ORAL COMPOSITION WITH SALT INCLUSION
The disclosure provides compositions and products configured for oral use, the compositions and products including a filler material, an active ingredient, and a salt component. The salt component may be present in an amount of between about 3.0% and about 4.5% by weight based on the total weight of the composition. The compositions and products as described herein may particularly exhibit a desired flavor profile.
SUBSTRATE WITH MULTIPLE AEROSOL FORMING MATERIALS FOR AEROSOL DELIVERY DEVICE
The present disclosure provides an aerosol generating component including a substrate impregnated with two or more aerosol forming materials, including a first aerosol forming material and a second aerosol forming material, wherein the first aerosol forming material and the second aerosol forming material each have different boiling points, different vapor pressures, or both. The disclosed aerosol generating component may be utilized in aerosol delivery devices such as heat not burn (HNB) or electrically heated aerosol delivery devices.
METHODS OF MANUFACTURING AN ORAL COMPOSITION
The disclosure provides for oral compositions comprising a clarified tobacco extract and one or more filler components. In another aspect, the disclosure provides methods of preparing a clarified tobacco extract. Such methods can comprise processing a tobacco extract through at least one ultrafiltration step to provide a filtered tobacco extract and passing the filtered tobacco extract through a solution comprising one or more non-molecularly imprinted polymer (NIP) to provide the clarified tobacco extract.
ORAL PRODUCT
The disclosure provides products configured for oral use and a process for preparing such oral products. The products include a cellulose material selected from the group consisting of maize fiber, oat fiber, barley fiber, rye fiber, buckwheat fiber, sugar beet fiber, bran fiber, bamboo fiber, wood pulp fiber, cotton fiber, citrus pulp fiber, grass fiber, willow fiber, poplar fiber, cocoa fiber, derivatives thereof, and combinations thereof; and a cannabinoid.
ORAL PRODUCT
The disclosure provides products configured for oral use and a process for preparing such oral products. The products include a cannabinoid, a filler, and water. The water content of the oral product is at least about 10% by weight of the oral product, and the water activity of the oral product is no greater than about 0.85.
TREATMENT OF TOBACCO
Methods of fermenting a tobacco material and methods of modifying the total bacterial content of a tobacco material are provided herein. One example method includes treating a tobacco material with superheated steam in a pressurized vessel to provide a steam-treated tobacco material having a reduced total bacteria content and fermenting the steam-treated tobacco material in the presence of one or more microorganisms to provide a fermented tobacco material. In some embodiments, the methods provided herein can provide a fermented tobacco material having a tobacco-specific nitrosamine content that is reduced relative to a fermented tobacco material that has not been subjected to the disclosed method steps and/or a modified flavor or aroma profile relative to a fermented tobacco material that has not been subjected to the disclosed method steps.
