Easy-to-remove cable tie
A cable tie comprising a locking head, a strap, and a truss projecting from the plane of the strap separated from the head by a slot. The strap may be passed over the truss, fed through the slot, and rested upon the truss to form a loop having a cavity therein. The strap may be subsequently passed around an object and fed into the head to lock the cable tie. A cutting implement may be inserted into the cavity to cut the loop and thereby release the cable tie from the object.
ELASTOMER LINED SELF-LOCKING TIE
An apparatus, system, and method are disclosed for an elastomer lined self-locking tie which includes an elongated strap, at least one cavity disposed in the elongated strap, an elastomer segment, and a locking head. The elongated strap includes a head end positioned opposite a tapered end. The tapered end includes a first surface positioned opposite a second surface. The cavity is positioned in either the first surface or the second surface. The elastomer segment is positioned within the cavity and extends beyond either the first surface or the second surface. The locking head extends from the head end of the elongated strap and includes an orifice shaped to receive the tapered end of the elongated strap and the elastomer segment.
CABLE TIE HAVING A WEDGE LOCKING MECHANISM
A cable tie is provided with a wedge disposed within a passage extending through a head. The wedge is compressed within the passage when tension is applied to the strap. As a result, the wedge compresses the strap against an inner surface of the passage to restrain the strap.
HIGH PERFORMANCE, DUAL MATERIALS CABLE-TIE HEAD
A dual material cable tie includes a tail on a first end, a head on a second end, and an elongated strap extending therebetween. The strap and tail are substantially flat and formed from a first material. The tail can have teeth/ridges on one or both of the surfaces that extend outwardly from the surface(s). The head has a first portion, a second portion and a passage extending from a first end to a second end that receives the tail. A pawl is located in the passage and the second portion includes an exterior surface. The first portion of the head is made from a first material and the second portion is made from a second material that can be stiffer than the first material and the hardness of the second material can be the same or greater than the first material.
REDUCED SLIP TIE STRAP
Embodiments of the present technology relate to tie apparatus, such as those commonly referred to as zip ties or cable ties. Advantageously, the disclosed technology increases the friction between a tie and the cables or other objects clinched by the tie. This is done by, for example, providing a gripping material on the inside of the strap. The disclosed technology also includes a head for a tie apparatus that can receive and engage a strap with a grip. Embodiments of the present technology also provide configurations for the grip on the strap.
Cable Tie
A cable tie comprises a belt, a head connected to the belt and having a passageway for receiving the belt, and a lock disposed in the head. The lock is displaceable parallel to a plane of the passageway along a stroke and has a protrusion configured to lock the belt.
High strength cable tie arrangement
A cable tie of unitary structure includes a flexible, elongated band having a linear array of first inclined teeth on a first surface thereof and a retaining housing and a tapered portion on opposed ends of the band. The housing includes an elongated slot aligned with the band for receiving the band's tapered end portion in sliding engagement to form a closed loop for receiving and retaining plural aligned elongated elements such as cables. Upper and lower surfaces of the housing include respective plural spaced slots defined by respective upper and lower spaced crossed members aligned transverse to the length of the band when inserted in the slot. Inner distal ends of each of the lower cross members are each provided with respective plural sets of second inclined teeth each adapted to engage a respective one of the first teeth on the band to securely maintain the cables in fixed position.
HIGH STRENGTH CABLE TIE
A reinforced cable tie generally includes an elongate strap, a head attached to a first end of the strap and a continuous fiber reinforcement disposed in and extending substantially continuously along a path defining at least one of the strap and the head. The head has one or more apertures formed therein and a locking device disposed in the aperture of the head. The locking device is configured to permit a second end of the strap opposite the head to be inserted through the head aperture in a first direction and is further configured to prevent movement of the second end of the strap from the head aperture in a second direction opposite the first direction.
Apparatus, system, and method for an elastomer lined self locking tie
An elastomer lined self-locking tie includes an elongated strap, at least one cavity or recess in the the elongated strap, an elastomer segment, and a locking head.
