Smoking article and mouthpiece therefor
The invention relates to a smoking article (1) comprising a smoking article rod portion (2) having a recess (13) and a mouthpiece (81, 91, 101) attachable to the smoking article rod portion. The mouthpiece includes an elongate cylindrical element (20) arranged to be inserted into the recess by a user. The cylindrical element comprises an outer surface having at least one circumferentially extending raised area (83, 103), and the at least one circumferentially extending raised area is configured to engage with an inner surface of the recess to prevent or restrict air flow between the inner surface of the recess and an outer surface of the mouth piece.
Smoking article with manually releasable odorant
A smoking article has an outer surface and a plurality of frangible microcapsules provided on the outer surface, wherein the microcapsules are capable of being manually ruptured by a consumer to release an odorant encapsulated therein. The smoking article preferably comprises a wrapped tobacco rod; and a filter attached to the wrapped tobacco rod by tipping paper, a mouth end portion of which is over tipped with a band or strip of Peel and Sniff microcapsules and/or a band or strip of Scratch and Sniff microcapsules.
CIGARETTE FILTER ENHANCER APPARATUS
An apparatus for attachment to a cigarette includes a cylindrical element composed of filter material and having a distal end and a proximal end, an opening on the distal end, the opening configured for accepting and releasably attaching to a filter end of the cigarette, a smoke filter located at the proximal end, the smoke filter configured for filtering smoke emanating from the cigarette, and, a flavor capsule located within the smoke filter, the flavor capsule configured for adding flavor to the smoke emanating from the cigarette. Also disclosed is a system for smoking that includes a cigarette having a filter end and the apparatus for attachment to the cigarette described above.
MULTI-SEGMENT FILTER ELEMENT INCLUDING SMOKE-ALTERING FLAVORANT
The invention provides an article, such as an aerosol-generating smoking article that does not combust tobacco, that includes a tobacco rod and a filter element connected to the tobacco rod, the filter element having an end proximal to the tobacco rod and an end distal from the tobacco rod, wherein the filter element includes a first section of filter material and a second section of filter material, and further includes a smoke-altering flavorant.
SMOKE GENERATION PRODUCT AND MANUFACTURING METHOD THEREFOR
A smoke generation product and a manufacturing method therefor, which relate to the technical field of tobaccos. The smoke generation product comprises a filter tip base body, a second connecting component, and an aroma generation portion. The filter tip base body comprises a first connecting component, and comprises a cooling portion and a filtering portion that are sequentially disposed in a smoking direction. The filtering portion and the cooling portion are connected by means of the first connecting component. A filtering passage and a cooling passage are in mutual communication. The aroma generation portion is connected to the filter tip base body by means of the second connecting portion, and the aroma generation portion is configured to release smoke by means of heating and make the smoke enter the cooling passage.
MULTI-PHASE DELIVERY COMPOSITIONS AND PRODUCTS INCORPORATING SUCH COMPOSITIONS
The present disclosure relates to compositions that are useful in the delivery of various materials. In particular, the compositions comprise a suspension wherein an internal phase material is surrounded by an external phase material. The internal phase specifically can be a hydrophilic material, and the external phase specifically can be a hydrophobic material. The materials are combined so that the internal phase is substantially encapsulated by the external phase such that release can be controlled in relation to osmotic pressure differentials. The suspension can be combined with a carrier, and various systems and products can be formed with the suspension and optional carrier, such as oral strips, spray delivery systems, smokeless tobacco products, aerosol delivery devices, cigarettes, and packaging.
SMOKING ARTICLE FILTER WITH FLAVORANT DELIVERY SYSTEM
A breakable capsule such as a seamless breakable capsule useful in a smoking article or a smokeless tobacco product includes an outer shell formed of a cross-linked agar matrix including at least one filler, and an inner core surrounded by the outer shell which comprises a liquid or gel based composition of a flavorant and/or non-flavorant. The cross-linked agar matrix is reinforced with carboxymethyl cellulose that is dispersed throughout the agar matrix so as to fill empty spaces in the agar matrix and inhibit the composition from passing through the empty spaces of the agar matrix.
FILTER FOR AN E-VAPING DEVICE, E-VAPING DEVICE WITH THE FILTER, AND METHOD OF FORMING THE FILTER
The filter includes a contained filter material with one or more portions of a filter material. The one or more portions define interstices running through a longitudinal length of the contained filter material. The interstices allow an airflow to pass through the longitudinal length of the contained filter material. A consumable substance is infused within the filter material. The consumable substance includes nicotine, a flavorant, a pre-vapor formulation, a sub-combination thereof, or a combination thereof.
SMOKE AND VAPOR FILTER DEVICE
A reusable smoke and vapor filter device having particular application to be held against the lips of a smoker to receive smoke or vapor that is blown into the device from the lungs of the smoker. The filter device includes a replaceable filter casing within which a disposable compound filter is carried by which a majority of the smoke or vapor is trapped and absorbed. By virtue of the foregoing, the presence of smoke or vapor that would otherwise be exhausted into the atmosphere is avoided. The filter casing can be removed from the reusable filter device and replaced with a new filter casing having a new compound filter without having to discard the entire device. The compound filter carried by the filter casing includes activated carbon granules to absorb the smoke and vapor and an oil soaked material having a fragrance to deodorize the smoke or vapor.
