Embossed multi-ply tissue product

Embossed, multi-ply tissue products having consumer preferred physical properties and an aesthetically pleasing appearance such as a first tissue ply having a molded topographical pattern and a first embossed pattern comprising a plurality of embossed elements disposed thereon and a second tissue ply having a molded topographical pattern and a second embossed pattern comprising a plurality of dot emboss elements disposed thereon. The multi-ply tissue products generally have improved sheet bulk, such as a sheet bulk greater than about 15 cubic centimeters per gram (cc/g), and improved softness, such as an Average TS7 less than about 12.0 and more preferably less than about 11.0, such as from about 10.0 to about 12.0. The foregoing Average TS7 values may be obtained at a product geometric mean tensile strength (GMT) from about 800 to about 1,200 g/3.

Embossed multi-ply tissue product

Disclosed are multi-ply embossed tissue products having improved softness, strength, embossment clarity and/or embossment height compared to prior art embossed tissue products. The multi-ply tissue products may comprise an embossed tissue ply having a basis weight less than about 25 grams per square meter (gsm) and relatively deep embossments, such as an embossment height from about 500 to about 1,000 ?m and relatively narrow bottom portions compared to top portions. The combination of these elements provides an aesthetically pleasing and well-defined embossment, while improving important tissue product properties such as sheet and roll bulk and softness.

Non-continuously laminated structures of thermoplastic films with differing material compositions and functional material properties

A non-continuously laminated structure of thermoplastic films comprises thermoplastic films with differing material compositions and differing functional benefits. In particular, one or more embodiments comprise thermoplastic films that are co-extruded separately and then combined together by a post-extrusion bonding process. The differing composition of the various films of the non-continuously laminated structure of thermoplastic films and the post-extrusion bonding process, provide the structures with the functional benefits of the individual films.

PATTERNED TISSUE PRODUCT

The present invention provides a patterned tissue product comprising a first surface with a first and a second pattern disposed thereon, the first pattern comprising a curvilinear design element having a first maximum segment length and the second pattern comprising a curvilinear design element having a second maximum segment length wherein the second maximum segment length is from about 50 to about 150 percent of the first maximum segment length.

Multi-layered bags with discrete non-continuous lamination

Multi-layer bags may be formed to include first and second sidewalls joined along a first side edge, an opposite second side edge, and a closed bottom edge. The first and second layers may be non-continuously laminated together in discrete sections to include bonded regions in which the layers are bonded and unbonded regions in which the layers are not bonded. Such a bag may be described as a bag-in-a-bag type configuration in which the inner bag is non-continuously bonded to the outer bag. The inventors have surprisingly found that such configurations of non-continuous bonding provides increased and unexpected strength properties to the multi-layer films and bags.

CONFORMABLE, RECYCLABLE SHIPPING CONTAINER, MACHINE AND METHOD

The present disclosure is directed to a shipping container with a corrugated medium that lines an interior pocket of the shipping container as well devices and components (e.g., corrugating rollers, corrugating machines, scoring rollers, and scoring machines) that are utilized to manufacture the shipping containers. The corrugated medium has flutes that cushion, support, and protect a product that is shipped within the shipping container. The corrugated medium may include a first portion with first flutes and a second portion with second flutes that are offset relative to the first flutes. The offset first flutes and second flutes results in peaks of the first flutes nesting within valleys of the second flutes, and peaks of the second flutes nesting within valleys of the first flutes.

Embossed tissue

The embossed multi-ply tissue products have improved bulk, softness, strength, embossment clarity and/or embossment height. The multi-ply tissue products comprise a first tissue ply having a plurality of embossments arranged in an open first pattern such as open, continuous line elements, which may be substantially oriented in the cross-machine direction (CD). The second ply of the multi-ply tissue product have a plurality of micro-embossments disposed in a second pattern. The first and second embossing patterns are such that when the first and second plies are joined to form the product the first and second patterns are not in registration with one another.
