Medium feeding device and image reading apparatus
A medium feeding device includes a lower portion unit in which a feeding roller is provided, and an upper portion unit in which a separating roller is provided and which is connected to the lower portion unit so as to be openable and closable. The lower portion unit has a cover member which covers a holding portion of the feeding roller while exposing a portion of the feeding roller to the transport path, and the cover member is configured to be removable in a direction including a component directed toward an upstream side in the transport direction by being attachable to and detachable from the lower portion unit.
SHEET FEEDING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet feeding apparatus includes a stacking surface on which a sheet is stacked, a feed portion configured to feed the sheet in a sheet feeding direction, first and second detecting portions disposed at positions different from each other in a width direction orthogonal to the sheet feeding direction and so as to overlap with the stacking surface in a view from a height direction orthogonal to the stacking surface, the first and second detecting portions being configured to detect height positions which are positions in the height direction of an uppermost sheet, and a control portion configured to stop feeding the sheet by the feed portion based on at least one detection result of the first and second detecting portions in feeding the sheet.
SHEET MATERIAL CONVEYING DEVICE
A sheet material conveying device unwinds from a roll body a sheet-shaped member constituting a membrane electrode assembly and conveys the sheet-shaped member. The sheet material conveying device is equipped with a suction member that moves the sheet-shaped member, and a negative pressure supply unit that supplies a negative pressure to the suction member. The suction member is constituted by a porous body capable of sucking under the negative pressure one surface of the sheet material having been unwound from the roll body and is movable in a conveying direction.
SHRINK CONVEYOR AND METHOD FOR ALLOWING SHRINK IN A CONTINUOUS STRIP
A shrink conveyor and a method are provided for allowing shrink in a continuous strip. The shrink conveyor comprises a plurality of rollers, a frame that defines a plurality of roller positions, and a first drive member for driving the plurality of rollers. Each roller of the plurality of rollers comprises a first driven part that has a first drive profile that tapers. The first drive member is arranged for rotating the plurality of rollers through contact with the first driven parts at a rotation speed in a transmission ratio to the speed of the first drive member in such a way that the first drive member contacts the first driven part of each roller of the at least three rollers at a different diameter for each roller.
ACCUMULATION DEVICE
An accumulation device is provided with a first roller group which comprises multiple first rollers that can rotate, and a second roller group which comprises multiple second rollers that can rotate and that can move in the direction towards or away from the first roller group. Substrates are conveyed alternately between the first rollers and the second rollers so as to go back and forth in a wound state, and the substrates are accumulated by relative movement of the first roller group and the second roller group in the direction away from each other. The second rollers are supported by a support member which is capable of moving relative to the first roller group, and are independently biased in the direction away from the first roller group by elastic members which are provided on the support member corresponding to each of the second rollers.
Corrugating rollers apparatus and method for a media storage bin in a self-service terminal
A self-service terminal, apparatus, and method for corrugating received media items is disclosed. A bin is provided for storing media items. A pathway selectively conveys a received media item to the bin. An apparatus that include as set of paired corrugating drive rollers is mounted in the pathway for creasing the received media item as it is conveyed to the bin. The set of paired corrugating drive rollers has a plurality of first corrugating rollers mounted in a spaced apart fashion on a common shaft, each of the first corrugating rollers having an outwardly facing rounded-V profile, and a plurality of second corrugating rollers mounted in a spaced apart fashion on a common shaft, each of the second corrugating rollers having an inwardly facing slot. Each of the plurality of first corrugating rollers is positioned adjacent to a corresponding one of the plurality of second corrugating rollers.
Systems for processing material, taping stations to apply tape to one or more rolls of material, and methods of processing material
Systems for processing material, taping stations to apply tape to one or more rolls of material, and methods of processing material are disclosed. A system for processing material includes a winding station and a taping station. The winding station includes a winder to wrap material around a mandrel to produce one or more rolls of material. The taping station is arranged downstream of the winding station to receive the one or more rolls of material therefrom and apply tape to the one or more rolls of material.
SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS, SHEET LAMINATOR, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A sheet processing apparatus includes a sheet separator, a position detector, a position adjuster, a take-up roller, and a take-up assembly. The sheet separator separates a two-ply sheet, and inserts a sheet medium into the two-ply sheet. The position detector detects respective amounts of positional deviations of the two-ply sheet and the sheet medium. The position adjuster adjusts the positional deviation of the two-ply sheet, before a sheet separating operation, based on the amount of the positional deviation of the two-ply sheet. The take-up roller takes up the two-ply sheet subjected to the sheet separating operation. The take-up assembly moves the take-up roller in a width direction. The position adjuster causes the positional deviation of the two-ply sheet to be adjustable based on the amount of the positional deviation of the sheet medium. The take-up assembly causes the take-up roller to be movable in sync with the position adjuster.
PLOTTER
The plotter comprises an assist roller including a rotating body for pressing a medium against a work stage. The assist roller is configured to be attachable to and detachable from a rail. The assist roller is configured to be movable in only a longitudinal direction of the rail while being mounted on the rail.
