Smoking article and method
A smoking article provides one or more sheets of material that can be rolled to a tube or shell or tube-like shape and then packaged in an unfilled or partially filled condition, one end portion of the tube or shell or tube-like shape being at least partially closed. In one embodiment, multiple sheets are rolled layers that can optionally be wrapped around a form casing (or pre-rolled inside) and then packaged with one end closed or partially closed. In another embodiment, a rod that assists in loading tobacco into the shell cavity is provided. In one embodiment, the plug takes the form of a mouthpiece.
MULTI-SEGMENT COMPONENT FOR AN AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE
There is provided a multi-segment component for an aerosol generating article, the multi-segment component including a combustible heat source; an aerosol-forming substrate downstream of the combustible heat source; a wrapper circumscribing the combustible heat source along at least part of a length of the combustible heat source; and an intumescent layer between the combustible heat source and the wrapper and circumscribing the combustible heat source, the intumescent layer being formed from an intumescent inorganic glue.
MULTI-SEGMENT COMPONENT FOR AN AEROSOL-GENERATING ARTICLE
There is provided a multi-segment component for an aerosol generating article, the multi-segment component including a combustible heat source having at least one shaped recess on an outer surface thereof; an aerosol-forming substrate downstream of the combustible heat source; a wrapper circumscribing the combustible heat source along at least part of a length of the combustible heat source; and an inorganic glue located between the combustible heat source and the wrapper, the inorganic glue at least partially filling the at least one shaped recess.
REDUCED HARM SMOKING ARTICLE
Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to a smoking article having a burn portion and a mouth portion. The burn portion includes a smoking rod filled with a smokeable filler material formed almost exclusively of cellulose material. The mouth portion includes either a filter portion with or without an interface or a tip with an interface. The mouth end may include an orthonasal property and the interface may store an additive.

COMPONENT FOR USE WITH A NON-COMBUSTIBLE AEROSOL PROVISION DEVICE
An aerosol-generating component for use with a non-combustible aerosol provision device includes a heating material in thermal contact with aerosol generating material, and the heating material includes a plurality of elongate portions or elements which extend through or around said aerosol generating material in a first direction. The elongate portions or elements of the heating material are substantially parallel. An article and a system are also described.
FLAVOR STICK, HEAT-NOT-BURN-TYPE FLAVOR INHALATION PRODUCT, AND METHOD FOR PRODUCING FLAVOR STICK
This flavor stick is provided with a flavor rod that is inserted into a heating chamber in a flavor inhalation device and is heated by an internal heater in the flavor inhalation device and a mouthpiece part that is connected to the rear end side of the flavor rod, in which the flavor rod is provided with a plurality of thin rods and a piece of outside wrapping paper that wounds the plurality of thin rods in a bundled state, each of the plurality of thin rods is provided with a piece of inside wrapping paper and a flavor source and an aerosol generation base material both arranged inside the piece of inside wrapping paper.
TOBACCO PRODUCT TIP
A tobacco product tip assembly. The tobacco product tip assembly includes a tip portion comprising a tip wall defining an inhalation chamber; the tip portion extending into a body portion comprising a body wall defining an insertion chamber, the insertion chamber being in communication with the inhalation chamber; the body wall comprising a mechanical fastener. A tobacco product assembly and a process for producing a tobacco product assembly are also included.
AEROSOL GENERATING ARTICLE HAVING MOUTHPIECE WITH SURFACE FORMATIONS AND REMOVABLE TIPPING WRAPPER PORTION
There is provided an aerosol generating article (10) comprising an aerosol generating substrate (12), a mouthpiece (14) in axial alignment with the aerosol generating substrate (12), and a tipping wrapper (20) wrapped around the mouthpiece (14) and at least a portion of the aerosol generating substrate (12). The mouthpiece (14) comprises a mouthpiece wrapper (30) circumscribing one or more mouthpiece segments (16). The tipping wrapper (20) comprises at least one weakening line (22) extending transversely around at least a portion of the tipping wrapper (20); an upstream wrapper portion (24) extending upstream from the at least one weakening line; and a removable tipping wrapper portion (26) extending downstream from the at least one weakening line (22). The mouthpiece wrapper (30) comprises at least one surface formation (28) underlying the removable tipping wrapper portion (26).
Glass tip with cross cut end for use with smokable substances contained within a wrap and method for manufacturing the tip
A method of manufacturing a tip for use with smokable substances. A tube is rotated while applying heat in a horizontal and vertical direction to an end of the tube. The heated end is squeezed with rollers and while a rotating t-shaped plug is inserted into the heated end of the tube. The rollers and t-shaped plug are removed and a scoring wheel is applied to the tube to create a scratch. Then heat is applied to the scratch. An end of the tube is clamped with a rotating chuck and water is sprayed at the scratch to create a thermal shock which separates the tube into two pieces. Heat is applied to a section of one end of the pieces. Tapered rollers are applied to the heated section to taper a diameter of the piece along the heated section.
