RECORDING APPARATUS, METHOD, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
A recording apparatus includes a print head, a recovery unit, a type obtaining unit, a threshold obtaining unit, and a calculation unit. The print head forms an image by applying a recording material to a recording medium. The recovery unit performs a recovery operation for recovering an ejection state of the print head. The type obtaining unit obtains a type of the recording medium on which the image is to be recorded. The threshold obtaining unit obtains a threshold for performing the recovery operation corresponding to the obtained type of the recording medium. The calculation unit calculates a count-up value by adding, in response to recording on the recording medium, an addition value set for each of types of recording media. The recovery operation is performed in a case where the count-up value calculated by the calculation unit exceeds the threshold obtained by the threshold obtaining unit.
Liquid ejecting apparatus and maintenance method for liquid ejecting apparatus
A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a liquid ejecting head having a nozzle surface and configured to eject liquid from a nozzle formed at the nozzle surface, a wiper configured to perform wiping with respect to the nozzle surface, a condition detection unit configured to detect the inner condition of a pressure chamber communicating with the nozzle, and a control unit configured to change wiping conditions for wiping the nozzle surface by using the wiper in accordance with the detected inner condition of the pressure chamber.
Maintenance Method Of Liquid Discharging Apparatus
A maintenance method for a liquid discharging apparatus including a liquid discharging head. The liquid discharging apparatus executes a printing process including a discharging process in which the liquid discharged from the liquid discharging head lands on the medium, and a maintenance process in which the liquid is discarded from the liquid discharging head. The maintenance method includes: counting a unit period number, which is the number of ended unit periods among a plurality of unit periods obtained by dividing a period required for the printing process in accordance with a first condition; executing the maintenance process when the unit period number reaches a defined number; acquiring viscosity information related to viscosity of the liquid inside the liquid discharging head; and decreasing the unit period number when the viscosity information satisfies a second condition.
Liquid ejection apparatus
A liquid ejection apparatus includes a liquid ejection head having a nozzle face in which a plurality of nozzles is opened, the plurality of nozzles ejecting liquid as a droplet, a cleaning unit configured to clean the nozzle face, an information receiving unit configured to receive input of a cleaning information that is information related to a frequency of cleaning of the nozzle face by the cleaning unit, and a controller configured to instruct the cleaning unit to perform the cleaning in accordance with the cleaning information.
Printing apparatus, control method thereof, and storage medium
In a case where a second page is printed subsequent to a first page, in a case where a predetermined condition concerning recovery operation is met, a control unit in a printing apparatus causes, after completion of printing of the first page and prior to start of the printing of the second page, a recovery unit to perform the recovery operation after causing a cutting unit to cut a printing medium. In a case where the predetermined condition is not met, the control unit causes a printing unit to start the printing of the second page without causing the cutting unit to cut the printing medium after the completion of the printing of the first page.
LIQUID EJECTING DEVICE
A liquid ejecting device includes a liquid ejecting portion configured to eject liquid from a nozzle, a closed space forming portion having a porous member inside thereof, and configured to form a closed space in which the nozzle opens, an discharging portion configured to discharge the liquid in the closed space forming portion, and a control portion configured to, when an amount of the liquid ejected from the liquid ejecting portion into the closed space forming portion reaches a prescribed value, cause the discharging portion to discharge the liquid in the closed space forming portion, wherein the control unit decreases the prescribed value as the number of stops increases, the number of stops being the number of times the liquid ejecting portion is stopped for a prescribed time or longer at a position other than a closed position where the closed space is formed.
Inkjet printing apparatus and controlling method
An inkjet printing apparatus includes a printing unit having ejection parts, each configured to eject ink by using a piezoelectric element to be displaced in response to a change in electric potential. The inkjet printing apparatus also includes a circulation unit, a determination unit, and a control unit. The circulation unit executes ink circulation in a circulation path inclusive of the printing unit. The determination unit ejects the ink from each ejection part, detects residual vibration generated at an ejection part due to ink ejection, and determines an ejection state of ink ejection at the ejection part based on the detected residual vibration. The inkjet printing apparatus determines a printing state of ink ejection in the printing unit based on the ejection state. The control unit causes the determination unit not to make the ejection state determination in parallel with causing the circulation unit to execute the ink circulation.
MAINTENANCE SCHEDULING
Examples describe maintenance scheduling of printhead in an image forming device by monitoring image data processed by an image forming device, determining that the image data processed by the image forming device comprises color image data, and generating a firing signal based on a mode of the image forming device.
RECORDING DEVICE AND RECORDING METHOD
A recording device, when recording is performed on a predetermined type target recording medium stored in a storage unit, drives a surface potential adjustment unit so that a surface potential is a positive potential within a predetermined range. By configuring such a recording device, it is possible to suppress adhesion of ink to an ejecting unit, and occurrence of an ink ejection failure can be suppressed.
Printing device including controller provided with manual maintenance mode and automated maintenance mode as control mode for controlling maintenance portion
A printing device includes a printing portion, a maintenance portion, and a controller. The printing portion includes an ejection head and prints using ink. The maintenance portion performs maintenance on the ejection head. The maintenance involves consumption of ink. The controller has a manual maintenance mode and an automated maintenance mode. In the manual maintenance mode, the controller executes a maintenance using the maintenance portion in response to a maintenance command signal based on a manual operation. In the automated maintenance mode, the controller automatically executes a maintenance using the maintenance portion in response to a maintenance execution condition being met. Based on control information acquired, the controller switches an operating mode of the printing device from a first operating mode of selectively executing the manual maintenance mode and the automated maintenance mode to a second operation mode of executing the automated maintenance mode without executing the manual maintenance mode.
