Shipping System for Shipping Glass Sheets

A shipping system for shipping planar substrates includes a plurality of planar substrates stacked to form a pack and a plurality of interleaving material including substantially spherical beads positioned between the substrates of the pack and configured to carry a load. Substantially all of the beads have a diameter within 25% of D.sub.max, where D.sub.max is a diameter corresponding to a size of an opening of an upper limit sieve used in the shipping system. Also disclosed are a spacer for use in a shipping system for shipping planar substrates, a wrapped system for shipping planar substrates, a method of wrapping a system for shipping planar substrates, and a powder applicator.

Method of using a corner board protector

A method of using a corner board protector to protect a corner on a palletized stack of containers. The method includes the steps of forming a one piece, corner board locator having a connection portion and an insert portion, and the corner board locator having an opening formed therethrough. Positioning the insert portion between two vertically aligned containers of the palletized stack of containers. Forming a corner board having two angled panels and a length. Inserting the two angled panels through the opening formed in the corner board locator to retain the corner board at a select height relative to the palletized stack of containers.

The system includes: a plurality of corner sets, each comprising at least two fiber cushions; a plurality of end cap sets, each comprising two opposing corrugated sleeves; and a graphical guide comprising and end cap selector and a corner selector. The graphical guide is configured to allow a user to: compare an ODM box to the end cap selector to thereby select one of the plurality of end cap sets; and compare the ODM box to the corner selector to thereby select one of the plurality of end corner sets. Each sleeve comprises a plurality of height score lines, a plurality of width score lines, and a support feature to stabilize the sleeve during folding.

FORMING STATION WITH GUIDE WALL

An apparatus for mechanically producing a three-dimensional packaging product from a web-shaped starting material (e.g., paper starting material) may include a forming station with a convergence channel for transversely compressing (e.g., turning-in or rolling-in) the starting material, and a conveying device for drawing off the starting material from a supply of starting material which is arrangeable upstream of the forming station in the conveying direction. The forming station may have mounting plate, on a guide side thereof, which is facing the convergence channel. The starting material entering the forming station is guided. The mounting plate may have at least one drive means of the conveying device rotatably mounted thereon, and a motor driving the at least one drive means may be further attached.
