Cleaning Coke Deposits from Process Equipment
A method for cleaning a coke deposit from an internal surface of a process equipment, comprising removing at least a portion of the coke deposit from the internal surface using a flexible pig comprising a plurality of bristles, without damaging a metal protective layer of the internal surface of the process equipment. A flexible pig for cleaning a coke deposit from an internal surface of a process equipment without damaging a metal protective layer of the internal surface, comprising a flexible body formed of a polymeric material, and a plurality of bristles partially encapsulated by the polymeric material of the flexible body.
GUIDE FOR A PIPELINE PIG
There is provided an expandable pipeline pig for a varying diameter pipeline having a pig body that carries two or more guides and one or more actuators. Each guide has a resilient body with a folding zone between an outer perimeter and a central area connected to the pig body, a series of support members spaced circumferentially about the resilient body within the folding zone, and a series of collapsing structures positioned between, and integrally formed with, adjacent support members. The actuators selectively release the guides from a reduced to an expanded mode. In the expanded mode the support members extend outward and the collapsing structures are expanded between the support members. In the reduced mode the support members are folded toward the pig body and the collapsing structures are collapsed to reduce a circumference of the resilient body outer perimeter. The support members are biased toward the expanded mode.
Cup for a pipeline inspection gauge
An in-line inspection tool for a pipeline comprises a body defining an axis, a sensor module coupled to the body, and a drive cup coupled to the body. The drive cup includes an outer surface with a plurality of axial channels, each of the axial channels including at least one bridge positioned therein that extends circumferentially across the channel.
PIPELINE SCRAPER ASSEMBLIES INCLUDING WEAR INDICATORS AND METHODS FOR USING THE SAME
A pipeline scraper assembly including a guide disc, and a sealing disc coupled to the guide disc, where the sealing disc defines a sealing disc outer circumference, and an initial wear indicator defining an initial radially-facing wear face that is positioned radially inward from the sealing disc outer circumference by an initial wear distance, and a secondary wear indicator defining a secondary radially-facing wear face that is positioned radially inward from the sealing disc outer circumference by a secondary wear distance, where the secondary wear distance is greater than the initial wear distance.
CLEAN HEAD, SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR USE IN CLEANING A FLUID CONDUIT
A communicator (1) for monitoring a worker in a work environment when carried or worn by said worker, the communicator (1) comprises: a transmitter (7) for communicating with abase station remote from the communicator (1); a location monitoring means (3) for monitoring the location of the communicator (1) and for continuously or intermittently sending to the base station worker location data associated with the respective communicator (1) and/or the worker wearing or carrying the communicator (1); a fall detection device (4) configured to detect a fall event of a worker carrying or wearing the communicator (1); an input means (5) operable by the worker carrying or wearing the communicator (1); and an alarm (8; 9) configured to activate if a fall of the worker has been detected by the fall detection device (4), where the communicator (1) is configured to transmit a fall warning to the base station using the transmitter (7) when the fall detection device (4) detects a fall event of a person carrying or wearing the communicator (1) unless the input means (5) is activated to prevent the transmission, wherein the alarm (8; 9) is configured to activate only if a fall warning has been or is being transmitted.
CLEANING MODULE FOR A PIPELINE INSPECTION GAUGE
A pipeline inspection gauge includes a cleaning module for a pipeline. The cleaning module includes a body portion, a suspension assembly, a plurality of brushes, and an anti-rotation device. The body portion includes a front cup and a rear cup, and the suspension assembly is coupled to the body portion between the front cup and the rear cup. The plurality of brushes include at least one forward brush that is axially aligned with at least one rear brush. The suspension assembly is configured to bias the at least one forward brush and the at least one rear brush radially outward and into engagement with an arc defined along the inner surface of the pipeline when the pipeline inspection gauge is in the pipeline. The anti-rotation device is coupled to the body portion and prevents rotation of the cleaning module when the cleaning module is used in a pipeline.
SMART SCRAPER
Provided is a pipeline scraper apparatus that may clean an inside surface of a pipeline. The apparatus may include a body, a water collection recess, a first and a second fluid port, a condenser coil, a lubricant storage tank, and a lubricant. The apparatus is configured to distribute lubricant onto the exterior surface of the body. In the apparatus, a condenser coil may be positioned within the water collection recess, and a lubricant storage tank may be positioned within the interior space. Further provided is a method for using a pipeline scraper apparatus that may include introducing the pipeline scraper apparatus into a pipeline to be treated.
PIPELINE PIGGING APPARATUS AND METHODS OF USE
An improved apparatus and methodologies of use for cleaning debris and contaminants from an interior surface or sidewall of a fluid-carrying conduit, such as a pipeline, are provided. More particularly, an apparatus and methodologies of use are provided, wherein the apparatus or ‘pipeline pig’ operates bi-directionally and comprises counter-rotating cleaning elements that are operative to enhance removal of debris and contaminants from the pipeline.
CLEANING SYSTEMS FOR BIOREACTORS
Systems and methods for cleaning a photobioreactor apparatus are described. Cleaning devices are described that include flexible members coupled to a propulsion member. The cleaning devices may be moved through tubes of the photobioreactor apparatus using the propulsion member. As the cleaning devices move, the flexible members may make contact with walls of the tubes, thereby cleaning the walls of the tubes. Cleaning devices are also contemplated that include particles with some rigidity that intermix with the fluid inside the tubes and clean the walls of the tubes as the particles contact the walls.
