A Smoking Article With Liquid-filled Capsule
A smoking article includes a rod element including smokeable material and a filter element having a first end for connection to an end of the rod element and an opposite, second end for insertion into a mouth of a user. A liquid-filled capsule is arranged between the first and second ends of the filter element and the liquid-filled capsule is configured to break upon application of an external force to release the liquid. A tipping wrapper connects the filter element and rod element. The tipping wrapper has a wet tensile strength of at least about 0.15 kN/m. The smoking article is resistant to breakage even after the liquid is released.
TOBACCO PRODUCT WITH FLUORESCENT OR PHOSPHORESCENT SUBSTANCES
A filter cigarette includes a filter, a filter wrapper material enwrapping the filter, a tobacco rod, a tobacco rod wrapper material enwrapping the tobacco rod, and a mouthpiece wrapper material. The mouthpiece wrapper material enwraps at least a subregion of the filter wrapper material and has an upper surface which forms at least part of the surface of the filter cigarette. The filter cigarette has at least one fluorescent or phosphorescent substance in the region of the mouthpiece wrapper material below the upper surface of the mouthpiece wrapper material. The mouthpiece wrapper material has an opening in at least one region of the fluorescent or phosphorescent substance or is embodied as a translucent or transparent film, so that this at least one region is visible from the outside of the filter cigarette.
SMOKING ARTICLE WITH IMPROVED FLAVOR PERSISTENCE AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREOF
Provided are a smoking article having improved flavor persistence and a manufacturing method thereof, the smoking article including: a smoking material portion: a filter portion: and a wrapper wrapping at least a portion of the smoking material portion, wherein flavor persistence of the smoking article is improved by applying a flavoring sheet including a hydrocolloid material and flavoring to the wrapper.
Film-forming composition for applying to cigarette paper
The present invention relates to a composition having two or three film-forming agents for applying to cigarette paper, wherein the molecular weight distributions of the film-forming agents are statistically significantly different from each other. The invention further relates to a cigarette paper on which the composition is applied to discrete regions, wherein the regions are characterized by a value for diffusivity, and to a cigarette comprising the cigarette paper, characterized by values for auto-selection. The present invention further relates to a method for producing the cigarette paper and the cigarette.
NON-COMBUSTING SMOKING ARTICLE WITH THERMOCHROMATIC LABEL
A smoking article is disclosed herein. The smoking article includes a shell defining an interior space, a consumable substance within the interior space, a heat source effective to increase the temperature of at least a portion of the shell, and a label attached to at least a portion of the shell. The label includes a base film, a cover film, and a temperature dependent material disposed between the base film and the cover film. The temperature dependent material is configured to transition between a first appearance and a second appearance responsive to the increase of the temperature of at least a portion of the shell.
LOW IGNITION PROPENSITY CIGARETTE PAPER AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF
A wrapper of a smoking article includes a base web and at least one transverse banded region. The banded region includes a first zone, a second zone and a third zone of add-on material. The second zone has about 25% to about 75% less add-on material than the first zone and the third zone. The banded region is about 5 mm to about 9 mm wide and the second zone is centrally located between the first zone and the third zone. The second zone includes a plurality of dots of the add-on material spaced from adjacent dots in the second zone by a distance greater than a distance between adjacent dots in the first zone and the third zone.
SMOKING ARTICLE HAVING TRANSPARENT WRAPPER
A mouthpiece for a smoking article comprises at least one mouthpiece element; a substantially transparent wrapper wrapped around the at least one mouthpiece element such that first and second opposed edges of the substantially transparent wrapper (18) overlap with each other along a longitudinal overlapping region; and an agent disposed between the first and second opposed edges of substantially transparent in at least a portion of the longitudinal overlapping region. The substantially transparent wrapper comprises an acetate ester of cellulose, and the agent comprises an ester of glycerol.
CIGAR GLUE AND METHOD OF USE
Cigar repair glues containing a quantity of insoluble fibers and methods of repairing cigars using such fiber-containing glues. Fibrous or matting cigar glues and/or adhesives may be prepared by mixing a quantity of glue or adhesive with a quantity of insoluble or substantially insoluble fiber, such as cellulose fibers. The method of using the fibrous or matting cigar glues and/or adhesives may include various steps, which may include: identifying an air leak or discontinuity in a cigar wrapper; preparing the fibrous or matting glue to encourage fiber mixing/suspension; and applying the prepared fibrous or matting glue to the desired location on the cigar.
PACKAGED INTERLEAVED CURVED EDGE CIGARETTE ROLLING PAPER
A pop-up dispenser is provided containing a stack of curved edge cigarette rolling papers. The papers are folded and interleaved within a box having a slot for dispensing one curved edge cigarette rolling paper at a time. A cover hinged to one edge of the box overlies the slot in the closed position. One paper is dispensed with its straight edge exiting the box first followed by a subsequent paper dispensed with its curved edge exiting the box first.
SOUND-GENERATING FLAVORING SHEET AND SMOKING ARTICLE INCLUDING THE SAME
A sound-generating flavoring sheet and a smoking article including the same are provided. The smoking article according to some embodiments of the present disclosure may include a smoking material portion, a filter portion, and a wrapper configured to wrap around at least a portion of the smoking material portion. Here, by a porous flavoring sheet that serves as a sound generating element being applied to at least a portion of the smoking material portion or the wrapper, an improved smoking experience can be provided to the smoker.
