TWO STAGE FOAM PUMP AND METHOD OF PRODUCING FOAM
A foam dispenser with a pump mechanism that mixes a liquid with air to generate foam. The pump mechanism includes a first stage pump and a second stage pump. The first stage pump delivers the liquid and a first volume of the air through a first foam generator to generate a first foam. The second stage pump delivers the first foam and a second volume of the air through a second foam generator to generate a second foam.
Pump dispensers
A dispenser pump has a plunger operable in a body including an outer cylinder body having a vent opening in its sidewall and a body insert fitting into the top of the body cylinder and providing an external collar through which the plunger stem operates. The body insert has a lock-down thread to lock down the plunger for shipping. The insert also has an undulating annular vent-control bead extending right round its cylindrical outer surface, engaging the cylinder wall with interference for either blocking or unblocking the vent opening, according to whether the vent-control bead lies above or below the interior vent opening, by rotation between the body cylinder and body insert. The rotation can be driven by rotation of the plunger head, which makes a catch engagement with the top of the body insert. Blocking the vent during shipping reduces leakage.
DISPENSER PUMP
A dispenser pump is constituted by a closure body (2), a diaphragm body (3) which forms a pump chamber with the closure body and optionally a top actuator (4) for pressing the diaphragm body (4). The diaphragm body has a deformable wall (35) formed integrally in the same polymer as its annular mounting portion (31). An inlet valve (5) through the floor (21) of the closure body has a flap (52) which is formed and hinged integrally with that floor (21). An outlet valve may also be formed in the same polymer, either integrally with the diaphragm body or as a separate component. The deformable wall of the diaphragm body is shaped to generate a restoring force itself without a separate spring, so that the entire pump may be made from the same polymer e.g. polypropylene and without metal components.
DISPENSER FOR DISPENSING A FLUID
Described is a dispenser for dispensing a fluid, made of plastic material, including: —a ring nut having an inner cylindrical wall equipped with partial grooves; —a concertina-like deformable element, defining a return spring of the dispenser and including a cylindrical lower projection equipped with relative partial grooves; —a ring designed to define with the ring nut a locking system designed to define an operating configuration and a non-operating configuration of the dispenser in such a way as to pull the concertina-like deformable element in such a way as to align the partial grooves of the cylindrical wall of the ring nut and the partial grooves of the concertina-like deformable element.
Selectively Openable Closure for a Container
A closure for a container, and more specifically a closure that is selectively openable and/or lockable providing, for example, one or more child resistant opening features is disclosed.
Metering pump
Disclosed is a metering pump comprising a housing that extends from an inlet region to an outlet and surrounds a piston which is urged into a starting position by a compression spring. In the metering pump the stop limiting the lifting stroke of the piston is formed by the lower end of the piston coming in contact with the inlet portion.
A FLUID SUBSTANCE DISPENSING DEVICE
A fluid substance dispensing device includes an external container with a containment element formed of a deformable part and an essentially rigid neck featuring a first flange which abuts with a free end of the external container at one of the mouth thereof, an intermediate element with a cup-shaped part inserted into the neck and fastened to the external container so that the first flange is sandwiched between the free end and the intermediate element, the cup-shaped part including an opening in communication with an internal part of the deformable part, there being—inside the cup-shaped part—a valve element configured for displacement by the body of an airless pump so that, when the body of the pump is absent or in an unused position, the valve element is stably closed, while when the pump body is pushed into a use position, the valve element is stably open.
Electrically actuated pump
Automatic electric actuation of the pump of a liquid dispenser apparatus is provided by a stepper motor having a threaded hollow liquid-conducting tube positioned therein and configured such that motor drives the hollow tube up and down in response to supply of a plurality of electrical pulses thereto. A lower end of the hollow tube is constructed to inter-fit with a stem of the pump such that driving the hollow tube up and down creates a pumping action.
ELASTIC MEMBER AND PUMP ASSEMBLY INCLUDING THE SAME
An elastic member for a pump assembly is provided. The elastic member may include an upper support; a lower support provided under the upper support; and a connection part which connects the upper support and the lower support, and in which peaks and valleys are repeatedly formed in an outward direction to be bent when the elastic member is pressurized.
Gravity Fed Spray Head
A gravity fed spray head includes a housing, a coupling mounted atop the housing for fastening a container above the housing, a sprayer mounted to a horizontal extension of the housing, a pump mounted inside the housing below the coupling, the pump having an inlet and an outlet facing the coupling, and a trigger having a first end rotatably mounted to the housing below the coupling, and a second end extending below the pump, the trigger coupled to a trigger lever for actuating the pump.
