Blister packaging, cover film and production method
A blister package comprises a plastic foil molding furnished with cavities and an opaque cover foil having at least one transparent region arranged outside of the cavities. The plastic foil molding defines the front side of the blister package and the opaque cover foil defines the back side of the blister package, and the blister package additionally has in a certain region, which is formed outside of the region of the cavities of the plastic foil molding and is arranged overlapping at least the transparent region of the opaque cover foil, a semi-transparent function layer. The semi-transparent function layer is constituted such that the blister package has in the transparent region of the opaque cover foil upon viewing in incident light a first, visually recognizable color and upon viewing in transmitted light has a second, visually recognizable color.
PACKAGING AND METHOD FOR SINGLE SERVE BEVERAGE PRODUCT
A packaging method and packaging material are disclosed. In accordance with one aspect, a method for forming, filling, sealing and flash freezing a liquid extract or concentrate in a continuous ribbon format is described. The packaging material uses a continuous ribbon of a cold-formed foil base with multiple pockets arrayed in a pattern and a heat-sealed foil cover. Following sealing, the continuously formed strip of product is passed through a freezing medium, optionally perforated alongside the pockets to facilitate separation of individual pockets from a sheet, and then cut to size for convenient and space efficient final packaging, storage and transportation.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR MULTI-STAGE SEALING OF CONTACT LENS PACKAGING
A contact lens package includes a first package layer, a second package layer, a lens receiving area defined between the first and second package layers, and first and second seal portions. The first seal portion extends around a first portion of the lens receiving area. The second seal portion extends around a second portion of the lens receiving area. The second seal portion has different sealing properties than the first seal portion. The first seal portion may include a releasable seal between the first and second package layers, and the second seal portion may include a permanent seal between the first and second package layers.
PACKAGING AND PACKAGING FILM HAVING DIFFERENTIAL BARRIER PROPERTIES
A transparent film includes a first portion configured to form at least a portion of a first compartment of a multi-component package. The film also includes & second portion, con figured to form at least a portion of a second compartment of the multi-component package. The film further includes a barrier coating disposed on the first portion to reduce permeation of a migratory species through the first portion relative to the second portion.
Rigid holding container with breachable perimeter bubble
A rigid holding container has a flexible cover sheet extending over the holding area for sealing the contents. The container has a wide, flat perimeter lip which provides a firm base for the seal between the cover sheet and the container. A breaching bubble is formed in the seal, under the cover and over the perimeter lip. The consumer breaches the bubble by pressing the bubble against the lip between the thumb and forefinger. The pressure compresses the air in the bubble causing the bubble to expand laterally. The expanding bubble breaches along the perimeter of the lip, producing a peel flap of flexible cover material. The consumer pulls the peel flap while holding the rigid container down, to remove the cover sheet.
Individual-patient one-day oral care kit
An individual-patient one-day oral care kit comprises a housing and a plurality of sealed trays disposed within the housing. Each of the sealed trays contains oral hygiene components. By one approach at least one of the sealed trays contains an oral hygiene component comprising a toothbrush that is unique to that particular tray. By one approach all of the sealed trays contain at least one same oral hygiene component. By one approach each of the sealed trays is configured to serve a patient's oral hygiene compliance requirements in accordance with an event driven schedule during a single day.
Selectively opening multiple compartment packages and methods for making selectively opening multiple compartment packages
Concepts and technologies disclosed herein for selectively opening multiple compartment packages and methods for making selectively opening multiple compartment packages. The selectively opening multiple compartment package can include a front layer having two sides; a second layer having two sides; a third layer having two sides; and a rear layer having two sides. Compartments of the selectively opening multiple compartment package can be formed and bound by a second side of the front layer and the first side of the second layer; a second side of the second layer and a first side of the third layer; and a second side of the third layer and a first side of the rear layer. The compartments are configured to be selectively opened.
POUCH FORMING MOLD CONFIGURATION, AND METHOD
A mold configuration for forming a pocket in a film comprising: a film support surface; a perimeter edge at said film support surface; wall surfaces inward of the perimeter edge defining a mold cavity; the wall surfaces including transition wall surfaces extending to a bottom wall surface; and a plateau surface inward of the perimeter edge. In one form, the perimeter edge includes sharp corner profile perimeter edge portions defining at least one sharp corner profile. A method of forming a pouch, includes using the disclosed mold configuration.
MULTI-PACK CONTAINER AND MACHINE FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
The invention relates to a multi-pack container which defines a series of containers (11) formed in a plastic sheet (L) that comprises at least a layer of PET (polyethylene terephthalate), and in which said containers (11) are joined by bridges (12), provided with a pre-cut upper line (13) and a pre-cut lower line (14) for breaking the bridge (12). The pre-cut upper line (13) and a pre-cut lower line (14) are arranged parallel to one another, laterally separated in a horizontal direction and vertically separated to prevent heating by compression and a variation of the properties of the PET layer, allowing for clean breakage of the bridge by rotating the containers with respect to said pre-cut upper and lower lines. The invention also comprises a machine for manufacturing the multi-pack container.
COATING MATERIAL, PRINTING MEMBER FOR DOT PRINTING, AND PTP PACKAGING BODY
The present invention provides a coating material that can improve gravure printing characteristics of the printing surface of a printing substrate to favorably transfer an ink fed in the cell of a gravure printing roll to the printing surface of the printing substrate, thereby achieving the beautiful gravure printing. The coating material of the present invention is a coating material for forming a surface layer, serving as a printing surface, on a printing substrate on which gravure printing is to be performed, and the coating material is characterized by including a vinyl chloride-vinyl acetate-unsaturated fatty acid copolymer that includes 80 to 90% by mass of a component of vinyl chloride, 9.2 to 19.5% by mass of a component of vinyl acetate, and 0.1 to 0.8% by mass of a component of an unsaturated fatty acid.
