A mold configuration for forming a pocket in a film comprising: a film support surface; a perimeter edge at said film support surface; wall surfaces inward of the perimeter edge defining a mold cavity; the wall surfaces including transition wall surfaces extending to a bottom wall surface; and a plateau surface inward of the perimeter edge. In one form, the perimeter edge includes sharp corner profile perimeter edge portions defining at least one sharp corner profile. A method of forming a pouch, includes using the disclosed mold configuration. A resultant pouch has a perimeter seal seam having at least one sharp corner profile.

Provided is a lid material for a press-through pack package, comprising a heat-seal layer composed of a heat-sealing agent and a lid material film, wherein the heat-sealing agent contains an adhesive resin having a ratio E1/E2 of a storage elastic modulus at 30 C. E1 to a storage elastic modulus at 60 C. E2 of from 4.0 to 20.0 and a ratio E2/E3 of E2 to a storage elastic modulus at 80 C. E3 of from 1.3 to 4.0. Also provided is a lid material for a press-through pack package, comprising a heat-seal layer composed of a heat-sealing agent and a lid material film, wherein the heat-sealing agent contains an adhesive resin having a melting point of from 40 C. to lower than 90 C.

There is provided a pack (10) in the form of a stirrer for a hot or cold beverage. The stirrer comprises first and second films (13, 14) sealingly connected around a periphery to enclose a volume in which is disposed a liquid. The liquid is conveniently disposed in an elongate channel (15) formed in one of the films. Openable portions (17, 55) are provided at respective ends of the stirrer, one openable portion (17) allowing the liquid to flow out once opened and the other openable portion (55) acting as a vent. Each openable portion is opened by peeling apart the two films and has a stronger connection (52, 57) provided to limit the opening of the ends.

Each of the pouches is disposed in a respective depression formed in an upper surface of the first carrier sheet. A first internal atmosphere is enclosed within each of the pouches. The first carrier sheet is sealed to the second carrier sheet such that a second internal atmosphere exists between the second carrier sheet and the plurality of pouches. The second internal atmosphere has a greater absolute pressure than the first internal atmosphere so that the plurality of pouches and at least a portion of the cleaning composition in the plurality of pouches are compressed into the plurality of depressions in the first carrier sheet by the second internal atmosphere.

The apparatus includes a reader adapted to read the marker on the tray and to obtain, from the marker, the unique identifier for the tray. The apparatus also includes a controller adapted to receive patient-specific information and to associate the patient-specific information with the unique identifier for the tray, and a medication dispenser for automatically filling one or more cavities of the tray with medication with reference to the patient-specific information. A sealing unit is adapted to automatically apply the seal to the tray. The thermally printed human-readable information is directly derived from at least some of the patient-specific information.
