An operation panel is integrated into a conveying unit, and the operation panel and a conveying roller are displaced with respect to each other in a sheet width direction crossing a sheet conveying direction. The operation panel and the conveying roller are located in a manner at least partly overlapping each other in the sheet conveying direction and a height direction in the conveying unit. Further, the operation panel and the conveying roller are at least partly located within a range of a width of a sheet conveying area by the conveying unit.

A sheet supplying device is provided. The sheet supplying device includes a separator to separate sheets one by one. The separator includes a separation pad, a spring, and a separation pressure adjuster. The separation pad contacts each of the sheets. The spring applies a separation pressure to the separation pad. The separation pressure adjuster adjusts the separation pressure to one of separation pressure values variable in multiple steps.
SHEET FEED APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS HAVING THE SAME
A sheet feed apparatus includes a sheet separation unit, and the sheet separation unit includes a separation roller that is provided so as to be brought into contact to an outer peripheral surface of a sheet feed roller, and separates a sheet fed by the sheet feed roller into one. The sheet separation unit comprises a hook for rotatably supporting the sheet separation unit in a main body casing of the sheet feed apparatus and an engaging claw that makes the sheet separation unit engage with the main body casing. Therefore, the sheet separation unit is held in the main body casing detachably.
Sheet storage device and image forming apparatus
A sheet storage device, including a storage tray configured to store a sheet therein; a board, on which the sheet to be stored in the storage tray is placed, the board being configured to be swingably supported by the storage tray at a first position closer to a first end thereof than a second end being opposite from the first end to swing about a swing axis; and a projection configured to protrude from a bottom of the storage tray toward the board, the projection including a contact part being configured to contact the board member at a second position closer to the second end than to the first end of the board, is provided. A length of the contact part along an axial direction of the swing axis is smaller than a length of the board at the second position closer to the second end.

A sheet conveyor including a separation roller, a separation pad, an urging member urging the separation pad, and a feed roller unit disposed downstream relative to the separation roller in a conveyance direction, the feed roller unit including a first outer circumferential surface disposed on a first side in a width direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction, a second outer circumferential surface disposed on a second side opposite to the first side in the width direction, and a concave portion disposed between the first and second outer circumferential surfaces in the width direction, the concave portion being recessed inward in a radial direction of the first and second outer circumferential surfaces from the first and second outer circumferential surfaces, an urging member being disposed upstream relative to the concave portion in the conveyance direction and disposed between the first and second outer circumferential surfaces in the width direction.

A sheet conveying apparatus, including: a base body having a conveyor surface; a separating roller configured to rotate about a first rotation axis parallel to a width direction of the conveyor surface and to convey a sheet downstream in a conveyance direction orthogonal to the width direction; a separating piece opposed to the separating roller and configured to cooperate with the separating roller to separate sheets being conveyed one by one; an attachment member removably attached to the base body at a position at which the attachment member is opposed to the separating roller, so as to form a part of the conveyor surface; a holder holding the separating piece and supported by the attachment member so as to be movable toward and away from the separating roller; and a first urging member provided between the attachment member and the holder for urging the separating piece toward the separating roller.

In a sheet feeding apparatus without increase in size and without fluctuation in sheet feeding interval, a clutch is brought into a disconnected state after a separation roller separates from a feed roller.

A sheet conveying device, which is included in an image forming apparatus and an optional device attachable to the image forming apparatus, includes a sheet container, a sheet feeder, a separator, a guide, and a projection. The sheet container loads multiple sheets. The sheet feeder feeds a sheet out of the multiple sheets in the sheet container. The separator separates the sheet from another sheet fed together with the sheet. The guide having a guide surface to guide the sheet passing the separator such that the sheet is fed in a predetermined sheet conveying direction. An upstream end in the sheet conveying direction of the guide surface of the guide is located lower than a downstream end in the sheet conveying direction of the separator. The projection is disposed facing the separator at the upstream end in the sheet conveying direction of the guide surface.
Medium feeding device
A medium feeding device includes a feeder that feeds a medium, a medium detection sensor that detects the medium fed by the feeder, and a processor that changes feed settings of the feeder based on a detection result of the medium detection sensor, wherein the processor switches a feed setting to be changed among a plurality of the feed settings of the feeder based on the detection result of the medium detection sensor.
Feeding apparatus and printing apparatus
When waiting for printing, a cam that rotates together with the rotation of a gear locks a knurl at position on the upstream side in the sheet conveyance direction, which prevents sheets from dropping down. Moreover, during printing, when the cam is rotated 180 from the locked position, the knurl is in a state capable of sliding toward the downstream side. As a result, with the force that returns the knurl to the upstream side being too small, it is possible to prevent feeding overlapping sheet due to the front end of a sheet further on the down side than a sheet being fed from dropping toward the downstream side further than the knurl.
