TWIST OFF CABLE TIE FASTENER

An improved twist off cable tie fastener having an elongate flexible strap defining a plurality of parallel adjacent transverse teeth. First end portion of elongate strap is tapered to a rounded tip for insertion through a channel defined in a dimensionally larger head portion carried at opposing end of the elongate strap. At least one angulated tooth carried by a flexing arm within the channel irremovably engages with the transverse teeth defined in the elongate strap. The head portion has two opposing and spaced apart wings to facilitate grasping and rotation by a user about a minor transverse axis of the elongate strap. Partial rotation of the wings concentrates strap fracturing forces at a position immedately adjacent to the head portion causing destruction of the cable tie fastener and allowing removal thereof without tools.

CABLE TIE

A cable tie having a desired length of flexible belt and a buckle connected to one longitudinal end of the belt may include rack teeth that are formed in one surface of the belt and are arranged in a longitudinal direction of the belt, an engagement strip that is positioned in a through hole of the buckle and is configured to be deformed about its proximal end connected to an inner wall of the buckle, and an engagement claw that is formed in the engagement strip. The engagement strip is configured to be deformed due to contact with the belt inserted into the through hole of the buckle, so that a crossing angle is formed between the engagement surface of the engagement claw and the tooth surface of one of the rack teeth in a fastened condition in which the belt is inserted into the through hole of the buckle and is tightened.

This document describes techniques and apparatuses, which include improved bi-directional buttonhead ties, techniques for manufacturing bi-directional buttonhead ties, and techniques for using bi-directional buttonhead ties. In aspects, a bi-directional buttonhead tie is configured for securing an elongated member to a support structure and includes a tie strap and a locking head. The tie strap includes a first side and a second side. The locking head includes an outer side opposite a panel side, the tie strap extending from the panel side of the locking head, the locking head further including a first slot extending through the locking head from the outer side to the panel side, the first slot configured to receive a portion of the tie strap therethrough, and a second slot extending through the locking head from the outer side to the panel side, the second slot configured to receive a portion of the tie strap therethrough.

Cable tie

A cable tie may include a desired length of belt, and a buckle connected to a proximal end portion of the belt. The buckle has a belt insertion hole and a slot continuous with the belt insertion hole. The belt insertion hole is configured such that the belt is longitudinally introduced thereinto. The slot is configured such that the belt is laterally introduced into the belt insertion hole therethrough. The slot includes an inlet opening that is gradually widened outward.
