Spout for a flexible bag and flexible bag having a spout
A spout for use with a flexible bag and a flexible bag having a spout. The spout includes a threadform that extends about the outer surface. The threadform includes opposing threadforms that are of different configurations. Additionally, the insert member includes a poppet and a spring member to maintain the poppet in a configuration that precludes the passage of fluid therethrough.
LOW PERMEABLITY SAMPLE BAG
A fluid sample bag is composed of a first sheet and a second sheet of flexible polymeric material. Each sheet has an outer peripheral region, an inwardly oriented face and an outwardly oriented face. A continuous seam is located in the outer peripheral regions of the respective first and second sheets of flexible polymeric material, contiguously interposed between the first and second sheets and composed of melted polymeric material derived from the first and second sheets. The fluid sample bag has a gas permeability less than 10 ppm.
Plastic bag making apparatus
An apparatus to successively make plastic bags, each of which includes an end surface provided with a spout, by employing the general feeding way of panel material, to be simple in structure, low in cost, high in speed, and to make it possible to successively make the plastic bags two by two. A folded portion is formed in a first web of panel material, an aperture is formed in a web of end surface material, a spout is inserted into the aperture, the spout and the web of end surface material being heat sealed with each other. The web of end surface material and the folded portion are heat sealed with each other while the web of end surface material and a second web of panel material are heat sealed with each other about the spout.
Pouring Spout Fitment for Flexible Container
Flexible package fitments for use with detachable dispensing systems are provided. Pouring spout fitments configured to be attached to the inner surface of flexible containers are also provided. The detachable dispensing systems and pouring spout fitments include a hollow rigid member and an extendible spout disposed within and at least partially attached to the hollow rigid member and selectively positionable between a recessed position and, alternatively, an extended position, in which the extendible spout is configure to dispense a pourable material from the container through a distal opening when the fitment is attached to a flexible package. Material containers are also provided that include the fitments described herein.
Hollow body to be attached to a package and a method for producing said hollow body
The present disclosure relates to a hollow body configured to attach to a container for a liquid food product, the hollow body comprising a first piece and a second piece. At least a portion of a periphery of the first piece is attached to at least a portion of a periphery of the second piece in order to form the hollow body. Further, it is presented related methods for producing a package comprising a container and a hollow body.
OUTLET CONNECTOR PIECE HAVING A PROTRUDING FLANGE
The invention relates to an outlet connector piece (1) having a protruding flange (3) for non-detachably securing said outlet connector piece to a tubular bag (12). The flange (3) has a contact surface (4) which is designed for a welding or adhesive connection to the tubular bag and surrounds an outlet connector piece passage along a circumference (6). The contact surface (4) is rectangular or square, and the flange (3) has, extending parallel in a direction of extension, a film hinge (7) on each side at a distance from said outlet connector piece passage.
Slurry ice containment system and method
There is provided a slurry ice containment system, and the method of providing same. This involves impeding separation of liquid and ice components of a slurry ice mixture, and more particularly relates to impeding the separation of liquid and frozen components of a slurry food product mixture, such as, for example, a slurry juice. This can be done by providing catches within a container. These catches may be of various size, shape, structure, and position. These catches hold ice crystal volume in various places within the container to assist in preventing the total volume of ice crystal to rise to the top of a container.
REUSABLE POURING SPOUT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF IMPROVING THE POURING AND STORAGE OF PARTICULATE MATERIAL HOUSED IN BULK PACKAGING
A removable dispensing system for improving the extraction of pourable material from bulk packaging. The system includes a spout having an end with a flanged base and an end with a closure mechanism. The spout is connected to the bulk packaging with a two-sided adhesive element or coupler. The coupler attaches to the packaging and to the flanged base of the spout. The spout may be removed by hand and attached to a different package.
Vacuum package with reclosable pour spout and handle, and methods of making the same
A flexible package and methods of making the same are disclosed. The package is formed of a flexible sheet material and includes plural panels connected together to form an internal compartment holding a flowable granular or particulate material. The package includes a transverse seal line which includes a permanently sealed section and a releasably securable sealed section. The releasably securable sealed section is configured to be peeled open to form a spout for the package. The package also includes a re-closable connector located adjacent the releasably securable section to close the spout after it has been opened. The package also includes a handle for lifting and carrying the package and for facilitating pouring the contents of the package out of the spout.
Cursor Mode Switching
Methods and systems for processing input from an image-capture device for gesture-recognition. The method further includes computationally interpreting user gestures in accordance with a first mode of operation; analyzing the path of movement of an object to determine an intent of a user to change modes of operation; and, upon determining an intent of the user to change modes of operation, subsequently interpreting user gestures in accordance with the second mode of operation.
