A device for use in a security system includes a sensor, an image capture device, an action arm, and a processor in communication with the sensor, the image capture device, and the action arm. The processor is configured to receive data from the sensor and the image capture device and identify a target based on an analysis of the received data. The processor is also configured to determine, based on the analysis of the received data, that the target is a drone or other mechanical device. The processor is also configured to determine an action to take on the identified target. The processor is further configured to cause the action arm to perform the determined action on the target.

INSECT LIGHT TRAP WITH EXTRUDED CURVED SIDE PANELS AND CURVED GLUE BOARD
20180184635 · 2018-07-05 ·

Insect capture is improved by providing a glue board having an adhesive coating on its front surface and forming a pattern of insect attractant UV light on that front surface. That pattern includes areas of bright UV light generated by light-emitting diodes that generate light at different wavelengths behind and visible through the glue board by flying insects, dimmer areas of light generated by said light-emitting diodes that bounce off other portions of the device onto the glue board, and areas of shadow on the glue board where no or little light from said light-emitting diodes is present.

INSECT CONTROL DEVICE

An insect control device that lures and traps insects. The device has a fluid retaining vessel and a grille structure with opposed surfaces that are coated with a non-drying adhesive. The grille structure has openings that are dimensioned in relationship to the body size of a target insect. Coating both of the opposed surfaces of the grille provides an initial capture surface when an insect makes minimum contact with the grille and a secondary capture surface if an egg develops into a mosquito.

A mattress bag assembly includes a bag that is selectively be positioned around a mattress. A first barrier unit is coupled to the mattress to pose an obstacle for the bed bugs thereby requiring the bed bugs to crawl over the first barrier unit. The first barrier unit includes a first adhesive to adhere to the bed bugs when the bed bugs crawl over the first barrier unit. Thus, the bed bugs are inhibited from accessing a person lying on the mattress. A second barrier unit is coupled to the mattress to pose an obstacle for the bed bugs thereby requiring the bed bugs to crawl over the second barrier unit. The second barrier unit includes a second adhesive to adhere to the bed bugs when the bed bugs crawl over the second barrier unit. Thus, the bed bugs are inhibited from accessing a person lying on the mattress.

VORTEX INSECT TRAP
20180177175 · 2018-06-28 · ·

A vortex insect trap includes an insect trapping container, a fan and an insect-killing device. The insect trapping container internally defines an air flowing space, in which the insect-killing device is disposed. The air flowing space is enclosed in at least one flow-guiding wall surface and communicable with external environment via an air suck-in port and an air exit port of the vortex insect trap. The fan is mounted to the air exit port for sucking in external air via the air suck-in port and discharging air inside the air flowing space from the insect trapping container via the air exit port. When the fan operates, air sucked into the air flowing space flows along the flow-guiding wall surface to form a spiral air flow that flows toward a bottom of the air flowing space while carries insects sucked into the air flowing space to the insect-killing device.
