A device for determining the quality of a moving corrugated board web with at least one cover web and at least one corrugated web. A quality determination sensor arrangement, which includes a first quality determination sensor unit facing the corrugated board web, is provided for determining the quality of the corrugated board web on its first side, and a second quality determination sensor unit, facing a second side of the corrugated board web opposite the first side, for determining the quality of the corrugated board web on its second side. The device includes an evaluation unit that is in signal contact with the quality determination sensor arrangement and evaluates signals from the quality determination sensor arrangement related to the quality of the corrugated board web.

The exit end of the conveyor system for conveying the single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web is provided with a clamping and cutting unit and a movable cardboard storage carriage unit is provided under the conveyor system for conveying the single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web, under which conveyor system a conveyor belt system is provided in the bridge, and in the bridge an opening is provided, under which a waste cardboard collecting carriage is provided. The movable cardboard storage carriage unit stores the cardboard by means of cardboard storage rolls, which retain the single-sided laminated corrugated cardboard web flat on the bridge. In the event that a splicing defect is detected, the defective piece is cut out by the clamping and cutting unit and ejected by the conveyor belt system to the waste cardboard collecting carriage through the opening. Hence, it follows that productivity is improved.

The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for the production of a corrugated cardboard product. The apparatus comprises a first single facer and a second single facer which are provided in each case with a press-down belt and with a first and a second grooving roller respectively. The first and the second grooving roller are designed for embossing a wave profile onto a first and a second paper web respectively. The press-down belts, together with the respective grooving rollers, for connecting the first and the second paper webs in each case to a non-corrugated web for the production of a first and a second single-flute corrugated cardboard web respectively. The first single facer is equipped with a first oblique guide roller, the axis of rotation of which is inclined at a vertical inclination angle between side margins of the first paper web.

The pivoting structure supports two guide rollers of a continuous flexible member which applies pressure against a corrugating roller. An actuator system controls the traction and position of the continuous flexible member.

The single facer further includes a pivoting structure, pivoted to the load-bearing frame about a pivoting axis and including two pivoting arms supporting two guide rollers of a continuous flexible member. Two actuators raise and lower the pivoting arms and the guide rollers. A hinge system allows to keep the pivoting structure cantilevered to replace the continuous flexible member.
