Composite smokeless tobacco products, systems, and methods

A smokeless tobacco product includes smokeless tobacco and a polymeric material in intimate contact with the smokeless tobacco and stabilized in conformance to a surface topography of the tobacco's fibrous structures such that the stabilized polymeric material secures the smokeless tobacco together. The smokeless tobacco product has a moisture-permeable porous surface and an overall oven volatiles content of at least 10 weight percent.

ENCAPSULATED FLAVORANT DESIGNED FOR THERMAL RELEASE AND CIGARETTE BEARING THE SAME

Improved delivery of additives is provided through encapsulation. The encapsulated additives can be formed by encapsulating additives using co-ionic cross-linking, in-situ overcoating, and/or step-growth overcoating. By encapsulating additives, additives can be made heat and moisture stable and migration and/or loss of the additives within a cigarette, such as an activated carbon containing cigarette, can be reduced.

A baked item includes a tobacco and a microwave absorbing agent. The tobacco and the microwave absorbing agent are both capable of absorbing microwaves to generate heat, the microwave absorbing agent is made of a non-volatile solid material with a stable dielectric loss constant. The microwave absorbing agent is capable of stably absorbing microwaves to generate heat to heat the tobacco through thermal conduction. A method for preparing the baked item and a microwave heating method for the baked item include, the microwave absorbing agent is added into the tobacco, and the microwave absorbing agent can stably absorb microwaves to generate heat. In addition to absorbing microwaves to generate heat, the tobacco may be also heated by the microwave absorbing agent through thermal conduction, and temperature rising of the tobacco is more stable and uniform under a double heating mechanism of microwave radiation and thermal conduction.

Method Of Forming A Shaped Foam Containing A Tobacco Ingredient Containing Agent

A method of forming a shaped foam containing a tobacco ingredient containing agent includes a first step of combining and mixing the tobacco ingredient containing agent and a foam forming agent to obtain a first mixture; a second step of adding an aerosol forming agent and optionally a solvent and/or at least one non-tobacco flavoring agent to the first mixture to obtain a second mixture; a third step of adding a foam stabilizing agent to the second mixture to obtain a third mixture; and extruding the third mixture to produce a shaped foam, wherein at least the second and the third step are carried out inside an extruder. A shaped foam containing a tobacco ingredient containing agent produced by the method, and a device for producing shaped foam containing a tobacco ingredient containing agent are also provided.
