Method and device for partial maintenance of a hydraulic circuit
The invention relates to a method of cleaning a fluid circuit in an inkjet printer that comprises a print head connected to the fluid circuit through an umbilical (19), and also comprises means (50) of recovering fluid from the print head (1), this method comprising at least sending solvent to said fluid recovery means (50), without making this solvent flow in the umbilical or in the print head.
Head maintenance device, liquid discharge apparatus, and printer
A head maintenance device includes a cap configured to cap a nozzle surface of a head configured to discharge a liquid, a wiper configured to wipe the nozzle surface of the head, a holder configured to vertically movably hold the cap and the wiper to a height at which the cap and the wiper bite into the absorbing member, and a cleaner configured to move relative to the cap and the wiper, the cleaner comprising an absorbing member configured to contact the cap and the wiper.
APPLYING A CAP
A method of applying a cap to a printhead may comprise selectively applying an immiscible fluid to a surface of a printhead in which the immiscible fluid caps a number of nozzles on a number of nozzles defined within the printhead. A printhead may comprise a layer of immiscible fluid in which the immiscible fluid is selectively applied to the surface of the printhead and in which the immiscible fluid caps a number of nozzles defined within the printhead. A printer may comprise a printhead comprising a number of nozzles, an immiscible fluid applicator, and a processor to instruction the immiscible fluid applicator to apply a layer of immiscible fluid to the surface of the printhead.
HEAD CAP AND INKJET RECORDING APPARATUS
A head cap covers an inkjet type recording head. The head cap includes a cap housing and a cap cover. The cap housing has a liquid storage space opened upward. The cap cover is provided along an open end of the cap housing. The cap cover has an opening through which the recording head enters and leaves.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND MAINTENANCE METHOD
A technique for suppressing ejection failure at an ejection port, which is caused by reaction of reaction liquid and ink during a wiping operation, is to be provided. Before the ejection port surface, on which the first ejection port array that is capable of ejecting the ink and the second ejection port array that is capable of ejecting the reaction liquid which reacts with the ink are formed, is wiped by the maintenance unit that is capable of receiving the ink and the reaction liquid, ink that does not contribute to printing is ejected to an area of the maintenance unit between an area abutted by the first ejection port array during the wiping and an area abutted by the second ejection port array during the wiping.
INKJET PRINTING APPARATUS
Provided is an inkjet printing apparatus for printing an aqueous ink on a fabric containing: a printing device for ejecting the aqueous ink onto the fabric; a coating device located downstream of the printing device for applying a cleaning liquid containing no eluate from the fabric to the fabric; and a removing device located downstream of the coating device of the cleaning liquid for removing the cleaning liquid.
PRINTING APPARATUS
A printing apparatus includes a transport belt which transports a printing medium in a transport direction; a cleaning tank which stores cleaning liquid; and a first cleaning roller and a second cleaning roller which are dipped in the cleaning liquid and are rotatably in contact with the transport belt. The first cleaning roller and the second cleaning roller include spiral brushes which generate water flow for directing the cleaning liquid in one direction by the rotation of the first cleaning roller and the second cleaning roller.
Method and device for maintaining a nozzle print head
A print head of a continuous ink jet printer comprising: a cavity for the circulation of jets, delimited laterally by a 1.sup.st side wall and a 2.sup.nd side wall, both at least partially parallel to a direction of flow of the jets in the cavity, at least one nozzle for producing at least one ink jet in the cavity, at least one electrode for sorting drops or segments of one or several of the jets intended for printing from drops or segments that are not used for printing; an outlet slot, open onto the exterior of the cavity and allowing the exiting of the drops or segment of ink intended for printing, at least one gutter for recovering drops or segments not intended for printing, at least one spraying nozzle, arranged in the cavity, for projecting at least one cleaning fluid towards at least one inner portion of the cavity and a motor driving the at least one spraying nozzle in rotation about an axis (x), for example perpendicular to a direction of flow of the jets in the cavity; a supply circuit supplying at least the spraying nozzle with cleaning fluid.
LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MAINTAINING LIQUID DISCHARGE APPARATUS
The liquid discharge apparatus includes a liquid discharge head having nozzles formed therein, to discharge liquid from the nozzles and a cap to contact with or separate from the liquid discharge head to maintain the liquid discharge head. The liquid discharge head includes a common chamber connected to the nozzles, a liquid supply port provided at one end of the liquid discharge head in a longitudinal direction of the liquid discharge head to supply liquid to one end of the common chamber, and a liquid discharge port provided at another end of the liquid discharge head in the longitudinal direction to discharge liquid, which flows through the common chamber and is not discharged from the nozzles, from another end of the common chamber. The cap includes a drainage supply port to be connected with the liquid discharge port of the liquid discharge head with a connection path.
Liquid jetting device, liquid jetting head cleaning device, and liquid jetting head cleaning method
Provided are a liquid jetting device, a liquid jetting head cleaning device, and a liquid jetting head cleaning method, in which a nozzle surface is cleaned without a liquid infiltrating into a gap of a liquid jetting head having a gap between head modules adjacent to each other. After performing pressurization purging for pressurizing an inside of a liquid jetting head (32) that is the liquid jetting head (32), which jets a liquid from a nozzle (202) disposed on a nozzle surface (33), is formed by a plurality of head modules (200), and has a gap (G) between the head modules adjacent to each other, to discharge the liquid from the nozzle (202), a long wiping web (104) in a dry state abuts against the nozzle surface (33) of the liquid jetting head (32) at a pressing force of 0 kPa or more and 15 kPa or less, and the wiping web (104) is transported with respect to the liquid jetting head (32) in a web transporting direction to wipe the nozzle surface (33).
