Fiber product folding apparatus
A fiber product folding apparatus includes a first dashed-line cutting device used to form a plurality of first dashed lines on a first fiber product. Through control of the rotational speed of the first dashed-line roller, the interval between adjacent first dashed lines is adjusted. A first severing device receives the first fiber product with the first dashed lines by a predetermined length and cuts off the first fiber product. A second dashed-line cutting device is used to form a plurality of second dashed lines on a second fiber product. Through control of the rotational speed of the second dashed-line roller, the interval between adjacent second dashed lines can be adjusted. A second severing device receives the second fiber product that includes the second dashed lines by a predetermined length and cuts off the second fiber product. Finally, the first fiber product and the second fiber product are conducted to pass between a first folding roller and a second folding roller to proceed with folding. Since the dashed line interval of the fiber products is the size or length of a single sheet of fiber product, controlling the rotational speeds of the dashed-line rollers would allow for adjustment such that folding can be performed for multiple forms.
UNIT, APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR CUTTING A CHAIN OF ARTICLE
A cutting unit (8) configured to make chains of articles having a desired number of articles in each chain of articles.
Web material application systems and methods
A system for cutting a web material and applying the web material on a substrate. The system comprises a feed roll configured to advance a web material. The system includes an anvil roll configured to receive the web material from the feed roll and provide a section of web material having a defined length. The system includes a cutting element configured to cut the web material to form the section of web material. The anvil roll is configured such that the anvil roll surface advances at an anvil roll surface speed. The feed roll is configured to rotate at a first feed roll surface speed that is slower than the anvil roll surface speed and a second feed roll surface speed that is substantially the same as the anvil roll surface speed when the cutting element cuts the web material.
Method of Cutting a Running Web
A method of cutting a running web, including the steps of: training the web over a smooth peripheral surface of an anvil drum; rotating a blade that extends in an axial direction of the anvil drum about an axis of rotation that is parallel to the axis of the anvil drum; retaining the blade in a retracted position in which a cutting edge of the blade is spaced apart from the web on the anvil drum, the blade being retained against a biasing force of a pre-loading mechanism that biases the blade in a direction towards the axis of the anvil drum; and releasing the blade at a time calculated to assure that the blade will hit the web at a time when the blade passes through a plane that contains the axis of the anvil drum and the axis of rotation.
PERFORATOR LUBRICATION SYSTEM
Disclosed are apparatus, systems and methods of lubricating a knife which provides intermittently spaced cuts to a moving web, also referred to as perforations. In this manner, the apparatus, systems and methods are useful in both perforating a web and lubricating the knife used to form the perforations. the apparatus, systems and methods disclosed herein improve knife life, perforation quality and web handling.
Fiberglass cutting device with yoke-supported adjustable roller
The disclosed fiberglass cutting device with yoke-supported adjustable roller is a device, or “gun,” with on-the-fly—during operation adjustment of the spacing between the anvil roller and cutter. This adjustability is accomplished using only a single tension-adjusting knob located to one side of the anvil roller. This is superior to the prior art that required, at a minimum, two tension-adjusting knobs—one for each side of the anvil roller. To solve this problem, the fiberglass cutting device with yoke-supported adjustable roller supports the supports the anvil roller on both ends using a yoke. The position of the yoke is controlled by a single tension-adjustment knob that moves both arms of the yoke, thus maintaining the anvil roller in a position parallel to the cutting roller. The use of the yoke also avoids only supporting the anvil roller at a single end, which creates an unstable cantilevered-roller.
Cutting device for cutting labels from a web of labelling material
A cutting device for cutting labels from a web of labelling material. The cutting device includes a first member rotatable having a blade and rotatable about a first axis, a second member rotatable about a second axis, and a cutting station. The second rotary member having a receiving portion to receive the blade, advancing the receiving portion around the second axis, and supporting the web. At the cutting station, the blade engages the receiving portion to cut the web covering one at a time the receiving portion. The second rotary member includes a first portion extending at a first distance from the second axis and comprising the receiving portion, and a second portion angularly spaced from the first portion and extending at a second distance from the second axis. The blade faces the first angular portion and the second angular portion alternately to one another.
DEVICE FOR PRODUCING BOOK COVERS, BOX LIDS OR GAME BOARDS
The invention relates to a device for producing book cases, box lids or game boards with a cutting mechanism, which is arranged in the region of the blank feed and serves for cutting off the blank corners, wherein each tool pair of cutting cylinder and counterpressure cylinder is accommodated in a common bearing block and the bearing arrangement of the cutting cylinder has two mutually spaced eccentric bushes and a drive element arranged between the eccentric bushes.

The use of the yoke also avoids only supporting the anvil roller at a single end, which creates an unstable cantilevered-roller.
Roller mounting arrangements
The invention relates to an apparatus comprising a pair of rollers (2) with a nip and having respective axes thereof in a common plane therebetween, first and second roller mounting arrangements (8) at respective opposite ends of said pair (2), said arrangements having a hinging system (26, 30) at one side of said common plane and whereby one of the pair of rollers (2) can be turned relative to the other. The invention also relates to an associated method.
