A filter cigarette includes a filter, a filter wrapper material enwrapping the filter, a tobacco rod, a tobacco rod wrapper material enwrapping the tobacco rod, and a mouthpiece wrapper material. The mouthpiece wrapper material enwraps at least a subregion of the filter wrapper material and has an upper surface which forms at least part of the surface of the filter cigarette. The filter cigarette has at least one fluorescent or phosphorescent substance in the region of the mouthpiece wrapper material below the upper surface of the mouthpiece wrapper material. The mouthpiece wrapper material has an opening in at least one region of the fluorescent or phosphorescent substance or is embodied as a translucent or transparent film, so that this at least one region is visible from the outside of the filter cigarette.

A method of constructing a cigar includes the providing of a plurality of frusto-conically shaped tubes, each tube being of a smokable material such as a spirally wrapped layer of tobacco material. The tubes are nested, one tube inside the other tube. The nested tubes are then attached to a mouthpiece having a socket that is internally threaded. The nested tubes and mouthpiece are packaged either filled with tobacco filler material, partially filled, or unfilled in a container.

A smoking article (1) comprising a rod (2) of smokable material with a mouth end (3) and a distal end (4) remote from the mouth end (3). The rod (2) comprises at least a first and a second segment (5, 6), wherein the first segment (5) has a distal end defining the distal end of the rod and the second segment (6) is disposed downstream of the first segment. The smoking article further comprises a mouthpiece (7), which is attached to the mouth end (3) of the rod (2), wherein the first segment (5) comprises a first tobacco blend with a first level of a smoke constituent inhibitor and the second segment (6) comprises a second tobacco blend with a second level of the smoke constituent inhibitor, wherein the second level of the smoke constituent inhibitor is lower than the first level.

Disclosed is an article for use with apparatus for heating smokable material to volatilize at least one component of the smokable material. The article includes a sheet including smokable material, and heating material that is heatable by penetration with a varying magnetic field to heat the smokable material. The sheet may be a planar sheet or a rolled sheet. Also disclosed is a system including the article and apparatus for heating smokable material to volatilize at least one component of the smokable material. The apparatus includes a heating zone for receiving at least a portion of the article, and a magnetic field generator for generating a varying magnetic field to be used in heating the smokable material when the portion of the article is in the heating zone.

An aerosol-generating article includes a first filter segment disposed at the upstream end of the aerosol-generating article, a second filter segment disposed downstream of the first filter segment, and a cavity segment disposed between the first filter segment and the second filter segment, and the cavity segment is filled with medium pulp and flavoring agent pulp.

Provided are a tobacco rod, an aerosol generating article including the same, and an aerosol generating apparatus used therewith. The tobacco rod includes: a first filter segment; a second filter segment that is located upstream of the first filter segment; and a cavity segment that is formed by the first filter segment and the second filter segment, in which the cavity segment is filled with a tobacco granule, and the tobacco granule includes tobacco fine particles, and susceptor fine particles heated by a variable magnetic field therein.

An aerosol-generating device includes a housing having a first end defining a mouthpiece, a second end, and a cavity defined between the first end and the second end. The device also includes a reservoir within the cavity. The reservoir is configured to store a liquid aerosol-forming substrate. The device also includes an atomizer and a valve within the mouthpiece of the housing. The valve has a first side and an second side. The second side of the valve includes a hydrophilic coating, a hydrophobic coating, or both a hydrophilic coating and a hydrophobic coating.

A tobacco product tip assembly. The tobacco product tip assembly includes a tip portion comprising a tip wall defining an inhalation chamber; the tip portion extending into a body portion comprising a body wall defining an insertion chamber, the insertion chamber being in communication with the inhalation chamber; the body wall comprising a mechanical fastener. An aerosol-generating article is provided, including: a substrate portion containing an aerosol-forming substrate; and a connect portion disposed at one end of the aerosol-generating article in direct abutment with the substrate portion, the connect portion having a tubular empty core structure, the substrate portion having a length of between 20 millimeters and 60 millimeters, and a diameter of between 4 millimeters and 7 millimeters, the aerosol-forming substrate including an aerosol former, and an amount of the aerosol former ranges between 6 percent and 20 percent by weight on a dry weight basis of the aerosol-forming substrate. An aerosol-generating system including the aerosol-generating article and an aerosol-generating device, and a method for manufacturing the aerosol-generating article, are also provided.

An aerosol generating article (10) comprises an aerosol generating substrate (12), a mouthpiece (14) in axial alignment with the aerosol generating substrate (12), and a tipping wrapper (20). The tipping wrapper (20) comprises a first weakening line (22) extending circumferentially around at least a portion of the tipping wrapper; a removable tipping wrapper portion (26) extending downstream from the at least one weakening line (22); an upstream tipping wrapper portion (24) extending upstream from the first weakening line; and a longitudinal edge (28) extending along the outer surface of the mouthpiece. The longitudinal edge (28) comprises a tipping wrapper projection (32) downstream of the at least one weakening line (22) and a first straight line portion (30) extending upstream of the tipping wrapper projection (32), wherein the tipping wrapper projection (32) comprises a first curved transition portion (38) connecting the first straight line portion (30) to the remainder of the tipping wrapper projection and wherein the first curved transition portion (30) follows a convex curve.
