Power tool chuck
A chuck including a chuck body that supports a plurality of jaws. An outer sleeve is axially fixed with respect to the chuck body. A nut is coupled to the outer sleeve, and the nut is movable axially and radially relative to the chuck body. The nut interacts with the jaws such that when the outer sleeve rotates, the nut moves axially and radially relative to the body.
Interface between a collet holder and a tool adapter
The invention relates to an interface between a collet holder and a tool adapter, said interface being simple in construction and in which the insertion of a tool adapter is possible in a simple manner even in confined spaces.
Replaceable tool holder
A replaceable tool holder includes a connector adapted to be engaged with and driven to rotate by a spindle, a tool chuck, of which an end is detachably engaged with the connector and another end is adapted to engage a tool, and an electronic component provided in a chamber inside the tool chuck. The connector is provided with a non-contact power transmission device. A passage is provided in the connector and the tool chuck, wherein a wire is disposed in the passage, transmitting electric power to serve the need of the electronic component. With such design, one connector can be used to connect tool chucks of different types or models. Therefore, a user could, as required, replace the connecting interface between the tool holder and the spindle or the connecting interface between the tool holder and the tool. Furthermore, the electronic component could be steadily supplied with electric power.

Adaptive Work-Stop
A work-stop assembly in a work-holding-collet is formed of a main work-stop body selectively mounted on the rear of the work-holding-collet and defining a longitudinal through passageway aligned with the collet mouth. First and second work-stop position adjusters allow coarse adjustment of the position of a work-stop element by one of the adjusters while the work-stop assembly is removed from the work-holding collet and allow more precise adjustment by the other adjuster after the work-stop assembly is mounted to the work-holding collet. One of the adjustments employs a slidable relationship between the adjuster and the passageway, and one of the adjusters carries the work-stop element for axial movement in the work-holding-collet to set an adjustable depth limit for a workpiece inserted from a workpiece-receiving mouth at the front of the work-holding-collet.
CHUCKING APPARATUS FOR CHUCKING AN OBJECT, IN PARTICULAR A TOOL, TOOL HOLDING FIXTURE AND MACHINE TOOL
A chucking apparatus for chucking an object contains a basic body which has a receiving space in which the object can be disposed. A chucking device is provided with a chucking nut which is screwable onto the basic body and by the chucking nut being screwed onto the basic body the object disposed in the receiving space can be chucked non-rotatably. The chucking nut has a plurality of roller bodies having a defined roller engagement structure. The roller bodies are held in an axially rotatable manner on a chucking body of the chucking nut and are arranged distributed in the circumferential direction on the chucking nut. The rollers by their roller engagement structure are in engagement with the basic body engagement structure of the basic body.
Lathe Error-Correcting Collet Chuck
An adjustable collet holder for use with a lathe is provided. The adjustable collet holder may include a set of hold down screws to hold it in place once adjusted. Adjustment may be achieved by adjusting multiple set screws to change both angular and concentricity orientations of a collet receiver relative to a body of the collet holder.
Cutter holder with reduced assembly tolerances
A cutter holder has a holder, a collet, and a nut. The holder has a first threaded portion having an external thread, a first abutting surface, a second abutting surface, at least one recess, and at least one sealing member. The at least one recess is recessed in the second abutting surface. The at least one sealing member is mounted in the at least one recess and partially protrudes from the second abutting surface. The nut has a second threaded portion having an internal thread, a third abutting surface, and a fourth abutting surface. The internal thread and the external thread are corresponding internal and external trapezoidal threads, respectively. The third abutting surface and the first abutting surface have a corresponding diameter with a clearance therebetween being less than 0.015 millimeter. The fourth abutting surface and the at least one sealing member are in an interference fit.
