in diaphragm chamber is back-filled with external air, which enters the lid via the air channels. The lid may then be removed without excessive vacuum forces.

A closure includes first and second closure portions. The first closure portion includes a polymeric top wall portion and an annular skirt portion. The skirt portion includes exterior and interior surfaces. The interior surface includes an internal thread formation for mating engagement with an external thread formation of a container and at least one rotation-inhibiting projection. The rotation-inhibiting projection is located to contact the external thread formation. The rotation-inhibiting projection is in the general shape of the letter C prior to engagement with the external thread formation of the container. The second closure portion includes a polymeric tamper-evident band.

LIQUID STORAGE BOTTLE

A liquid storage bottle includes a bottle main body, a nozzle having a discharge port through which a liquid stored in the bottle main body is discharged, a cap mountable on the nozzle and a sealing unit sealing the discharge port when the cap is mounted on the nozzle. The sealing unit includes an annular first rib, an annular second rib and an annular third rib. The outer peripheral surface of the first rib is inclined with respect to the axial direction of the nozzle so that a diameter decreases toward a tip portion of the first rib and the inner peripheral surface of the third rib is inclined with respect to the axial direction of the cap so that a diameter increases toward a tip portion of the third rib.

A canister includes a closure configured to mount on a container to close an open mouth into a product storage region formed in the container. The closure includes a lid and a lid retainer coupled to the lid. The lid retainer is configured to mate with an external thread on the container to retain the closure in a mounted position on the container.

Synthetic resin cap for carbonated beverage-filled container, closure device, and beverage-containing closure device

A synthetic resin cap mounted on a lip section of a container filled with a carbonated beverage includes a top plate section and a cylindrical section extending downward from a circumferential edge of the top plate section. An annular inner seal projection fitted into the lip section and an outer seal projection abutting an outer surface of the lip section are formed at an inner surface of the top plate section. An annular abutting convex section abutting the inner surface of the lip section is formed at an outer surface of the inner seal projection. The outer seal projection has an inner surface having an inner diameter reduced toward a distal end, and a minimum inner diameter section, which is a lower end of the inner surface, abuts the outer surface of the lip section at a position spaced apart from an opening end section toward a container main body.

CLOSURE SYSTEM FOR CONTAINERS USED IN WATER CASCADE STERILIZATION

A closure system for a screw top container intended to contain a pharmaceutical or surgical medium comprises: a screw cap including a main body comprised of an annular wall with an internal thread for cooperating with an external thread adjacent an open end of the container, the body having a first open end for receiving the open end of the container and a second end closed by an end disc; a sealing formation within the main body for forming a seal with the open end of the container; and a tamper-evident band connected to the screw cap at the open end of the main body by at least one severable linkage, wherein the screw cap, sealing formation and tamper-evident band are integrally formed as a single unit for maintaining a hermetic seal with the container throughout a terminal sterilisation process.
