FILTER FOR CIGARETTES AND CIGARETTE INCLUDING THE SAME
Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a filter for cigarettes and a method of preparing the filter, and include a paper filter for cigarettes using paper and a cigarette including the paper filter. The filter for cigarettes provides a high level of satisfaction in smoking through high granular seating stability and eliminates a burnt taste.
AEROSOL-GENERATING DEVICE AND MEDIUM RECEIVING ROD
The aerosol-generating device includes a receiver for receiving a medium receiving rod in a replaceable manner, an atomizer that generates aerosol, and a power supply for transmitting power required to heat the atomizer, wherein the aerosol generated in the atomizer passes through the medium receiving rod received in the receiver such that a medium is transferred from medium pulp included in a filter segment of the medium receiving rod by heat of the aerosol.
Amphiphile-modified sorbents in smoking articles and filters
Smoking articles which involve the use of amphiphile-modified sorbents are disclosed. The amphiphile-modified sorbent has at least one amphiphilic compound bound to an inorganic molecular sieve substrate. The amphiphile-modified sorbent selectively removes certain constituents from cigarette smoke, while maintaining other constituents, such as those that contribute to flavor. Methods for making cigarette filters and smoking articles using amphiphile-modified sorbents, as well as methods for smoking a cigarette containing an amphiphile-modified sorbent, are also provided.
SMOKING TIP
The present invention relates to a smoking tip, a filter sheet for forming a smoking tip, and a booklet for forming smoking tips. In one aspect of the present invention, a filter sheet comprises: a sheet having a fabric layer thereon: wherein the sheet is rollable to form a smoking tip, and the fabric layer, when the sheet is rolled, forms a filter for the smoking tip. In another aspect of the present invention, a booklet comprises: a plurality of sheets, each sheet having a fabric layer thereon; wherein each sheet is rollable to form a smoking tip, and the fabric layer, when the sheet is rolled, forms a filter for the smoking tip. In another aspect of the present invention, a smoking tip comprises: a roll with a non-woven fabric material therein, wherein the non-woven fabric material forms a filter for the smoking tip.
Magnetic Cigarette Filters And Related Methods
A magnetic filter device for use with a cigarette, the magnetic filter device capable of being gathered from loose or uneven ground surfaces via a magnet. The magnetic filter device may comprise a filter element, a wrapping element, and a magnetic element e.g., a ferrous metal), the magnetic element being a layer between the filter and the rolling paper, integrated into the rolling paper, or integrated or inserted into the material of the filter.
Filter segment including a substrate loaded with a smoke-modifying agent
A filter segment for use in a filter of a smoking article includes a substrate loaded with at least one smoke-modifying agent. The substrate is located within the body of the filter segment and is formed from filter plug wrap having an air permeability ranging from about 6,000 Coresta units to about 24,000 Coresta units.
ULTRA-LOW PRESSURE DROP FLUID FILTERS AND RELATED METHODS
A method may comprise: sintering a particulate mixture comprising binder particles at about 5% to about 75% by weight of the particulate mixture and fugitive particles at about 25% to about 90% by weight of the particulate mixture, thereby forming a porous mass; and substantially removing the fugitive particles from the porous mass, thereby forming an ultra-low pressure drop (ULPD) porous mass with fugitive particles at 0% to about 5% by weight of the ULPD porous mass.
Filtering Apparatus For A Cigarette
A filtering apparatus for filtering particles out of cigarette smoke includes a tube having a smoking end and a suction end, and a perimeter wall which is gas impermeable. A first filter is coupled to and is positioned within the tube adjacent to the suction end. The first filter comprises a first filtering substance that is gas permeable and is configured for capturing particulates in smoke when the smoke flows through the first filtering substance. The first filtering substance comprises cotton wool. A second filter is coupled to and is positioned within the tube adjacent to the first filter. The second filter comprises a second filtering substance that is gas permeable and is configured for capturing particulates in the smoke when the smoke flows through the second filtering substance. The second filtering substance comprises one of coconut activated carbon and bamboo activated carbon.
FILLER ELEMENT, FILLER ELEMENT MANUFACTURING METHOD, AND FILLER ELEMENT MANUFACTURING DEVICE
This filler element is used in a flavor inhaler, and comprises: a folded part in which one sheet composed of a nonwoven fabric has been folded in the width direction intersecting the longitudinal direction thereof, and the diameter thereof has been reduced to a size not greater than the diameter of the filler element; and wrapping paper that is wrapped on the folded part. A section of the folded part in the circumferential direction thereof has an opening that is open along the axial direction of the folded part, and a capsule encapsulating an additive is placed on the interior of the folded part via the opening.
MOUTHPIECE FOR INHALING AN AEROSOL WITH FLAVOR GRANULES
A mouthpiece for inhaling an aerosol is provided, the mouthpiece including: an airflow path for an aerosol, the airflow path leading through the mouthpiece; and flavor granules arranged in the airflow path, the flavor granules containing at least one flavoring agent for flavoring the aerosol, the flavor granules being configured to be movable by a user's puff, the flavor granules including a porous matrix material including the at least one flavoring agent, and the porous matrix material having a density of between 0.4 and 2 g/cm.sup.3.
