The invention relates to an insect trap (10) and more particularly to an insect trap which has been designed to facilitate simple and efficient servicing, maintenance and cleaning. In a first aspect the trap comprises a. a back housing (12); b. a frame (14) swing mounted to said housing; and c. a cover (16) comprising openings (18) allowing insects to enter the trap and the frame supports one or a plurality of lights (22) such that said frame and lights can be moved from a first position where they overlie the back housing, to a second position where they lie clear of the back housing such that an insect catching means (100) which may be fitted over the back housing is readily accessible for replacement during servicing. In another aspect the trap comprises a. a back housing (12); b. a plurality of lights (22); and c. a cover (16) and the trap is adapted for ease of servicing and jet cleaning by the provision of shields (60) each of which sealably protect, from water ingress, a plurality of lights (22) at the positions where they connect to electrical fittings (24). In yet another aspect there is provided an insect capture means (100) with a general capture surface (102) and a separate surface (104) designed to facilitate record keeping.

The device has image acquisition and image recognition systems that captures images of plants and automatically responds by way of an action when a weed or insect is identified. The action head may grip the offending object or release a substance such a herbicide to eliminate a weed.

The pest control device mounting system including a mounting bracket, which may have a circumferential portion defining a portal. In some examples, the mounting bracket includes a flange portion suitable for attaching to the perimeter of a cavity in a building surface. The pest control device mounting system including a plug configured to be removably attached to the mounting bracket and to substantially close the portal when attached to the mounting bracket, wherein the plug is configured to accommodate a pest control device.

Insect trap

An insect trap includes a trap assembly and a trapping box provided with an opening in the upper end thereof, wherein a killing component is arranged in the trapping box; the trapping box is arranged below the trap assembly, and the bottom of the trapping box is connected to the trap assembly; and a space for insects to pass through is maintained between the trap assembly and the upper edge of the trapping box. The insect trap can lure insects moving around the insect trap into the trapping box, and can effectively prevent insects from climbing onto the trap assembly.

The fan functions to create a vacuum for drawing in mosquitos. A killing assembly has an upper dish and a lower dish. The upper dish has electrically charged wires. A pool in the lower dish constitutes a container for standing water. Air tubes are laterally spaced and vertically oriented. The air tubes have upper ends disposed above the pool to draw in mosquitos entering the vicinity of the upper ends and lower ends received in the rectangular conduit.

A base assembly has an upward plate, a downward plate, a side wall, a front, a back, and laterally spaced sides. A drive assembly has drive wheels which extend downwardly from the downward plate and has a caster wheel. The drive assembly also has proximity sensors. A vacuum assembly has a vacuum slit formed in the downward plate between the laterally spaced sides. A source of vacuum pulls a vacuum through the vacuum slit. A tower assembly attracts and kills insects while the base assembly and tower assembly are driven by the drive assembly and the vacuum assembly vacuums up insects.
