CLUSTER SUPPORTED CATALYST AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING SAME

An improved cluster-supporting catalyst has heteroatom-removed zeolite particles, and catalyst metal clusters supported within the pores of the heteroatom-removed zeolite particles. A method for producing a cluster-supporting catalyst includes the following steps: providing a dispersion liquid containing a dispersion medium and the heteroatom-removed zeolite particles dispersed in the dispersion medium; and in the dispersion liquid, forming catalyst metal clusters having a positive charge, and supporting the catalyst metal clusters within the pores of the heteroatom-removed zeolite particles through an electrostatic interaction.

MONOLITHIC COMPOSITE PHOTOCATALYSTS

Monolithic composite photocatalysts for fluid purification are disclosed. The monolithic composite photocatalysts comprise a photoactive nanocrystal component and a non-photoactive porous support. Photocatalytic fluid purification systems that contact an impurity-containing fluid with the subject monolithic composite photocatalysts are also disclosed. The monolithic composite photocatalysts may be affixed to or embedded in scaffold structures to promote fluid flow through a fluid purification system and contact with the monolithic composite photocatalysts.

A process for combusting coke from catalyst in partial burn mode is disclosed. The regenerator comprises two chambers. The bulk of the combustion is performed in a first chamber. Disengagement of the catalyst from gas is conducted in the second chamber. Heated gas with a low fraction of oxygen fluidizes catalyst in the second chamber.

Monolithic catalyst for simultaneous removal of NOX and carbon particles, especially from off-gases of carbon power plants as well as the manner of production of the monolithic catalyst for simultaneous removal of NOX and carbon particles, especially from off-gases of carbon power plants

A monolithic catalyst for simultaneous removal of NO.sub.x and carbon particles, especially from off-gases of carbon power plants contains the monolith is made from acid-proof austenitic steel. The catalyst is a two-phase one; moreover, it contains the phases NiFe.sub.2O.sub.4 and Fe.sub.2O.sub.3(Mh) with spinel structure, and these phases form microcrystallites, additionally containing Mn. The manner of production of the monolithic catalyst for simultaneous removal of NO.sub.x and carbon particles, especially from off-gases of carbon power plants depends on the monolith is subject to oxidation after which the resulting oxide layers are washed with the solution of nickel salts; later the monolith is baked in the oxidising atmosphere with the view to inserting nickel ions into the oxide layer; finally this obtained oxide layers are subject to reduction.
