A powder feeder includes a plurality of driving rollers with their axial centers horizontal, a cylindrical hopper placed on the driving rollers and rotationally driven, a connection opening formed in the rotating hopper for loading powder therein, a chuck inserted into the connection opening and supported by a support frame, a powder discharge passage interconnecting the inside and outside of the rotating hopper through the chuck, a scooping part continuously formed on an inner surface of the rotating hopper which faces an inner end of the powder discharge passage, and a pressurization passage open to the inside of the rotating hopper for pressurizing the inside of the rotating hopper, the inner end of the powder discharge passage interconnecting the inside and outside of the rotating hopper being open to a location where the powder that has been scooped up by the scooping part falls down.

DOSING METHOD AND DOSING DEVICE FOR PARTICLES OF BULK MATERIAL
20170029218 · 2017-02-02 ·

A method for dosing bulk material particles by using a dosing device and a dosing device is provided. A dosing member of the dosing device performs a conveying movement by rotation, in order to dose bulk material particles and proceeding from a bulk material supply of the dosing device convey the same to a bulk material discharge of the dosing device. The dosing member is at least temporarily put into a shaking and/or vibratory movement in operation of the dosing device, in order to reduce an adherence of bulk material particles among each other and achieve a more uniform mass output from the dosing member.

Apparatus for dispensing material

An apparatus for dispensing material includes an outlet opening with a perforated cover. A rotatable applicator dispenses material through the perforated cover and may include brushes that sweep across and penetrate the openings of the perforated cover. The housing may also contain a feed roller for regulating the flow of the material and one or more commutators for fractionating the material.

Kickout wheel assembly for a seed meter

A kickout wheel assembly for removing seeds from a seed metering member. The kickout wheel assembly includes a first kickout wheel configured to rotate to remove seeds from the seed metering member, and a second kickout wheel configured to rotate to remove seeds from the seed metering member. The second kickout wheel is journaled independently from the first kickout wheel.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR DOSING A FLOWABLE SOLID
20250368460 · 2025-12-04 ·

Embodiments relate to systems for dispensing a flowable solid. The system can include a body, a dosing device, and a handle. The body can include a storage volume, an inlet, an outlet, and a dosing chamber disposed between the storage volume and the outlet. The dosing device can be disposed at least partially within the dosing chamber. The dosing device can be rotatable about a horizontal axis and include a central shaft extending along the horizontal axis, a walls extending radially outward from the central shaft, dosing volumes defined in part by the walls. Each dosing volume can hold one dose of the flowable solid. The dosing device can restrict flow of the flowable solid from the storage volume to the outlet. The dosing device can rotate incrementally about the horizontal axis such that one dose of the flowable solid is dispensed through the outlet with each incremental rotation.

Apparatus and method for dosaging powdered or granulated material

An open unit housing is configured for removably and rotatably mounting therein at least a dosage feeder of a dosaging apparatus for dosaging a particulate chemical material when mounted above a body of a liquid material, with an interior of the open unit housing being exposed to ambient conditions. The open unit housing comprises a housing body portion having an interior surface defining a cavity exposed to ambient conditions and having an inlet opening facing upwardly for receiving the chemical material from an external source, and an outlet opening for disposing therethrough dosages of the chemical material. The housing body portion has a front end and an axially opposite rear end, the front and rear ends having inner surfaces that bound the cavity. The rear end has a rear opening configured to allow removable mounting of the dosage feeder therethrough into the cavity, and the front end has a front opening configured to allow a front moving member of the dosage feeder to extend therethrough to be connected to a driving member of the apparatus.
