CRAWLING INSECT TRAP

The present invention relates to an insect trap (1) including a hollow body (2) formed by two elements interlocking each other, the outer surface (3) of said hollow body (2) is pierced by a plurality of openings (4), each opening (4) extending into a tunnel (7) facing the inside of the hollow body (2), characterized in that removable tunnel elements (11) are inserted at the surface (3) of said hollow body (2) via the upper portion (13) of same, wherein said upper portion fits with the insert hole made directly in the hollow body (2). Said tunnel elements (11) comprises a lower portion that corresponds to the tunnel (7) and the inner diameter and the length of which can be adapted to the dimensions of the target insect in such a way that they force said insect located therein to move in one direction toward the inside of the hollow body (2) but do not allow said insect to turn around by pivoting on itself.

The invention is directed at to a pest entrapment device for attracting and trapping flying pests around the head of a person. The apparatus includes an attachable device having at least one member, which member contains at least one cavity to hold a pest attractant. The attachable device is affixed to a head covering on the underside of a bill, brim, visor or the like. The pest attractant can be of a combination of grease, carbon dioxide, sweetener, and a sticky, viscid matter. The pest attractant also acts as a trapping substance to capture the flying insects. The pest entrapment device can be removed for cleaning and reapplication of the pest attractant.

An inflatable flying insect trap that serves also serves as a light source. The insect trap is formed of an inflatable globe that, once inflated, forms a curved wall upon which a glue trap may be mounted. One or more LEDs positioned within the cavity of the globe emits light that passes through the globe and through the attached glue trap. Insects attracted to the light will become adhered to the external surface of the glue trap.

Insect light trap

An insect light trap generally including a housing, a lamp for attracting insects mounted in the housing, a first space for receiving a first insect trap, and a second space contained in the housing. The second space has received therein a module including a second insect trap. The second insect trap includes an advanceable adhesive surface for trapping the insects and a motor to advance the adhesive surface.

A PEST MONITORING DEVICE

A pest monitoring device is disclosed. The pest monitoring device includes a housing; an optical sensor configured to generate optical data related to an interior surface within the housing; and a processor in communication with the optical sensor. The processor is configured to receive optical data from the optical sensor; select optical data relating to at least one segment of the interior surface, the optical data relating to the at least one segment being arranged as a plurality of pixels. The processor is further configured to evaluate if the optical data corresponding to the least one segment meets a pre-determined condition associated with the interior surface by: counting the number of pixels of the plurality of pixels which indicate a light intensity below a pre-determined intensity value; and determining if the number of pixels having a light intensity below the pre-determined intensity limit is greater than or equal to a pre-determined pixel threshold value. The processor is further configured to determine, based on whether the optical data corresponding to the at least one segment meets the pre-determined condition associated with the interior surface, if there is an indication of a pest on the interior surface. A method of monitoring a pest trap is also disclosed.

DOMESTIC INSECT TRAP

The present invention consists of a collapsible trap for insects, particularly male and female Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, the trap preferably being made of card and designed for use in a domestic or commercial environment. Specifically, the present invention discloses a foldable trap for insects, particularly male and female Aedes aegypti mosquitoes, the trap being formed by a hollow, prismatic main body which comprises an upper cover and a lower cover. The hollow, prismatic main body also comprises a translucent window in one of the sides, the internal surface of which translucent window is impregnated with an adhesive for insects. An attractive mosquito bait is located inside the hollow main body. The mosquitoes, attracted by the bait, enter the trap through at least one curved interior conduit which is located inside the hollow main body and has an entrance in the upper cover and an exit inside the trap.
