AIR CUSHION INFLATION MACHINE
A machine includes an inflation arrangement, a sealing arrangement, and a tensioning device. The inflation arrangement provides air at a first pressure to inflate a first web of a first type of inflatable material, provides air at a second pressure to inflate a second web of a second type of inflatable material, receives the first and second webs, and aligns the first and second webs on the machine. The first pressure is different from the second pressure. The sealing arrangement seals the first and second types of inflatable material. The tensioning device provides a first tensioning force to the first web as the first web moves between the inflation and sealing arrangements and provides a second tensioning force to the second web as the second web moves between the inflation and sealing arrangements. The first tensioning force is different from the second tensioning force.
POLYETHYLENE POUCH AND THE FABRICATION METHOD THEREOF
The present disclosure is concerned with a method of forming a seal with a polyethylene based film structure. The polyethylene based film structure has at least one layer formed with an oriented polyethylene having a predetermined melting temperature (T.sub.m). A conductive heat sealing device provides heat to form the seal, where a first sealing bar of the conductive heat sealing device operates at a first operating temperature of at least 10 degrees Celsius (° C.) below the T.sub.m of the oriented polyethylene in the polyethylene based film structure and a second sealing bar of the conductive heat sealing device operates at a second operating temperature of at least 15° C. higher than the operating temperature of the first sealing bar. The seal formed with the polyethylene based film structure retains at least 99 percent of its original surface area prior to forming the seal.
APPARATUS FOR FORMING SEALING PORTION FOR FOLDING SECONDARY BATTERY POUCH
A disclosed apparatus for forming a sealing portion for folding a secondary battery pouch includes: first and second pressing bars disposed to face each other with a sealing portion for folding therebetween to apply pressure for flattening the sealing portion for folding that is defined by the edge of a secondary battery pouch for sealing an electrode assembly accommodated therein; first and second pressing surfaces provided at the first and second pressing bars, respectively, and disposed to face the sealing portion for folding; and a forming protrusion formed on the first pressing surface and configured to form a folding guide line on the sealing portion for folding by pressure applied by the first and second pressing bars.
HEATER FOR SEALING PROCESS OF SECONDARY BATTERY
A disclosed heater for a sealing process of a secondary battery includes: a sealing bar heating and pressing a pouch foil to be sealed; a plurality of sub-heating unit longitudinally disposed inside the sealing bar to respectively independently supply heat to a plurality of sections separated in the longitudinal direction of the sealing bar; temperature sensing units disposed inside the sealing bar and sensing temperature at positions on the surfaces being in contact with the pouch foil; and a control unit controlling heating temperature of the plurality of sub-heating units on the basis of the temperature sensed by the temperature sensing units.
Processing apparatus for elongated structure and manufacturing method for elongated structure
An apparatus for processing an elongated structure includes a mold within which an uncross-linked rubber material is placed, at least one heating unit configured to heat the mold, and a pressure device configured to press the rubber material using the mold heated by the heating unit to promote shaping the rubber material by the mold while proceeding the cross-linking of the rubber material. The heating unit includes a central heating device configured to heat a longitudinal central portion of the mold, multiple cooling devices configured to cool two longitudinal end portions of the mold, multiple intermediate heating devices configured to heat two intermediate portions between the longitudinal central portion and the longitudinal end portions of the mold, heat shield plates disposed between the central heating device and the intermediate heating devices, and heat shield plates disposed between the cooling devices and the intermediate heating devices.
