LIQUID EJECTION DEVICE AND CLEANING METHOD
When a liquid ejection head and a first wiping unit are moved relatively to clean a surface, the first wiping unit making a first wiping member travel in a first direction, a direction opposite to the first direction is used as a moving direction of the head with reference to the first wiping member in relative moving therebetween. When the head and a second wiping unit are moved relatively to each other to clean the surface, the second wiping unit making a second wiping member travel in a second direction having a component of a direction opposite to the first direction, a direction opposite to the second direction is used as a moving direction of the head with reference to the second wiping member in relative moving therebetween to move the second wiping unit and the head relatively to clean the same area on the surface.
PRINTING APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR THE APPARATUS
A printing apparatus includes a printing unit that includes an ejection port surface provided with ejection ports through which liquid is ejected, a wiping unit, a depressurizing unit, and detection unit. The wiping unit has an opening and wipes the ejection port surface by moving in a predetermined direction while the opening abuts against the ejection port surface. The depressurizing unit applies negative pressure to the ejection port surface via the opening. The detection unit detects an ejection state of the ejection ports. After driving the depressurizing unit when the opening abuts against the ejection port surface, the suction operation sucks the liquid from the ejection ports while moving the wiping unit. The suction operation is performed from a first ejection port detected as an ejection-failed ejection port by the detection unit under a suction condition different from suction conditions of the ejection ports other than the first ejection port.
Liquid jetting device, liquid jetting head cleaning device, and liquid jetting head cleaning method
Provided are a liquid jetting device, a liquid jetting head cleaning device, and a liquid jetting head cleaning method, in which a nozzle surface is cleaned without a liquid infiltrating into a gap of a liquid jetting head having a gap between head modules adjacent to each other. After performing pressurization purging for pressurizing an inside of a liquid jetting head (32) that is the liquid jetting head (32), which jets a liquid from a nozzle (202) disposed on a nozzle surface (33), is formed by a plurality of head modules (200), and has a gap (G) between the head modules adjacent to each other, to discharge the liquid from the nozzle (202), a long wiping web (104) in a dry state abuts against the nozzle surface (33) of the liquid jetting head (32) at a pressing force of 0 kPa or more and 15 kPa or less, and the wiping web (104) is transported with respect to the liquid jetting head (32) in a web transporting direction to wipe the nozzle surface (33).
Printing apparatus and control method thereof
According to the present invention, a printing apparatus is provided, the printing apparatus comprises a printhead including an ink discharge surface on which plurality of orifices for discharging ink are arranged and configured to print an image, a cap configured to cap the ink discharge surface, and a supply unit configured to selectively supply one of a plurality of types of liquids into the cap.
LIQUID EJECTING DEVICE
A liquid ejecting device includes: a printing unit including a liquid ejecting head configured to eject a liquid to a medium and a head holder configured to form an air cooling path, and a cooling mechanism configured to cause air in the air cooling path to flow therethrough to air-cool the liquid ejecting head, wherein the printing unit is provided so as to be movable with respect to a transport path along which the medium is transported, the cooling mechanism includes a first air hole and a second air hole that are configured to be coupled to the air cooling path, and the air cooling path is coupled to one of the first air hole and the second air hole corresponding to a position of the printing unit.
Printing apparatus
A printing apparatus includes a print head provided with a discharge port that discharges liquid and a pressure chamber filled with the liquid to be discharged from the discharge port, and configured to perform a printing operation by discharging the liquid from the discharge port based on print data, includes a circulation unit that performs circulation of the liquid in a circulation passage including the pressure chamber in a state where the printing operation is performed, and includes a control unit that controls the circulation unit to continue the circulation for a predetermined time after the printing operation is completed.
MAINTENANCE APPARATUS, RECORDING APPARATUS, AND CONTROL METHOD
A maintenance apparatus that prevents a reduction in image quality of an image recorded by a liquid discharge head is provided. A maintenance apparatus includes an application unit configured to come into contact with a discharge surface included in a recording head and apply a cleaning liquid to the discharge surface, wherein discharge ports configured to discharge a liquid are formed on the discharge surface, a suction unit configured to suction the discharge surface, a movement unit configured to move the suction unit relative to the recording head, and a control unit configured to execute a first cleaning mode where, after the application unit applies the cleaning liquid, the suction unit suctions the discharge surface.
Inkjet printing apparatus and recovery method
The inkjet printing apparatus includes: a printing unit to eject ink; a wiping unit capable of wiping an ejection opening surface by moving relative to the ejection opening surface with an opening, adapted to be in contact with the ejection opening surface, put in contact with the ejection opening surface; a suction unit connected to the wiping unit and configured to apply negative pressure to the ejection opening surface via the opening; a moving unit to move the wiping unit relative to the ejection opening surface; and a control unit to perform suction wiping operation by wiping the ejection opening surface with the wiping unit while applying negative pressure to the ejection opening surface. The control unit determines the timing to perform the suction wiping operation, and, according to the timing, determines a moving speed of the moving unit and a pressure value caused by the suction unit.
