LID FOR A CONTAINER
A lid for a container, such as a beverage cup, is provided. The lid includes a top wall for covering an opening of the container. The top wall may include an inner layer and an outer layer. The inner layer may include a first perforation line defining an openable sip hole area. The outer layer may be connected to the inner layer at the openable sip hole area. The outer layer may include a tearing off area that may be torn off and result in the opening of the first perforation line to create a sip hole in the inner layer.
STACKABLE CONTAINERS WITH SUPPORT BAND
A food carrying system comprises a plurality of food service items including at least one container and optionally one or more plates, drink carriers, and/or trays. At least one of the food service items includes opposing strap openings formed in an edge, encircling flange, or opposed flange handles thereof. A support band encircles the stack, passing through the strap openings, and ends thereof are affixed together to stabilize the stack and in embodiments providing a hand-hold for carrying the stack. The band can further extend through a strap opening provided in a separate handle, so that the stack can be carried using the handle. Strap openings can be provided on lids and/or bases of the containers. Strap openings can be closed ovals, or can be C-shaped, having open outer edges. Band ends can be joined by adhesive, hook-and-loop, knot tying, stapling, snaps, buttons, etc.
Storage container with multiple locking mechanisms
A storage container has a lid and a base, a first releasable locking mechanism including a snap-fit coupling between the lid and the base and a second releasable locking mechanism including a hinged coupling between the lid and the base.
Anti-theft storage container system
Lockable storage container systems, such as container systems for food storage or storage of other items, that feature a biometric locking system to help prevent unwanted opening of the container. The systems herein comprise a storage housing and a removable lid, wherein a locking mechanism is controlled by the biometric locking system such that the lid is locked on the housing unless deactivated by the biometric locking system.
BEVERAGE CONTAINER OPEN INDICATOR
A beverage container with a tactile indication of a properly open position for drinking. The beverage container includes a base, a collar, and a cap having an annular seal gasket for opening and closing the container for pouring/drinking. The improvement is a collar stop located on the collar, together with a pair of seal stops extending from the seal gasket and forming a notch therebetween. Rotation of the cap to open the container becomes more difficult as the collar stop interferes with the leading one of the seal stops. Continued rotation to seat the collar stop in the notch provides a tactile indication that the cap has rotated to the properly open position and further rotation may be avoided.
THERMAL INSULATION CONTAINER AND HEAT/COLD INSULATION APPARATUS USING THE SAME
[Object] To provide a thermal insulation container with which the heat/cold insulation effect is kept for longer time without increasing the size and weight of the thermal insulation container.
[Solving Means] The thermal insulation container includes an inner container, an outer container, and an overlap region. The inner container includes a first bottom portion, a first side wall portion that extends in a first direction from the first bottom portion and forms a first open end portion, and a first vacuum layer continuously formed inside the first bottom portion and the first side wall portion. The outer container includes a second bottom portion, a second side wall portion that extends in a second direction opposite to the first direction from the second bottom portion and forms a second open end portion, and a second vacuum layer continuously formed inside the second bottom portion and the second side wall portion. The outer container is fitted onto the inner container in such a manner that an inner surface of the second side wall portion and an outer surface of the first side wall portion face each other and forms a storage portion. The overlap region is formed in such a manner that the inner surface of the second side wall portion and the outer surface of the first side wall portion overlap each other.
BOX WITH SNAP-ON CLOSURE
A closure system with a three-dimensional structure with an opening and a lid for plugging onto the three-dimensional structure in order to close the opening. The lid is bistably deformable between a first state, in which its end wall is curved in the plug-in direction, and a second state, in which the end wall is curved against the plug-in direction. An annular edge section of the lid has a greater outer circumference in the first bistable state than in the second bistable state and forms a clamping fixture of the lid to a wall region of the opening when the edge section is pressed inwards in the first state or outwards against the wall region in the second state. The three-dimensional structure transfers a force from the outside at specified locations that to a snapping process of the lid from one to the other bistable state.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS ASSOCIATED WITH A DRINKING CONTAINER WITH A SOLID, INTEGRATED VALVE
A drinking container with an integrated valve that uses surface tension to control the flow of fluid.
APPARATUS FOR STORING AND EXTRACTING AN EDIBLE SUBSTANCE
An apparatus for storing and extracting an edible substance includes a container including an opening at a first end of the container and an aperture disposed through a surface at a second end of the container, a platform disposed within an interior portion of the container and operable to maintain the edible substance, and a stem extending from a base to the aperture of the container, wherein the stem is operable to move through the aperture of the container, wherein the platform is operable to move from a first position in the interior portion of the container to a second position within the interior portion of the container in response to movement of the stem through the aperture of the container, and wherein, when the platform moves to the second position, the edible substance is positioned for removal from the platform and from the container.
NOVEL PACKAGING SYSTEM FOR PRODUCE
A packaging system for strawberries includes a box having a tray and two short sidewalls and two long sidewalls extending from the tray to form a cavity. The two short sidewalls have a plurality of slots that open up to the cavity. Containers are disposed within the cavity. Each container has a top lid, a base portion, and a hinged spine connecting the top lid to the base portion. The top lid and the base portion include a plurality of recessed vents, and the top lid and the base portion are configured to be removably attached to one another by a coupling mechanism, in which the top lid and the base portion form windows to allow air therethough while removably attached. The recessed vents of and the windows are configured to align with the slots in the two short sidewalls of the box to improve a precooling process of strawberries.
