FINGER-PROOF LABELS FOR PACKAGES
A package label is described. The package label comprises a first ply, a second ply, and a first edge. The second ply comprises a pull tab comprising a first boundary adjacent the first edge, a second boundary opposing the first boundary, and a first adhesive deadener area. The second ply also comprises a first line of weakness adjacent the second boundary and positioned apart from the first adhesive deadener area. The first line of weakness is linear. The second ply further comprises a first stopping feature adjacent a first end of the first line of weakness and a second stopping feature adjacent a second end of the first line of weakness. Various embodiments of the package label are also described.
PACKAGING
Packaging made of a sealable packaging material has a front wall and a rear wall which are directly or indirectly joined to one another; a removal opening extends from and/or is located at an edge of the packaging. An additional material may be disposed between the layers of packaging material, wherein this additional material can be configured as strips and/or can take up the entire width of the removal opening
Reclosable packaging
The present invention is related to a reclosable packaging container comprising a flexible laminate with a build-in opening and reclose feature, said laminate comprising an inner structure and an outer structure, adhesively joined face-to-face by a permanent adhesive, a pattern of pressure-sensitive adhesive being integrated between said inner and outer structures, the pressure-sensitive adhesive being entirely covered by the permanent adhesive, the outer structure forming the outer surface of the container and the inner structure forming the inner surface of the container, the outer structure comprising an outer flap portion delimited by a scoring linethrough the outer structure, and an inner structure comprising an inner flap portion delimited by a scoring line through the inner structure, the inner score line (6) and the outer score line creating an opening into the container when the flap portions are peeled back, a marginal region of the outer flap portion extending beyond an edge of the inner flap portion and overlying an underlying surface of the inner structure, the inner and outer flap portions being joined with the permanent adhesive and the pressure-sensitive adhesive being disposed between the marginal region of the outer flap portion and the underlying surface of the inner structure for attaching and re-attaching, in use, the outer flap portion to the underlying surface, wherein the sum of the layer thickness of the permanent adhesive and the pressure sensitive adhesion within the pattern is higher than the layer thickness of the permanent adhesive outside the pattern.
Back-off preventing resealable adhesives
Adhesive compositions that replace gaskets and liners in sealing applications for packages that are detachable with hand force are described. The adhesive compositions are particularly useful in preventing leaks and spillage during storage and transport of its packaged contents. Advantageously, the adhesive composition provides packages with (1) a removal torque of from about 4 to about 20 in-lb and (2) resealable torque on subsequent openings of from about 2 to about 15 in-lb, measured in accordance to ASTM D2063.
DEVICE FOR SEALING THE BOTTOM OR LID OF AN ECOLOGICALLY DESIGNED CARDBOARD BOX USING AN EXTENSIBLE BEARING ELEMENT
The invention relates to an extensible bearing element (28) intended to be arranged in a tool for sealing a bottom or a lid of a cardboard package on a body of said package, with a generally polygonal shape.
The extensible bearing element (28) has a cross-sectional profile comprising two parallel extension sections (36) extending along an extension direction (E), each connected, at one of their ends (36E), to a bearing section (38), such that the extension sections (36) and the bearing section (38) define an inflation cavity (30).
The extension sections (36) are configured so as to extend along the extension direction (E) during the inflation.
The bearing section (38) comprises a substantially flat free bearing surface (40), configured to come into contact with the package body, the bearing surface (40) extending along a plane substantially normal to the extension direction (E).
The bearing section (38) further comprises, at the junctions with the extension sections (36), beveled release portions (42).
The invention also relates to an inflation device (6) comprising such an extensible bearing element (28).
Sealing cover for containers with increased heat resistance, easy-opening performance and sealability
A sealing cover for containers with increased heat resistance, easy-opening performance and sealability is provided. The sealing cover includes an upper layer which is provided with the opening tab, and a lower layer which includes an aluminum foil and a heat sealing adhesive layer thermally-adhering to the container. The upper layer and the lower layer are integrated with each other via thermal adhesion using a heat adhesive resin or film.
RESEALABLE LIDDING WITH PATTERNED ADHESIVE
A package is defined by a rigid base member and a peripheral flange surface. A flexible lidding member is heat sealed to the flange. The lidding member includes a first layer having a perimeter portion fixed to the flange and a second layer adhered to the first layer. An adhesive layer includes a permanent adhesive central portion and a perimeter pressure sensitive adhesive portion overlapping with the flange. A central score line is provided within the first layer, surrounding the central adhesive portion. A tab portion is formed as part of the perimeter portion of the lidding member and includes an edge score line formed in the first layer directly adjacent the fixed perimeter portion of the first layer.
Battery Package
A battery package is described herein that advantageously maintains separation between batteries received therein while also providing a resealable opening to sequentially retrieve batteries therefrom. Further, the battery package can include an outer covering.
Tamper evidence feature
A spiral part used as a tamper evident feature an a peal reclose label. The spiral is formed on a pressure sensitive adhesive label, and the spiral is unraveled in order to open the package. Once unraveled, it is difficult to reclose the package with the spiral in its original place. In one embodiment, there is a special color to the label, so that once the package is opened, it can be seen.
CONTAINER STRUCTURE WITH A BUILT-IN OPENING AND RECLOSING FEATURE
Containers are described that allow a consumer to see inside the container and to more easily access the products. One form of the container includes a base member with a lid defining a window. A flexible laminate with a peelable flap portion is attached to the lid to provide access to the products inside. The flexible laminate includes a first film layer laminated to a second film layer. The first film layer includes a first cut line defining a peelable flap portion and the second film layer includes a second cut line offset from the first cut line that defines an opening into the container. First and second reclose surfaces defined between the cut lines on the corresponding film layers include pressure-sensitive adhesive to allow the container to be re-sealed via movement of the peelable flap portion back into engagement with the flexible laminate remaining with the container.
