STIRRER COMPRISING A SEALED PACKAGE WHICH HOLDS THEREIN A LIQUID
There is provided a pack (10) in the form of a stirrer for a hot or cold beverage. The stirrer comprises first and second films (13, 14) sealingly connected around a periphery to enclose a volume in which is disposed a liquid. The liquid is conveniently disposed in an elongate channel (15) formed in one of the films. Openable portions (17, 55) are provided at respective ends of the stirrer, one openable portion (17) allowing the liquid to flow out once opened and the other openable portion (55) acting as a vent. Each openable portion is opened by peeling apart the two films and has a stronger connection (52, 57) provided to limit the opening of the ends.
A SHEET LAMINATE, A BLISTER PACKAGE AND A METHOD OF MANUFACTURE
A sheet laminate for being used as a puncturable top web for a blister package, comprising: an aluminium base sheet layer; at least one tie layer comprising polyolefin; a welding layer comprising polyester or polypropylene; wherein the welding layer and the tie layer are coextrusion coated on the base sheet layer so that the at least one tie layer is disposed between the base sheet layer and the welding layer, whereby the welding layer is attached to the base sheet layer by the at least one tie layer. A blister package, wherein the sheet laminate is attached to a bottom web with product cavities. A method of manufacture of the sheet laminate and of the blister package, wherein the coextrusion coating step of the manufacture of the blister package is carried out simulataneously with extrusion lamination of a paper layer.
PACKAGING ASSEMBLY AND CONTAINER FOR SAME, METHOD OF MAKING A PACKAGING ASSEMBLY, AND ASSOCIATED METHOD OF ACTIVATING AN ACTIVE AGENT
A container for a packaging assembly can include a body having a base and a sidewall extending therefrom. The body can define an interior including a product space configured for housing at least one product, and can have an opening leading to the interior. The container can include an active agent located within a compartment that is provided within the interior. The compartment can be sealed by a sealing layer to encapsulate the active agent within the compartment so as to prevent fluid communication between the active agent and the product space.
SEALED PACKAGE CONTAINING A SQUEEZABLE PRODUCT
There is provided a pack (10) for a product (12) which is sealingly retained in a volume defined by first and second films (13, 14) sealingly secured about a periphery. The pack has an openable portion through which a liquid contained in the product (12) can be dispensed. One of the films (14) has a pre-formed hinge (20) across at least part of the volume to assist folding of, and liquid extraction from, the product (12). The pre-formed hinge (20) may be in the form of a pre-formed fold line.
Orally disintegrating tablets
The present invention relates to rapidly disintegrating oral dosage forms, more particularly to rapidly disintegrating tablets containing (1S,2S,3R,5S)-3-[7-{[1R,2S)-2-(3,4-difluorophenyl)cyclopropyl]amino}-5-(propylthio)-3H-[1,2,3]-triazolo[4,5-d]pyrimidin-3-yl]-5 5-(2-hydroxyethoxy)cyclopentane-1,2-diol and a disintegrating excipient. Blister packs suitable for use with the rapidly disintegrating oral dosage form are also disclosed.
BLISTER PACKAGE FOR PHARMACEUTICAL CARTRIDGES
A blister packaging for a pharmaceutical cartridge or capsule and methods of forming same are disclosed.
PRODUCT PACKAGING
A unit-dose packaging for a product comprising a chain of blister packs, the chain of blister packs being arranged in an alternating manner and having foldable regions between each blister pack in the chain of blister packs, characterised in that after use of the product, a chain of emptied blister packs forms a concertina fold, wherein all the blisters are of the same shape in the chain of blister packs such that the repeating units of the chain of blister packs are linked in such a way that their cavities fit into each other when stacking in an alternating way.
Connected packaging
Methods and systems for determining when a tablet has been removed from a blister pack are presented. A method includes measuring an electrical characteristic, such as electrical resistance or impedance, between at least two terminals that are in electrical communication with a lidding film included in the blister pack, wherein the removal of a tablet from the blister pack results in an opening in the lidding film, thereby giving rise to a finite change in the electrical characteristic. Another method determines the state of the blister pack using electrical resistance tomography or electrical impedance tomography.
Child resistant blister package
A child and bite resistant package having a tray and a plurality of spaced apart cavities that are formed therein is provided. A sheet material overlies the tray such that a product disposed in a cavity is enclosed and sealed therein. The sheet material includes a plurality of zones of weakening that are each disposed above a corresponding cavity. Each of the zones of weakening is formed by a plurality of microperforations that are formed in the sheet material. To access a product, the product is pushed against the lidding in the zone of weakness with sufficient force to rupture the lidding. Since the majority of the surface area above each compartment is non-rupturable, the compartments are difficult to access by a child by either hand manipulation or biting.
Lockable packaging and a release mechanism therefor
A lockable child-resistant, senior-friendly package of the sleeve-and-drawer style may be utilised for in healthcare type applications for the unit dose dispensing of pharmaceutical tablets, capsules and lozenges; in consumer good packaging applications for items such as food, recreational drugs (e.g., tobaccos, cigars, cigarettes, etc.), toys, hardware, and electrical items, or the like; and in security package applications to deter package pilferage for small high-value items, such as consumer electronics. The sleeve-and-drawer style package has an internal slidable lockable receptacle, having a two-part locking mechanism and an improved release mechanism.
